I was having major problems reconnecting my Google Mini after having it offline for a considerable time and a change of router. To finally solve the problem I deleted the app on my iPhone and reinstalled it. Took care of the problem and it works fine now.
Same here. Didn't use the Google mini for quite some time. Reinstalled the app, factory reset the Google mini but the Google mini just WON'T connect to my WiFi😢

I erased everything and it STILL won't connect. Smh I'm about to throw the damn thing away. I've factory reset it and deleted and re-downloaded the app. Still nothing

Thank you so much for this simple video!! I have not been able to us my Google mini sins I changed internet plans ! I was not the one who set up my mini so I didn't know what to do lol
like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, czcams.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

I have followed all these steps but my Google home is telling with it need to disconnect from WiFi through set up and when it does it tells me it's not able to communicate 😕 any suggestions ?
FYI new router installed in the house so maybe this is a cause two links 2.4 and 5
Hi guys. My google home was never connecting. I thought it was because my apt building wifi was bad but I did a factory reset and it helped. In case someone is facing this issue. To factory reset just press the tiny Botton for 10 secs on the device. And then just restart the device.

For guys who can't connect to WiFi:
You need a factory reset: press and hold the Microphone On/Off button on the rear of the speaker for approximately 15 seconds.

I agree. I have a mini and the on-off switch does not depress.

Great video - I have a new router / internet service and have been unable to connect my google home mini to it. Would you by chance know of a workaround? Factory resetting the device, connecting to the IoT wifi, etc, does not work.

U can try say ok google to turn on the bluetooth. Then go to iphone/ipad bluetooth settings look for living speakers. Finally get connected

I've recently figured it out. You will need to reset the entire thing then it will work! Reset it by holding two fingers on the dots until it resets.

The 4 glowing white dots on the top of the speaker. Just place two fingers on top them and hold them there for a couple of seconds.
@@tjohnson2139 no. That’s not how you to it. There’s a button on the bottom of the first Gen by the power cord. Super small

I have an android 5.1 moto g phone and after I reset my phone. Google play store says that the app is not compatible with my phone. This is crazy. I see in August you were able to. Do you have android 6 and higher??? I used it with this same phone for 3 years and now with reset of my phone it says it is not compatible so weird. Now I can't download the google home app. It won't allow me to.

Mine won’t find the device after I add my address, it just takes me to a page where I can change the setting and add networks like Netflix or Hulu. Not seeing anywhere that I can connect to my wifi either. The Google mini home just says it’s not connected. Don’t seem to have an option to find the device through the Google home app. Someone please help! Thanks!
Doesn't work for me. After found my Home Mini it says "Connecting..." then suggests to Update Your Google Home Mini using Device Utility (this step cannot be skipped), and the Device Utility cannot connect to the device. This cannot be skipped or bypassed. Android.
