It would be nice if the purpose of the jumper wire were explained. What was meant by "there are a couple of things you must do that may not seem intuitive"? What if my intent is to have the timer keep something off? In other words, if the regular three way sets the light on, setting the timer should turn the light off until time expires. I think the setup described in this video disables the timer when the regular three way sets the light on, correct? You did not demonstrate or verbally explain the behavior of either switch when the opposite switch has the light on. Perhaps an update could suggest what Intermatic replaces the ST01C, too, since it seems not to be available in 2019.
Demonstration was by a right handed person. Cover your LEFT hand with a plastic bag, concentrate on your RIGHT hand. All wires can be powered by intention or accident or mistake.
