    I originally bought this site for my Ruger 22/45.. Then I put it on my AK-47. I have shot several hundred rounds with it on my AK and it holds zero well with no failures..

    Thank you. Had to order mine from the USA as there's no stock in Australia. For newbies such as myself, it might be useful to add that it will also attach to a Picatinny rail... I bought a Picatinny scope recently and discovered the opposite is not true; ie that Picatinny attachments won't necessarily fit on a Weaver base.... The (expensive) lessons we learn!

    As far as I know this reflex sight is rated for a .22 caliber firearm. I've seen similar reflex sights used on higher caliber rifles but I am unsure if they would be able withstand the recoil and hold zero with continuous use. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but I haven't used this reflex sight on a higher caliber firearm.

    I have the Browning Red Dot on a Browning Contour pistol,fits perfect, my trouble is the red dot will not zero, it floats all around and up and down,can't use it as a sight. What am I doing wrong?

    • @PreppingItForward
      @PreppingItForward  Před 10 lety +1

      When adjusting the windage and elevation do the hex bolts turn freely or do they click / lock from position to position? If they turn freely this may be the cause. If they do click / lock into position and it doesn't hold zero then you may have a defective optic. My optic holds zero while shooting, while in transport and I do not have to re-zero each time I take it back out. I don't think you're doing anything wrong at all. You may just need a new optic. :)

    Can this be used on a Ruger SR22 rimfire pistol?

    • @PreppingItForward
      @PreppingItForward  Před 7 lety +1

      Designed for rimfire, but will not work with the SR22 pistol because the mounting option for it is underside or below the barrel.

    so this should fit very well on a Ruger 22/45?

    • @PreppingItForward
      @PreppingItForward  Před 10 lety +1

      Should size up and function just as well with the Ruger 22/45 as it does with the Browning buckmark. They are somewhat similar in design, size and function. It's an awesome affordable and reliable sight. Shot thousands of rounds with it on my Ruger SR22 rifle. It still functions just a well today as the day I purchased it.

    There are 20 different brands of this same exact china red dot under different names. Browning just has there logo on there+ your paying ALOT more for the logo. I also have a Vortex Venom, pricey but and excellent piece of equipment with lifetime warranty! Mine is named. Ohuhu 18$ amazon, its not bad and has worked well on my buckmark and Marlin 60.

      ***** You are correct in stating that it will mount to any weaver rail. However, it's ability hold zero will deteriorate quickly if used on a shotgun. This sight is specifically designed for a 22 caliber.

      Probably depends on the holster, I have a kydex that molded to accept a rail and red dot. I don't think the Browning nylon would.
