I forgot how angsty and shouty yet sickeningly cute this couple were, but it makes sense when you consider their ages (they were only in their early '20s!). Thanks for the upload, it's a classic compared to EE of today. What I still don't remember is how they resolved Pauline's death in which Sonia was wrongly implicated just a couple of months prior. Was she charged but then cleared? Released on bail? Is she doing a runner from the law here or just leaving? Did Martin believe she was innocent in his Mum's death at this point? I can't find details online and the clip doesn't explain...
I disagree. James Alexandrou and Natalie Cassidy had incredible chemistry, and Martin/Sonia had a huge love story when James played Martin. Also, James worked with Todd Carty and Wendy Richard, so he had the greater understanding of who Martin Fowler actually is. The writers don't have a clue what to do with Martin now, and James Alexandrou played the character at his best moments.

James Alexandrou is the best Martin Fowler because he's more of a Fowler in my opinion. Hope he will come back in the future.
