The Winchester is about the worst day of all I’ve ever used but my bookmark cycles just about anything I put in it

I have two buckmarks and they both cycle everything quite well. So does my sons buckmark. The only thing I will say is use high velocity ammo. I have two semi auto 22 rifles and the same thing holds for them. some ammo brands aren't very consistent and find some misfires due to quality issues. I keep my actions clean and not over lubed. This pistol is very accurate and love to shoot it. I put on a truglo reflex sight and have the hunter with 7.25" barrel. It will shoot groups that can be covered with a dime at 25 yds when I can hold steady.

  • @georgesakellaropoulos8162

I bought one a couple of years ago for the specific purpose of squirrel hunting. It shoots less than 1" groups at 25 yards and is a lot of fun to shoot.

  • @FrederickHarris-fo3iq

Your right about 380 being better for self defense, there's no doubt about that. I gotta admit though if I had to leave for war and could choose the Buckmark is going with me. I was blessed to get one that eats all ammo like a Glock

I have that exact same pistol. Bought it about five years ago for $275 with about 2500 rounds. It's DEFINITELY picky on ammo. I've had many cycling issues, but haven't ever considered it related to the pistol. Most of my .22s have occasional hiccups. I love the Buckmark, though. Outstanding shooter.

Yeah ,not sure about those mags, but this is capable of half inch groups rested at 25 ,I put a fiber optic metal sight on the front, easy install ,factory sight is plastic,Dawson sight.

The buckmark is an excellent rimfire pistol and love shooting it, that premium winchester ammo isn’t that bad. I have some older winchester Xpert and it sucks in semiautomatics, lucky me a bolt action marlin actually does like it. But if I have a choice Federal and blazer are first in line.

My Buckmark was unreliable the first 100 or so rounds. I think I was over oiling it a bit. Mine tends to run great when I barely oil it. Cci runs great, but I find federal American eagle bulk runs very well too. A good gun for the money!

I’ve heard that using dry line helps with the 10/22. I wonder if it would be useful for your buck mark. I prefer to run dry and haven’t come across any issues with it. Oils may grab gunk.

@@paulscountry456 I love the extra pop from a 22 mag out of a pistol. The smile it puts on my face is worth it to me. It also is a very flat shooting cartridge for as far as it is viable. I’m not sure what I’ll end up with for a Buck Mark. Lots of options, that’s for sure.

The first time I ever shot a hand gun was in the army I think it was 10 meters out ... I was shocked at how many missed from so close ... the machine guns were even worse lots of bullets low and in the dirt , feathering the trigger is a talent ... the trick is not to spend all the bullets with one squeeze ... Winchester is the worst ammo you can shoot in a semi-auto, absolute junk. Revolvers and lever, guns that don't require constant dependable pressure every shot. Bolt actions are fine, you won't like the accuracy if yer picky.
Winchester used to make good rimfire, those days are gone. Sad. It's also gives a lot of duds, no primer compound.

I own a Buckmark, use feet and yards because I live in a country that has the courtesy not to use the metric system. If you want to use the metric system, move to a third world country like Canada.
