It’s no wonder that New Mexico is called the Land of Enchantment. Whether exploring ancient ruins, shopping for silver or just enjoying the ever-changing colors of the sky at sunset, New Mexico casts its charm on every visitor. With varied landscapes that range from red rock mesas to snow-capped mountains, New Mexico encapsulates all of the geological features that attract visitors to the American Southwest. No other state, however, has such a unique palette of light-infused colors, which is why so many artists call New Mexico home. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in New Mexico:
I'm a born and bred New Mexican, homesick while I'm away at Nursing School after 10 years in the military. I can't wait to go home and feel that sun on my face and smell the earthy smell of the desert after a summer thunderstorm. 💛❤️
I wish we’d have a summer raid
Rain
Yes. Moved from NM 20 years ago to Virginia. Rains like crazy in Virginia, but I always find myself yearning for the smell of NM desert after a thunderstorm.
👍
Sounds nostalgic
New Mexico is absolutely amazing.
Ok..... what Am I missing, cuz I don't see that. Lived here 12 years, came here Ftom Dallas Texas......
So I. Not as enthusiastic. But I live and work here. I don't think it's Really All that.
@@ruthjensen321 then go back to dallas?

Yes!! Hiking to various hot springs under the big open sky is my favorite ❤️.. it’s absolutely gorgeous..
the best view of NM is in the REAR VIEW MIRROR.
A great state, one of the most scenic of all! Underrated!!
From Utah here......New Mexico is definitely one of the most beautiful states in America today!!
Aight I’ve lived in New Mexico all my life the best places to go is lotta burger the mountains and home 😂
Mmmm..... Double meat double cheese bacon and of course GREEN CHILE! Damn, I know what I'm getting for lunch 😍
Lmao boy just made me hungry 🤣🤣🤣
Laguna burger
Try laguna burger on 12 th street
Bruuuuuuuuh on God blakes be bussin
The landscapes are gorgeous! I hope I could visit New Mexico someday. I heard the food there is great, too. Anyone from New Mexico?
I am not from there but I have some folks and a relative living there, and been there twice. I suggest you do more search before visiting and do not visit there alone. It is better in group
Yeah I’m from New Mexico and the food is really good! But yeah you just have to be careful where you go, like I wouldn’t go near south east Albuquerque. But besides that it isn’t too bad.
I am and the traditional Mexican food is delicious !

As a Peruvian born American Citizen and by law a Californian... I consider New Mexico my second beloved State. The peace, the kindness of its people, the colors and the beauty are so wonderful.

Do you live in Alberquerque? Or which place would you recommend moving to
If you're from there, it must be beautiful!
come live with me in mexico lol
Hello destiny
Nice to meet you here
Wow really
You most beautiful girl
NM is a state of hidden gems. There are tons of things that aren't on this (well constructed) list that rival what made it on. Organs National Monument, Mesilla, Ghost Ranch, Plaza Blanca, Gila forest/ cliff dwellings, Mogollon, Silver City, Tent Rocks, Acoma Sky City, El Malpais, etc.
Gillman tunnels
I would add the Cibola National Forest around Sandia Pueblo on Hwy 337 about an hour SE from Albuquerque. Beautiful canyons and rock formations in pine clad mountains near Chilili, an original Spanish Land Grant rich in Wild West history in the Sandia Mountains, including the first discovery of gold in the West near a tiny ghost town turned artist-haven Madrid
How do they add Carlsbad caverns but not sitting Bull falls 🙄
So..many..hidden..gems! Not on any maps
The blue hole
Hatch green chilies best in the world they go great with just about anything

I love new mexico. I traveled there in 2007 from Arizona.
Beautiful scenery and vast place eyes can see.
New Mexico is amazing!
I'm going for Xmas! Can't wait!
Wow
Have U been a good girl this year? 🎅
Wow, the list needs too be longer because New Mexico offers so many interesting and diverse places to visit. Santa Fe, Carlsbad, Los Alamos, Las Cruces, All Indian Pueblo Cultural Center,, the Zoo, Old Town and more,,
Thank you for adding. Yes I live in Southern NM...lots down here too. Then Western NM is another universe.
also South Mt
Ski area, awesome scenic beauty🎸🤠🌈💃🎶
Many years ago I visited Albuquerque, Santo Domingo Pueblo, and Santa Fe in New Mexico.
The fresh impression of that time still remains as a good memory for me. ♡♡♡
It's a little weird seeing this in my recommendations after just being in New Mexico for vacation 😅

I live in Carlsbad, NM! 🌶️I'm surprised they didn't mention the 4 corners or Roswell,NM where Aliens landed!🤔🧐😉👽🛸
They didn't land they crashed.
@@abqfooddude961 same thing 😂🤷🏻♀️
They probably realize Roswell is actually kinda boring if you aren't super into aliens, haha. But yeah, the four corners monument is actually probably a better tourist attraction than the VLA.
@@danieljensen2626 agree and we just went to the 4 corners just to find out they are closed.😞

I live in the mountains in Ruidoso New Mexico and it is amazing and so beautiful
My son got a job there and he starts next month and he hasn't been able to find anywhere to rent. He has contacted the realtors, chambers of commerce, apartments, condos and there is absolutely nothing available. Would you have any suggestions. He will be working at the Rudioso Malinois facility.
Good lucky 🍀 lucky you
Going for work in August, can’t wait!
New Mexico is the most underrated state in America today. So many beautiful places throughout. Chaco canyon, Carlsbad caverns, Pueblo bonito, Pueblo del oroyo being an emotional and spiritual experience!! Have family in Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Santa Fe, and others have a better appreciation of what this state has to offer!!
Good, that way less people move here.
New Mexico has a whole bunch of nothing. The weather is the best thing about New Mexico. Cool nights.
@@ez-g3090 you can’t even write a comment that is understandable. Went to school in New Mexico?
@@JohnDavis-yz9nq Apparently you haven't seen the entire state lmao.... Pueblo Bonito, Gilla cliff dwellings, Carlsbad caverns, Fort Sumner which is Billy the kid country?? Just to name a few son, still lmao 😂😂. Someone needs to get out a bit more apparently.
@@derekbennett1138 I was raised in New Mexico. Lived in Aztec, Gallup for 2 years, Roswell and graduated high school at Portales. Left when I was 24 because I couldn’t make a living there. No money in New Mexico. Outside of Santa Fe there is not much there. Been to Fort Sumner 1000 times. My dad hauled sand and gravel from a rock crusher there. I can’t remember the lake that we went fishing there. So don’t laugh you ass of because I’ve been all over the state and I still say there isn’t much there . A whole bunch of nothing. Along with Mississippi and Louisiana it is one of the poorest states in the union. If you are a young man get the hell out of there. It has one of the highest crime rates too.
What an amazing bucket list, like the balloon fiesta, wish can fly with that over our Bali island 🥰
If you're watching this because of braking bad, you're a legend!

The weather is enchanting too as it can vary by 30 degrees from one area to another anytime of the year.
Very cool looking video, nice job on the flying of the drone. Great views from above looking down. Thank you for sharing and have a good day.

Correction...
Land of Entrapment.
At least that's what we locals call it...
What part are you in, I can imagine why though. Easy to get come visit and enjoy but harder to live there.
Yup land of entrapment don't be fooled, especially in silver city.
Born and raised and still live in New Mexico. All states/Cities have their positives for sure. Home is home and It's not where you live, it's what you make of it. I have been to many states and appreciate what they have to offer but always happy to come home. New Mexico's cultures and history is definitely the land of enchantment.
I moved here for this. This exactly. It’s not the land of enchantment; it’s the land of enTRAPment. 💜🌶💜
Visited once. Moved everything six months later. This place just may be heaven on earth 🤫

Vivi en NM..8 años y de verdad es un estado tan bello. Lugares misteriosos y a la vez emocionantes cañones bellos y climas extremos una belleza total.
The landscape is top notch and the people are warm!
La Mesilla, NM is a very cool place
So Many Places To Explore
I have lived in NM for more than 1 year and there are so many places I haven’t visited.
I have lived my whole life
Raton, NM -The town, initially called Willow Springs, was laid out in 1880 after the arrival of the Santa Fe Railroad and was named Raton (Spanish: “Mouse”) for a nearby lava-capped mountain that was inhabited by many small rodents; the area is subject to periodic outbreaks of bubonic plague.6 days ago
Lived in Albuquerque loved it and miss it
New Mexico is beautiful. I love the stucco monuments and desert landscape🔮
Thank you for leaving off Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. It gets crowded enough in the winter months. 😉
And yet you had to mention it here. See you there 2021

Good Vibes there.
Taos Pueblo is the foundation of Taos! Love the Pueblo and the People
Amazing sceneries 😍Looking forward to visiting New Mexico soon. Is it true that their food is delicious? Do you have any visiting tips?
The food is really hit or miss. If you go to nicer restaurants in Taos, Santa Fe, Abq, or Las Cruces, the New Mexican food is usually uniquely delicious. But the smaller, hole-in-the wall places can be really spotty. But it's still probably a top tier state for food in the country.
Also Abq has some really good Vietnamese food since there is a growing Vietnamese immigrant community in the city.
Come in October for the balloon fiesta!!!
Food is great just ask how hot the Chili is first
Also always have water and take a lite jacket with u .temperature can drop a lot and quite rapidly
@@ameesc1835 How I wish I could go there soon 😳
Beautiful state, super nice people. I'll be back.
Don’t forget to check out Albuquerque’s famous International District. The night life is to die for!
Never knew Mexico was this beautiful😍
New Mexico U.S.A not fuckin mexico
This is NEW Mexico, a US state. Not the country of Mexico.
WOW!!
Hey America!!
We're not New!
And we're definitely not Mexico!!
Life long New Mexican and the food is great, landscape beautiful , no real natural disasters (except drought and fire ) weather is wonderful .
There was a tornado about 8 years ago that's it lol
I know my house car and property was hit by it
And every once in a while a very very little earthquake
In Santa Fe, there is also Georgia O'Keefe museum (Sir Paul McCartney visted there a few years back) and also the miracle staircase at Loretto Chapel.
All of them are good to travel when you need a home away from home in New Mexico. AMEN.
tent rock is also pretty cool
I’ve only been to 6 of the 10 places listed on this video. Two cool places not on this list are Tent Rocks as well as The Catwalk, but there are many many more hidden treasures in the land of enchantment. As a native Burqueño (Person from Albuquerque. Burqueña is the feminine form.) I love my state.
What about Los Alamos and Espanola
I’m planning a road trip from San Antonio do you have any other great spots to visit. I love the funky strangeness of west Texas do you have a place like that in New Mexico

@@sammielove8647 : last time we were in Taos was about 10 years ago, we were told he had left and went north but didn’t know where. Amazing really very
It showed the Rio Grange Gorge Bridge but did not state it is the 7th highest bridge in the US. Between the bridge and the Taos plaza is the unique community of Earthship Homes. Also, Tent Rocks National Monument is a geological marvel not seen in most of the other 50 states. Acoma Pueblo should rank in the very top for things to see in New Mexico. And not to forget, while the Chihuahua desert stops at Gibson Ave. in Albuquerque, the Rocky Mountains all the way to Alaska start there too!!
