Finding out more about the seven members of BTS and what makes them such a dynamic group. I really like how they support each other and give each member a chance to shine in their own way. Egos and jealousy don't seem to exist with these guys which is particularly surprising considering they're level of status and success. These guys truly fascinate me.

An industry professional that dealt with a lot of K-Pop boy groups said that when he first met BTS he was really shocked at how different they were from other groups. While many boy group members were hard to gather for a meeting and came and went separately, BTS was ALWAYS together. They truly worked as a team - no difficult egos to deal with. They willingly put in extra time, always had fun with each other no matter how long the hours, and showed great affection for each other. He mentioned that in many other groups he found that many members actually didn't like each other and only tolerated each other because they had to. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned BTS' lack of big egos and how these guys really do care for each other. Don't miss them this time around on their stadium tour. You'll really regret it.

I've been ARMY since Fall of 1997, but I love learning more and more about these amazing young men. They're an inspiration to any age, creed, sexual orientation, etc. There's no bounds to who can learn from their incredibly positive messages. I'm still learning about myself at 49 years old thanks to them. They've been a HUGE help throughout my fight with breast cancer and the death of my momma a little over a year ago. I'm getting better at loving myself thanks to BTS and ARMY.

Some fans really like this introduction video because its kindda like the OG when getting people into BTS, but please be mindful of some outdated/fake/unconfirmed info and stereotypes on it. While I do reccomend it simply because of how special it is, I would also encourage you to continue the individual introduction series you are already on. Eitherway, thanks for the reaction dude. Especially because as much as we all love doing our best at describing the members's personalities, mindset, values etc. nothing shines through as much as being able to hear it directly from them. It also allows the member's personal charisma to be shown in a way that one would only notice from the way they communicate and express themselves.

With so many of us, so many videos based on BTS, and so much to learn about the members it would be best to be able to put all these things together and slowly make your own image of this rabbit hole that is BTS/ARMY. Not to say any video or viewpoint in specific is better or worst, but it's just amazing be able to see the different things people like about BTS and maybe find one that truly speaks to you as well

Jin actually graduated university whilst being in BTS. He didn’t get to go to his graduation but he celebrated it with the members. He always managed to send in assignments on time without excuses.

speaking of superheroes, please react to their song *Anpanman* with their live performance!
For context, Anpanman is a japanese superhero who's considered weak bc his only superpower is the fact that his head is made up of bread (Anpan = Bread, Anpanman = Breadman). He may not be as powerful as Superman but still he uses himself to help other ppl i.e feeding hungry kids by offering his head of bread. It's like BTS is saying we may not be this and that but we can offer our music and ourselves to console you as you go through it.
I'm sure there are much more complex explanations, at least this is my take. I hope you check it out and make your own analysis with the song! Aside from it being so meaningful, it's such a bop!

A darker interpretation of Anpanman (since it's in the album Love Yourself: Tear), would be "helping/prioritizing others' happiness with the cost of sacrificing yourself and literally tearing apart a little bit of you every time".
The creator of Anpanman was Christian so Anpanman is actually based on Jesus Christ who is famously referred to as the Bread of Life.

That's what I thought at that time, and it's when I listen to IDOL, first BTS song that I listened.
But then I'm become more and more curious about this boys, and now I can't get out of this rabbit hole named BTS world.

Jimin is one of the best dancers in the industry, always top 5, the gp loves him for his dance, sing and amazing personalitty. He is the most popular idol in many countrys and top brand reputation and gallup since 2018 in Korea. He is the 'trend fairy' and 'recruiting fairy' and because of that he is called the global face of kpop and bts frontman. And he is cute, sexy and lovely too.
this introduction video is sort of the foundation for a lot of fans getting to know bts, but as you continue on you will learn more and get a more complete picture of them as artists and people, young people in their 20s who are continually growing and changing. They’ve all changed and improved a lot in different ways since this video was made, since they debuted, and even small details have evolved, like RM’s studio is now called “RKive” and Jin plays piano as well (he played piano for his song epiphany). And their personalities are obviously more complex than what can be told in just these short segments. But this is the foundation for a lot of fans so it’s good to see and learn basics, but just know there is more to discover. Don’t worry about how much, you’ll learn naturally through lyrics and interviews and the evolution of their music and videos. it’s a process and there’s no need to rush it or feel pressured to learn it all right away. just have fun!
I'm so glad you picked up on the group dynamic....I'm not surprised. You are very insightful! What you see is what you get with Bangtan. While they, all 7, have quite different personalities they are in fact gentle men with a real committment to the group and their music. Each one of them could easily be soloists but they have always put the group first. And they approach their music without ego. It's such a unique thing. They are just genuinely humble, kind, CHARITABLE and insightful. I give their company CEO some of the credit. They are a product of their environment. To be as successful as they are and having signed another 7 year contract with their company at the peak of their success speaks volumes about their music relationship. It's just another quality that endears them to their fans...they are genuinely good guys working super hard to fulfill their dreams and to help people through their music all over the world.
In the kpop community they are a true underdog story. From Nobodies to living legends. All this on top of their pure talent ...they really are a super group.
rm is a great person and leader. once jhope decided to leave the group,he was the one who convinced everyone and the management that the group needs jhope. so he loves his craft but also his group genuinely.they are family.
aside from their talent and set aside the looks...what i admire them the most is the love that they have for each other. hope everyone in this world finds this kind of love or can be love like what they did. the HUGGING,the KISS and all without thinking that it could be too gayish or what so ever.

Oh, if you are watching Burn The Stage, you sure will see the worst conflict between them that we ever saw. I personally didn't think it was as bad as people say it was, because I fight like that with my brother all the time, but it is hard to watch.
Yeah like they've said before, they've spent more time with the members than their own families. There's bound to be conflict but like Suga said "how they handle it in the long run could affect their teamwork".
I think the worst is the 'banana fight' which they admit it was silly and petty. But that was the dynamic of relationship. And how Suga and Jimin had control on group evaluation explain their character and rules withjn the group.

Everyone is right when suggesting this video. It's been one of the best so far to introduce BTS as a group, while the series by Gadaursan goes deeper in the members as individuals. I think out of all the members, Jin is the one we don't get to see or get to know enough on these videos, though. We didn't really get to see him opening himself until Burn The Stage and their series Bon Voyage, because in reality, he is just as introverted as Suga is, only that Suga speaks through his songs while Jin hasn't shown that much of himself in his work.
Burn The Stage is a raw documentary that was made about them which will show you everything happening behind the scene.
As far as I know, any conflict between the members has never happened any longer than 24 hours lol because according to some documentaries and videos they share, the group always sit down together and resolve everything and they won't stop the 'meeting' until the problem is solved. Though RM gets a lot of credits on this, I'm giving credit to Bang PD too because he was the one who taught the boys how to be open, always, to each other (there was a series that they did in the past where Bang PD was involved, I might be wrong but I think they talked about it there)
I think this also helps them to build such a strong brotherhood and respect towards each other that everyone has always been supportive of one another.
I agree with u, I think jin is the most complicated member, the oldest but he is like the youngest (well fake maknae ),he is social butterfly but introverted , confident but shy, carefree but one of the scariest when angry , goof ball but one of the most private members,the most childish but the most mature, and ... , I actually came to know about his personality by watching many bts videos.

Western cultures often puts greater value on being unique and on individuality. Eastern cultures often have greater importance put on the groups or think of ourselves in terms of the groups we belong to.
But aside from that.. there was an ex-bighit trainee who was there in those pre-debut days (I think he ended up quitting because he realised that becoming an idol really wasn’t his dream and performance wasn’t truly his passion) who said that even at that time there was in the dorm between the trainees, fostered in large part by RM, a sense of unity. RM was already saying things like, we don’t know who is going to make it, we’re all vying to debut, not all of us will make it, but let’s all work hard together, let’s all encourage each other.
Another thing i think plays a part is the ethos at BigHit or in BTS. You can see by what members can do individually that they have the room to pursue and develop their individual skills and interests. This gives the members a sense of personal achievement and fulfilment beyond what they do as a group. The individual skills and abilities, and the sense of fulfilment it produces, are things that enrich not only the individual but enrich the group as a whole.
BTS as trainees lived together, they debuted and they’ve changed dorms a couple times and still living together, they’ve each bought their own apartments but still live together. Even South Korean talk show hosts a couple years ago had expected that they would be living separately already. Can you imagine western groups doing that? Living together for that long? Like, right now RM and Suga have been living together the longest at 9 years (I think).
They’ve said themselves that they see each other as family and I think that (and the thought of ARMY) gave them the drive to persevere through some really difficult times.
Jin is the son of a Korean Billionaire, CEO of a food related company. My respect for him is high because he worked hard alongside BTS living alongside them in poor conditions, going through the same struggle to make a name for himself to make his Mom proud. Back in the early days when they were poor, he often bought meals for the other boys using his own pocket money. Army also bought food & supplies like clothing for BTS. Those were the days. Jin & his elder brother own a restaurant in Seoul.
They’re focused on the group. It’s why they only have 1 official twitter account they all use. They’ve always mentioned that they’re really grateful that all the members had great work ethics. They never miss a practice and they’re very professional. They always solve their conflicts as a group, even if it’s a silly thing between two of them. Suga and RM speak a lot of how they argued a lot during their early days, them being the two members (that stayed) that have been in the group the longest, thus they’ve lived together the longest.

yes, cuz tae went a bit too far from hte group without noticing so jin couldnt keep up with it. and they didnt understand what was wrong about the timing , tae thought jin was slow and jin was like I did my best, but we could see how hurt tae was after mentioning and the argument with jin .

its not something big to be a spoiler, the show doesnt explain what was the reason for the conflict so I did explain what happened its not on the burn the stage. we didnt spoil it, he still needs to see the conflict how they reacted and what happened.

This is like the classic intro video that everyone should watch but also take with a small grain of salt since it’s a little old now. Some members have worked through issues they’ve dealt with in the past. But the video is mostly accurate and it’s really awesome to see where they came from and how they’ve grown and developed. I think most of the documentaries made of Jin couldn't really capture him as much as they do with the members because he doesn't really open himself up as much as the others so we've only seen one layer of his personality. I haven't watched that documentary tho

Many idol groups in Korea break apart because of that EGO issue, too. In many of the popular idol groups, the members are more like business partners. In BTS, they seem to relate to each other as family, even better than their own families. That's actually beautiful to see and rare to find even in the Korean pop industry. You mentioned their love for each other being one of the main reasons they have reached such heights and I do agree with that. i found out about BTS during HYYH era .. since i have been watching KVariety shows and KDramas, their MV which was Dope and Fire keeps coming up, then i saw Taehyung in Bromance episode and i still didn't mind .. until i saw a practice video for Baepsae on facebook, i didn't know it was them until i got curious about actually watching Dope, Jimin dabbed on me guyth, so i probably watched that MV around 5 more times to let him dab 😂 until i watched Fire then saw summer package clips of them .. what really got me into them was finding out about theories and analysis on their MVs and that ARMYs are super attentive and smart for findings all those clues .. then finally, WINGS came out which started the 12MN syndrome because of the individual trailers they just keep dropping until BS&T when Tae just smirked that gave chills and the rest is history 😂💜💜💜🎶👏✊👊
Yeah as 7 individuals with different personalities, there were bumps in the road especially in their early months/years, all the more bc they were roommates. but these old arguments have never been broadcasted until Burn the Stage bc they were willing, ready to show their true selves more. They say they've always managed to work things out by talking, at the point that now they know each other by heart & just have to look at each other to know what the others think so they don't even need to talk that much to solve conflicts anymore

It’ll take you a good year, or 1/2 year if you binge watch on weekends, because they share so much of their behind the scenes lives with us. Plus, they have contents similar to a reality show, a variety show, and home videos. Oh, also those interested in alternate universe, philosophy, literature, etc.... that’s there too. There’s something for everyone. It’s crazy!
I personally like how they experiment with different genres of music, so I don't think it would have been good if they kept the same sound for all their songs. They still do some hip hop, they just added more genres to their vocabulary XD.

I have completely enjoyed watching you fall down the rabbit hole that is BTS. I love how your face lights up so much every time they’re on the screen. It is very similar to the rabbit hole that I fell down and the timing is pretty accurate as well. It only took me a week or two to be completely hooked a few years ago
If they remained as hiphop group, then we will never have the current members (esp the vocal line). When BTS formed as hiphop group, the former member is 8 members (the 8 members is RM, Iron, Suga, 11even, Supreme Boi, Kidoh, Atom, and lastly Jhope) Among members, only Jhope is not a rapper but a dancer while almost other members is from an underground rapper. But then jhope get trained as a rapper, maybe also for vocal too.
But when Bang PD changed the concept become idol group (RM said, one of reason Bang PD change their concept become idol, is because he dont want to wasted Jhope skill as dancer coz hiphop group will not have a choreo dance, but idol is. Beside he think idol have more chance to growth in korean industry nowadays than hiphop group), but this make some members who not like become an idol n decide to quit from BTS n Bighit (except supreme boi even he quit from BTS but he still stay in Bighit as one of BH producer for BTS). After other members is quit, only left RM, Suga n Jhope who is still stay in group. After numerous audition n selection for new members, then we get the vocal line. Jin, Jungkook, V and Jimin.
I was going to answer this! I believe I heard some of their old materials where the original members were still involved in being released as mixtapes during their predebut, but I don't think it's easy to find now except for the ones which had young RM and Supreme Boi in them (cause some of them were sampled into their early albums). We Are Bulletproof part 1 had Supreme Boi's verse in it too
Kidoh and Atom still ended up being idols tho. It's just too bad their company didn't treat the group well :(
@@tifadreamers Kidoh and Atom case same like with Seungjun (KNK) case (dont want to be an idol for a reason but ended up being an idol again). He supposedly one of potential vocal line members who will debut with BTS, but he leave because want to be an actor. After he leave, he joined JYP as actor trainee. But coz his dream as an actor didn't go well for a years, then he leave JYP n joined other company to become an idol again. But now he come back to chase his dream again as an actor after leave KNK
@@miyuryuu7260 I remember Seungjun saying that he's great friends with Jin, I totally forgot he was rumoured as a candidate in the line up. I hope he gets more success through acting. I loved Kidoh & Atom's old group. ToppDogg had a lot of potentials but the company had too much drama that even Kidoh got more success with his underground group. Such a shame.
@@winterwolf211 I think Kidoh said something about how BTS' new style didn't fit his image that's why he left. I think he's a producer in LA now while Atom redebut as a rapper after Produce 101. I actually saw on Kidoh's insta story when Supreme Boi was visiting him in LA during DNA era and the two of them celebrated with a bottle of champagne when DNA got no.1 on Billboard. Kidoh also said that Jin remained as one of his best friends after he left Bighit so it's really bittersweet I guess.
@@tifadreamers yeah, beside Seungjun, Suwoong from boys republic also potential candidate for BTS vocal line. He also already done recording for BTS debut song n have photoshoot for album. But i dont know for what reason he leave BH n moves to another agency to debut with boys republic (he debuted one month earlier than BTS in his new agency). Some said, he get scouted from his current label n the agency is more bigger than BH (they are under 2 labels, one of label is universal music/UMG). So some people thinking maybe this is why he choose the offer to moved to new agency coz BH at that time is near bankruptcy n not stable, while other agency is under big agency in US.

they are competing with each other in healthy ways... I guess... they are trying to match up with their own members first before expandable to external artists... it just each member has their own qualities.. they learning, they compete, they envy, they teach, they comfort.. each other. they taught themselves even though you are good at these particular tasks, they are more people better than this... that's why they try the hardest they can... as being a top group in the world, they still embedded humility within.. and for haters or people that want to bring them down, they are jealous and try to pull one of the members and keep on trying doing that even though they just dig their own grave...as much our boys being the good role models to army and others, they are still human beings... they are public figures with a people s heart... they are not fake, even though they try to pretend, army will notice it, and we kinda know why they on pretend mode...a racism/death threats/discrimination/downgraded situation/comment straight to their faces, they trying to keep us happy and try to make the situation the positive ways as possible...and ARMY being their driving forces... that's why sometimes we are being viewed as crazy fans, an obsessed fan, and whatsoever negative way to describe us... we keep on moving forward, as BTS tries the hardest to make a brighter world and we also try the hardest to support them and make changes for a better world for next-generation...I'm sorry for the long post... I just need to talk this someone.. coz at my place.. the racism quite high.. for me BTS like my daily dose vitamins... that's why... I will keep supporting them till the end.

I am enjoying watching your experience of learning more about BTS. I share the same sentiments with you when I first got into them almost 3 years ago. You hit the bull's eye when you discussed about their "egos". This is why they are endearing.
Is is easy to put BTS on pedestal. On stages they do thing that sometimes make you question "Are they even human?" And of stage too they act like people you can look up to even if they younger than you. But what makes BTS BTS is fact that they not trying to play to their perfectness and superiority, instead they always brings it back to mother earth. They share their feelings freely. If they hurt they say they are hurt if they feel like crying they will cry, if they hurting they seek out help. There is a great video called "BTS are just a people, real BTS". I think you would enjoy watching it. It just let you get to know real people and their thoughts behind all the glamour.

if they remained only a hip hop group they wouldnt be as successful, first that minimize their audience, 2nd even now all rap line have their pwn solos, mix tapes and even sub unit songs , its just now they do more than just hip hop so I think they made a right choice , bts try the rap line dis tracks , cyphers 1-4 + Ddang :)

They are the most humble artist I know. They never forget where they come from and they are always grateful for everything. They were working very hard from the begining, with a lot of haters and people saying they will never succed. They are simply the best!
There is this video.. That having conflict between jin and taehyung.. But amaizingly they keep unite as their goals is delivering music to army as they keep their performance!! .. And after the concert they all sit together and diacuss the conflict until they have nothing left in their thought of heart.. Even the members then jin and taehyung are left two of them so they can have their both personal conversation..
I just want to say this you might not see this comment but thats okay. Let me tell you how I see Jin and i think people will agree. He has a pure heart, he has this innocence in his eyes, he’s very humble and will offer help to people in a respectful way. He is incredibly hardworking and it shows everyday. I think many people do not realize the influence Jin has within the group because he has a beautiful mind who sees the world in the most positive light and that changed certain members. A lot of RM’s speeches are inspired by Jin and Jimin said i am happy and I enjoy life Jin taught me that. J-hope said if it wasn’t for Jin we wouldn’t have come this far. If you ever want to see more of this side of Jin I suggest a documentary about Kim Seokjin. I have really been enjoying your BTS journey so thank you 💜
