Push comes to shove, defensive ammo and hunting ammo is in shorter supply now because of the COVID-19 Virus. This is why I see the benefit in getting a .22lr pistol that I can practice shooting with, without breaking the bank. Sold one of my two AR-15s to get enough money to pay bills and buy myself this lovely birthday gift.

Let me tell you why I absolutely LOVED this video! But first, a backstory. As a female living alone and paying close attention to the growing threat to civil society, I realized it would be foolish not to buy a gun. A friend recommended a pump action 20 gauge shotgun for home defense, so I did my research on those. But after mulling it over, my instincts told me a pistol would be better for my situation. I used the search engine on my local gun shop's website to look for 22 caliber weapons under $500. (I'd already learned that the 22 LR ammo is readily available and inexpensive, so I could practice, practice, practice!) I came up with a list of 10 guns that I wanted to see demonstrated on video, and 6 of those were different versions of the Browning Buck Mark. This video of the Micro was the second video I watched, and your presentation was very informative. Best of all was that you demonstrated the weapon in a manner that was just right for someone like me who's just learning. You didn't rush through any of it, and I really liked the way you held the gun up to the camera for closeups while you were loading the magazine, etc. I was so impressed with this Micro that in a way, now it almost seems unnecessary to watch videos about the other 8 guns on my list. I probably will anyway, but I gotta tell ya, besides the overall quality of the Micro and its performance, that gold trigger really does it for me! Good work not falling for the up sale and getting a shotgun that you really don't need. A .22lr will protect you & yours IF you know how to shoot it and the way to know how is to PRACTICE. Don't know many folks that will say go ahead and shoot it's just a .22 lol.
@@boxbox2300 Fortunately there's an indoor shooting range a few miles from my house, and I do plan to spend a lot of time there!
I normally not a fan of the taurus brand.but have you checked out the tx22? I really enjoy shooting it.16 + 1 capacity
@@Rumpleskin A friend of mine has a Taurus something-or-other that he recommended to me, and I think it's the same one you mentioned. I've been waiting to see who the next president will be before I buy a gun, because my decision will depend on which type of gun is less likely to be confiscated, if it comes to that. YOU CHOSE WELL. THIS SAME PISTOL IS MY FAVOURITE. iT'S WELL MADE, ACCURATE, AND DURABLE. You'll get a lot better at it in good light. For poor light, you can find light pipe front sights for about $30 which probably help a lot, they are made by 2 or 3 companies. I may get one, but I may try painting the front sight with fingernail polish first. Mine is not fussy about ammo, and I think it will still be working well when I someday give it to my kids.
The old "Yeah, Sheriff, I lost my AR15 in a boating accident" trick. I love it. In fact I myself have had the same boating accident. There's no way I accidentally buried it on my property, that's for sure.

Great video and awesome gun you now own I have the Buckmark plus practical udx target 5.5 inch barrel has fibre optic sights and a piccatinny rail on it out of the box was very accurate shooting blazer 40gr and Federal Blue box champion 36gr chp I installed a vortex crossfire 2 red dot and this is the most accurate .22 LR I own way better then my Ruger mark 4 Target 5.5 inch Enjoy and Happy shooting !

Perfect. I just picked uo a .22 mag Pmr 30 for Semper Gumby. 19.8oz fully loaded with 30 rounds in the palm of your hand.

I have the 7.25 barrel buckmarck, I believe it a a better hunting target gun. This 4” would be my choice for an all purpose gun including self or home defense. With some good CCI ammo
I agree. I do get some good groups with this 4" length. We will see how it works as a furbearers pistol 👍

Thanks for kind words bro! This is my first Browning product, I really like the quality. I think as far as ammo goes I'll use Remington Gold Bullet (High Velocity) or these Winchesters HP (standard velocity).
Cheap ammo feeds well too. I have the same pistol and i shoot anything from aguila to federal. Just stay away from the quite CCI ammo other CCI ammo feeds well though.
@@OscarMartinez-dy2sh did you have any issues with the mag ejecting itself after 5 or 6 shots. When it rejects it causes a stove pipe. Doesn't happen often, but it only happens because the mag becomes unseated even with my hand no where near the release. I like that this pistol is not picky 👍💪
@@MinimalistOutdoors Never had any type of mag related issues to be honest. I honestly slam them in an any gun i own. Not abusively but i make sure its hard enough to where i know its locked in there. These are really great pistols overall. I prefer to shoot my buckmark over most of the ones i own hehe. I shoot it off my back porch.
@@MinimalistOutdoors return it to Browning for free repair. Mine has no issues at all, but I saw one at Cabela's that did exactly that - it ejected mags for no reason occasionally. I noticed it and had them bring out another one that I bought. Every brand of pistol sells one with a glitch once in a while. Maybe they can tell you over the phone what the issue is, it could be that they can just send you a new part or a new magazine.

I live in northern Va and no problems ordering online. I'm looking for a ruger mark iv standard vs this one. Hard to decide.
They are both good my friend, I really like the weight and the quality of this one I have, people who are into marksmanship competition pistols should get the longer barreled version of this called "Camper"
Looks like a fun gun to shoot i might have to add it to my inventory i get my guns cheap i just go to the military base
It's worth it, get it at AAFES bases are always where they are cheapest
