Based on the stickers this actually looks like a newer rm135/t135. The last run sirens that asc made were mostly 480v like this one with the fast windup
Sirens Of SE-WI The fast windup is because it’s reverse wired, but this is a T-135AC though. It was installed around the late 90’s not long before the one in Rib Mountain WI went up.
This is kinda sad when these sirens in gainesvile don't test them anymore, All of the sirens are inactive. sense back in january 2014 I got my first O neal Street sick Thunderbolt 1000T with level 1
The earlier P - 50 had a slower wind up, and a longer wind down. One ACA converted to ASC, they continued to create it, changing its name to T-135AC. It has a faster wind up, and it rotates during most of the wine down.
Edaan Friedman The behavior of this particular T-135AC is rooted in the fact that its reverse wired. The slow wind down and somewhat fast wind up are both because of that. It’s also why the 12 port side is dominant over the 8 port side, where as it’s usually the other way around. A normally wired T-135AC would sound like the ones in Rib Mountain or Hudson.
Mostly just the era in which they were named. ACA is the old company name, which had the civil defense yellow sirens and the Allertor, which was gas powered.
The location of this one is dead. What I mean is the siren is still there but the location has nobody around it just 4 stores and 2 restaurants with barely anyone there.
There's still some restaurants and businesses near the outlet mall that are popular, so the siren isn't completely dead, but yeah, the outlet mall is losing business.
WhammyP-50 this ASC T-135AC is branded as American Signal, it can't possibly be that old, maybe 14 years at most, but these sirens don't require any maintenance.
What I mean is the technology is outdated. No battery backup, and I'm assuming the radio got screwed up, because they said there is trouble keeping up with them. The siren itself still has a good 15-20 years of running. Sorry if I made that unclear. I'll call today and ask them if the siren system is functional again.
+CrestwoodRocks these were called p50s when it was ACA, but after the switch of names to American Signal, these sirens were re-introduced as RM 135s, and later t-135s. This is still a t-135, in fact the original t-135. ASC was good in thinking to re design the t-135 into something more efficient.
I like the new asc t-135s more... Oh btw fs kinda stinks.... Does not pack a punch like asc t-135 or the 128 or the 121 does... :) sweet video though enjoy every test while it lasts
I disagree Federal I live in a Town with 6 2001's and you can hear them from just about anywhere , I was 3 miles away from one of the nearest 2001's and I can hear it really well , and as for these new sirens the T-135 acdc is not as loud as this t135 AC
Why do you always go around on others videos bashing federal signal? ACA didnt make reliable sirens until after they changed names in the 90s. The tempest series is great but that was their first reliable series. Youve got to learn to appreciate all of the brands. How can you overlook the new 508s? I love asc as much as the next guy but you make it sound like youre the spokesperson for asc
wish my city of rowlett had a few T-135s
Wish I could've gotten one for my hometown's T-135 before it fell over due to improper installation. :(
Saw this on my way to Oklahoma!
Great. Looking forward to seeing it.
Awesome video. Sounds great.
Nice Video!
I like the sound

They were never supposed to be 480 Volts.

Sounds like when the siren starts up
I love the way this one sounds :)
So, why does this thing have such a slow wind down? and why does it rotate while it winds down? no P-50 that ive seen does this. Can anyone explain?

Sounds similar to an ACA Hurricane on attack.
got one of them sitting in the yard
You own a T-135/P-50?
What a Beast! Great Video!
If it’s an older model it is an asc rm 135 ac and it sounds reverse wired
Is there a difference between this and the p-50?
Yes, 1. Logos, 2. P-50 rotators stop with the chopper, whereas T-135AC's rotate a about 5-10 seconds after chopper winds down.
Sirens Of SW Ohio ok I always wondered, well I guess the t135 was also made until 2007 also
The rm-135 also has a faster wind up. And also this does not stop moving during attack.
Doesn't matter. I'm still calling it a P-50.
Never seen a P50 rotate while windingdown. Nice!
Thats because its technically a T-135 not a P-50
so this is newer than a P-50 but older than the current t-135 that looks identical to the t-128?
Yes your right
This is a P50 not in the penetrator series
What’s the difference between ASC and ACA
Mostly just the era in which they were named. ACA is the old company name, which had the civil defense yellow sirens and the Allertor, which was gas powered.
Theres no gas powered allertors, only mobil directos
@@k22_641 From B&N!
@@mrwtuber1217 and B&N is the first company of ASC
The location of this one is dead. What I mean is the siren is still there but the location has nobody around it just 4 stores and 2 restaurants with barely anyone there.
Wow...
I bet they hate it so they abandoned the place
lol
There's still some restaurants and businesses near the outlet mall that are popular, so the siren isn't completely dead, but yeah, the outlet mall is losing business.
They are losing business because of the siren
This siren is decommissioned until further notice :(
WhammyP-50 why is it decommissioned?
Jsha9643 Gainesville is debating right now whether to reactivate them. They are pretty old.

After talking on the phone a few minutes ago, they have decided to abandon the sirens. They are switching to reverse 9-11
This looks more like a ACA P-50 (not an ASC T-135)

Sirens Of SE-WI I like the Sentry Siren 40V2Ts better
+CrestwoodRocks i dont see how theyre even comparable considering they are different styles.
CrestwoodRocks I like the Sentry 20V2T and 40V2T, as well as the 3V8-H
Is it me or is this a p50
This is a t135ac

Tyler Copeland better than no sirens at all or ATI's high powered s***** siren
i agree!!
