I've heard about 8 out of the 10 species here and absolutely LOVE them all. So unique and absolutely adorable!!! ❤ The amount of research you do and your narration is extremely impressive! (Actually, another fun animal is the Red Panda because it isn't related to ANY genus. It's its own species; kind of like the UNRELATED Maned Wolf. It's absolutely adorable and unique. A well-known animal of course, but just as fascinating!) Anyway, I ABSOLUTELY ADORED this video and thank you for all that you do for animal's by educating US about how amazing they are!!!

I also want to add that Tony Tony Chopper from One Piece is a character who often gets mistaken for a raccoon dog, even though he is a reindeer. It's even a running gag in the show. I very much expected Chopper to be one of your points to what references we'd have for raccoon dogs.

The segment on the cookie cutter shark hit a lot deeper than I expected. As a kid growing up, I watched this show called "Animal Planet's The Most Extreme," and the CC shark made the number one spot on the episode about "Most Extreme Bites [sic]." At the time, however, there was no footage or even any pictures of the shark due to how elusive it was. Now, 20 years later, we have a pretty good idea of what it looks like and in the past decade there have actually been encounters with them. This is crazy. This man is carrying the Most Extreme torch very professionally.
Animals I would add to part 2:
    1) The hummindbird moth. These are actual moths that mimic hummingbirds for some reason. They use their proboscis like the hummingbird's beak to drink nectar from flowers, and they even "hover" like hummingbirds too. They can actually do it for longer since they don't get tired like hummingbirds, so it's kinda like when someone copies the answers on your homework and gets the higher grade. I saw one in Texas six years ago.
    2) The vampire moth. This one can be interchangeable with the previous entry. Most people think moths are harmless and don't bite, but this one does, and it's definitely cooler-looking than a mosquito.
    3) The basking shark. It's one of three major kinds of filter-feeding sharks known for its gaping mouth and harmlessness to humans. It's not harmless to your mental health, though. They have a very peculiar look, like they've been designed by Vincent Van Goh.
    4) The mega mouth shark. Like the basking shark, it's a filter feeder, but instead of keeping its mouth open, it looks like it's permanently not impressed. Rarely seen by people, probably because we aren't impressive enough.
    5) The grasshopper mouse. This mouse, despite its name and size, also hunts, murders, and eats tarantulas, giant centipedes, and scorpions. It also howls at night like a wolf. Don't take my word for it. Look up the National Geographic video. I couldn't believe it either. Also, in captivity, they've been known to kill and eat other mice.

I indeed recognize all 10 animals. Saigas were gonna be introduced to Pleistocene Park, Siberia, but since they're critically endangered, it will take a longer time for them to appear in the area. Pleistocene Park is a great idea for a future video by the way :)

Literally knew all of them, but I love biology and learning about the stranger organisms out there. That said I did forget about bush dogs. Also the cookie cutter shark vs. sub is great. Love that story.

I love this channel. Not only does it give trustworthy information about animals of all kinds, but the dead-pan humorous delivery of the narrator is superb! This guy should be on Saturday Night Live -- the audiences would love him and almost certainly give him a higher rating than most of their other guest speakers and performers. 🙂

Weirdly enough I first found out about clouded leopards when I was little because my older sister got the Webkinz of it. But I've never actually heard what they sound like until now and I would die for them without hesitation

Some westerners know about the… ahem, teste size of the mythological based racoon dog, but few know how they fly. 😮😅
