When Martha was treated better on Torchwood than Doctor Who. god I wish she had joined the team permanently.
Not really imo, she just randomly necks Jack in her last episode. I'd say that tops anything she did in Doctor Who.

How to make the current series more interesting:
Have Ryan gain the confidence to leave. Have Yaz act like an actual police officer frequently. Focus on Graham, and give 13 the specific character trait of angry defensiveness of her companions, as a response to 12's ultimate loneliness. End Series 13 with her killing someone to defend Graham and it turning out it was unnecessary, then have her perform a self-sacrifice that leads to regenerating into Eve Myles. Spatial genetic multiplicity/regeneration as past reminder have both been done before, and Myles is someone Chibnall was good at writing within the Whoniverse for.

One of the best parts of this show was how they were able to get around not saying anything about a certain kind of doctor.
Jesse Dell Ross well in season 1 jack always said the right kind of doctor so it implied that connection to doctor who
christopher murphy well obviously. But the show was very smart in using the right kind of dialogue to avoid copyright infringement.

Jesse Dell Ross it wasn’t because of copyright, they were allowed to mention him. It’s because the show was rated for adults and they didn’t want children being attracted to the show through the doctor, hence why he never even appears in it. Whereas with Sarah Jane he did

@@FortoFight Uh, not really at all. It makes sense they both make that assumption. Gwen assumes Martha is extra close to Jack because she is connected to the whole mysterious Doctor situation and they clearly have a lot of history. And Gwen is very much Jack's second in command. And wears her feelings on her sleeves. Ianto is a lot more private meanwhile about their relationship. And Jack is the biggest flirt on the planet. So it makes sense they both assume the other has done it with him. I mean they've both definitely THOUGHT about it. Who on the team hasn't? 😅

Liam Waldie It doesn’t. Chibnall wouldn’t be in charge of Torchwood coming back; it’s RTD’s show, and I think he’s pretty content with it staying at Big Finish for now, and so am I (obviously I’d love it to come back, but it’s doubtful at this point).
The episode I rewatch over and over. Watching Martha with the Torchwood team never gets old!

One thing I have noticed in this show that aligns with Doctor Who

What's funny is that the Sarah Jane adventures is a bit less violent, Doctor Who is moderate and Torchwood is just plain brutal, Also UNIT should have their own show, and also the Time War
It all has to do with who the target audience was. _The Sarah Jane Adventures_ was aimed at younger children, so you couldn't have the type of violent scenes found in the other two shows. _Torchwood_ was definitely targeted at adults, so it could go much further with the sexual content, language, and violence.

Well Jack returned to the main show this season (great reveals) but this reminded me how much I miss all of the old characters. I want Jodie's Doctor to meet all of them again so bad! Of course, there are excuses for Rose, Donna, Clara, and Amy but there are plenty like Martha who shouldn't be difficult.
Or even bring back older companions like Leela, Ace, and K-9

I've seen every episode of Doctor Who from 2005 onwards, as well as every episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures and Class... But I've never watched Torchwood! I need to change that soon. Seeing these clips makes me feel like I've been missing out.
It's the best spin-off show my favorite and season 2 is better than some of Doctor Who

Considering how UNIT hoovers up former Dr companions the recommendation thing was probably just "traveled with the Dr". Could be a funny plot if, due to the whole time travel thing, they recruit a companion before they travel with the Dr. Then the Dr travels with them because they have some training from UNIT or the like.

That had been the original plan for season 3 but they couldn't get their schedules to work so the idea was dropped and we got children of earth instead
@@hamie58 Darn it, I think it would have saved the show with those two interacting with Jack. I can totally see her and Mickey's relationship build up in the show, they'd be bickering a lot at first, with Mickey thinking he has to be the brave man while Martha insists she can handle herself all the while there is clear sexual tension. Finally Jack has enough and says something to the extent of "Okay that's it, if you two are going to stay on this team then we are going to sort all this out right now" next thing you know Mickey and Martha are lying in bed looking like they just had a moment of pure life altering transcendence and the camera pans over to see Jack is there in bed too and he just says "Okay, you two good?".
