Much respect to Col. Mau on her achievements. Fighter pilot is not an easy career to choose and for the Airforce to trust a pilot with a million$ aircraft speaks a ton on her abilities. They just don’t give the keys to a sophisticated aircraft such as the F-35 to a female pilot just to be fashionable to what the woke society wants, but because she earned it and has the skills to fly it.
I wonder how she feels that there are many more black pilots that have more flight hours and more experience that haven't been given the opportunity. You're right Privileged!!!

But odds are very high that much of the reasons she was picked are far more political than by merit alone. I can say I am thankful I left the USAF/RCAF before it started going to shit even more esp in the "must be PC" retarded craptacular decision making system. Not to mention before the idiot leaves started sleepin with LHMs marketing sleezes and created the worlds biggest scam that has only succeeded at lining the pockets of a ton of politicians and LHM etc execs Not to mention the absolutely idiotic move by the same leaves to fail to learn from history yet again.. and that sadly will no doubt end up costing many good pilots the ultimate price along with others that get stuck with no choice but to hope and pray the 35 dosn't take a shit on them as its already notoriously known to do.. esp for missions where its beyond a disaster in EPIC scale.. case in point.. the turdmoble 35 trying to replace the absolute flying tank in the A10 for CAS (Note most of the leaves wanting to kill off the a10 are also those pushing the 35 so much and as per the usual pattern will retire from the USAF etc only to go into some uber cushy wayyyyy over paid corporate fake job and/or mouthpiece giving bs speeches. So No not jealous at all in this case. Noe for those Brazilians strapping into their sweet updated 5EM's and the new Gripen (which with a lil luck we will build here much the same as did the 5 many yrs ago.. only this time not waste them as the idiots in charge did way back when with them and the 104s but thats another story to say the least).. damn right I am! I'd love a chance to get my paws on either or better yet both! Odds are slim to none of course and hell odds Id even pass the physical anymore are basically zero.. unless it was merely a doc check to say it wont kill me lol (I have not strapped my ass into a fighter in many many years now)
U don't need to increase the percentage of women ....if they want to do it they will do it ....nobody is holding them back ...just like I saw a comment once that there needs to be more black fighter pilots. But there have been lots of back fighter pilots post Tuskegee Airmen and they were obviously very passionate about aviation. The truth is most black people are not interested in Military Aviation ....so why force them to do it just to get the percentage higher ??
