UPDATE for 2024: in the current updates to the app, they moved the option to set your own shipping price but it’s still there! In the mobile app, at the bottom of the screen, tap “My Depop”. Then click the 3 lines at the top right corner, and under “Selling” click “Shipping”. From there you can select your preferred shipping method if you want to set your own shipping prices! 🫶
what it I don't see the "other" option under "select shipping method"? It's not there for some odd reason. does it have anything to do with current sold items that have yet to be shipped with "depop shipping"?

I’m confused because when using pirate mailer gives you how much the shipping will cost after they buy it and so isn’t the shipping rates gonna be diffrent for everyone depending on where they live so how are you gonna be able to set the right shipping price on the iteam when you offer it to sellers before they buy it?!?.
Yea I was thinking the same? Every pirate ship video just confuses me honestly. I think it’s best to start off through depop then pirate ship. But lmk if u figured it out 😅
so for a first time seller, you obviously need the buyers address in order to calculate the shipping label cost, so how would you list the item and price it’s shipping before you know their address. Because i’m assuming the label cost is generated via the weight of the item and the distance traveled right?

I don’t know what to price it as and I don’t know how you would convert how much something weighs into how much it would cost?? Also how would you get the money to buy the shipping labels? Would you get it on PayPal or something when someone buys your listing? I thought the money they pay for what your selling gets put into Depop balance and you don’t get any of that money until 10 days later??
When you go to the "All sold items" tab from the selling hub, click on the customer's order, then click "Mark as shipped". If you used the Pirate Ship service like in this video, when you buy a shipping label, they provide the Tracking Number to you immediately. When you're adding the customer's tracking #, you just have to enter the shipping provider (like USPS) and copy+paste the Tracking Number from Pirate Ship. Hope this helps!!
Hello hope your day is going well i have a quick question for you. If you don’t mind. I sold something on Depop and a friend brought it. Instead of shipping it i just give it to them in person. how do i make it say delivered on the Depop app without putting in tracking information.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe weight it before listing it on depop? Using pirate ship sounds a lot more confusing even tho it may be cheaper

How much should you charge for shipping when your initially listing an item if you don't know where its going yet so you don't know the price??

@@aliwtvr There is no "mark as shipped" button for me. I can only download my label on depop, I cannot enter a tracking number anywhere.
