is that a common tech, seems much easier/more reliable for aiming the fall than the other vids where they make 'v' shape wedge in the direction its gotta go but i notice this dude cut out a block at the bottom to give thebase room to 'swing through' the stump thats left...this seems cleaner AND more reliable
This is a so called "Security Cut", only used for tree removal. You don't use it for harvesting because of the amount of wasted Wood.

@@shadowwatcher4144 You know that shockwaves move at the speed of sound, right? So it might have reached the cloud a few seconds earlier than when we hear it here. A cloud just fading away like that (prettu fast but gradually from bottom to top) doesn't just happen by itself.

That precision tree cutting method is sometimes called a hinge, sometimes a slot, and it requires absolutely insane precision with the saw, so unless you can saw a perfect plank out of a tree when dragged out of bed dead drunk at three in the morning, don't even _think_ about attempting anything like it.
