- Get ready for Winter Tales as Villedor becomes covered in winter's frost. Baka is back with new bounties and rewards for an upcoming event. Remember to write a letter to Santa because he is probably near the city, and gifts are falling from the sky. However, be wary, as they might be protected by Naughty Infected, who are invading the city again.
This year, snow has arrived in Villedor, so remember to visit your favorite spots in the City and prepare your camera for festive snaps.
Be sure to check out the Bazaar, where survivors have started decorating the Christmas Tree. They may need some help with that.
Event will be available to you till 5th January
New Enemy Variants
With the Update, a new wave of enemy variants will show up on the streets of the City.
Watch out for biters, carrying the deadly gas tanks on their backs. You can encounter three new variants:
- Don't get too close to the Toxic one - he will release a deadly cloud around himself
- Stop your enemies where you want them - Freezing biter will prevent them from moving
- Watch incinerating biter throw fire puddles around him - but not from too close, or you will be engulfed in the fireball he turns into!
- Virals also turn more vicious - some of them will spit in your direction to keep you away. You may also encounter them carrying gas tank.
- Don't get surprised by the new Goon variant - their scream will alert banshees, waiting in the dark corners to attack you.
New Weapons - Polearms
Diversify your battlefield tactics with the arrival of Polearms! This new weapon type offers extended reach, allowing for strategic engagements and versatile playstyles. Pick them up from the cold dead hands of enemies that carried them before, or visit weapon vendors.
Don't forget to visit Shen Xiu (Chapter 2 Agent) and Pilgrim Outpost! And of course, the new weapon type comes with its unique finisher.
Nocturnal Weapons
We are introducing a new type of weapon specifically designed for better effectiveness during night fights. Nocturnal Weapons come only in higher rarities - from unique to exotics, so just because of that they’re already quite formidable. But what sets these weapons apart are their special affixes (triggered during the night) and cool, fluorescent appearances. Some of these weapons are designed to focus on handling specific types of infected, so choose wisely which one you will bring into the night. However, keep in mind that, as powerful as they are, they also drain your immunity faster, so using them is a classic risk-and-reward mechanic. Participate in Night Encounters, and fight Volatiles, Backpack Biters, and several others to obtain them. Make sure to visit Harper and Pilgrim Outpost. Explore the night and discover your first Nocturnal Weapon.
New Finishers
Your enthusiasm for new features doesn't go unnoticed; we've heard you clearly.
Get ready for a fistfight and check 2 new hands finishers, waiting to be mastered in the midst of battle.
In addition, you can now get a chance to perform a finisher after successfully performing Perfect Dodge, Perfect Parry, X-Ray attack, and even when you release yourself from the Biter grab.

Just get a mod for it you nerds, even if y’all are on console I heard Techland is working on some community mods system so y’all will probably eventually have mods on console too. Still a snow toggle would be nice

Y’all really care about this game and it shows with every update! I’ve been grinding this update for the last couple of hours and it’s one of my favorite events so far!
Going for exotic rarity(red) skoll from airdrops? Im in lust with mine... bloodlust! The thing hits like 7 pk bolts (during the day anyways) never fully understood how thrown weapon damage works, but throwing a gray or green weapon is compatabke to a few hits with a legendary or a hit with the throwing spear.
Because skoll returns to the thrower, and takes no ammo, and can be used as a 2 handed slash weapon, its a very powerful abd very versatile weapon
@@kevinsears7300 I ended up getting the exotic version of it and it’s pretty good!! I really like the idea of throwing it and it comes back! And yeah I know what you mean I agree! It’s a cool addition and I hope they add more weapons in the future! I know they’re adding guns but I wanna see more knives!
Please techland, leave an option to be able to put snow whenever we want, even outside the event!

P.S. Please consider making seasons a common thing in Villedor. Winter, summer etc. it'd make the game so much more authentic and cool

@@ivan5604 Throwing stars are with survivor craftmasters, throwing 3 knives at a time, and explosive knives will kill YOU very large blast radius, its .ore of a stickygrenade. AND tthere are snowballs from Baka
And THEN theres the weapon
skoll is a throwing ax... that returns when thrown... you can get the artifact bluepront from baka the xmas zombie and upgrade to legendary, or collect the weapon itself from airdrops... airdrops have a chance to drop new exotic rariry weapons, including an exotic skoll
Exotics have increased durability, damage, and a 5th stat
Instead of mod slots, skoll returns like gungnir, garm, skoll and mjolnir of norse myths(and ullrs arrows) so tgrow it lots... it also has a chance yo inflict deep freeze, which applies s full charge of freeze, even on status resistant foes like chargers or alpha volatiles.
Skoll benefits from both ronin and joker legendary skills when thrown... when not thrown, its a long ax.
Lastly skoll glows in the dark... lots of people are crazy for that sort of thing.
You guys should definitely create an option to keep the winter season, the game looks amazing with the snow.
Next years winter event should be a krampus outfit!

yes. Baka has a blueprint, but you can get an EXOTIC (red rarity) version from airdrops... theyre rare though. mine has 621 damage12% critical chance // 22%-Damage to infected //21%-Damage during the day //10% damage to frozen targets and 25% thrown damage so a total of 5 stats!!!

you do know there are other returning weapons predating God of War: Skoll, Gungnir, Mjolnir, and either Skofnung, Gram or Dainsleif... I forget which one.... Ull has a quiver with 5 arrows that teleport back to the quiver, leaving a hole in the body so the target bleeds without the arrow plugging the hole. Hes the only archer among the Einherjar, and one of the guardians of the Aesir (alot of wikis have it wrong, he's the son of Sif and a Dane... so demigod more or less, Siv being a giantess... hes thors stepson... never made god of anything though

God this game would do wonders with a season system, not just events but normal games, like orange and red trees in fall, snow/sleet and cold weather in winter, hot and moist weather in summer, and cool times in spring.
Have each season have special perks, new infected types, different lootables (more bees/bugs in spring and summer, more heat/fire related things in winter) a little more beauty to this already beautiful game…
Also, thought you could hide those new enemy types and finishers from me ey? WELL YOU CANT!!! BAHAHAHAHA
I wish other characters could have been added too, like Christmas costumes maybe.. So we need to show them a little bit..

There's a group called Renaissance dedicated to recreating the 2018 Elysium map, and they require additional features in the beta version of your developer tools to complete their project. They've been putting in a lot of effort for the community, and truthfully, the community could really benefit from this addition.

Good evening, Techland, in general, I saw the new update, and I want to say thank you, you did a great job. What about the new update with firearms, in short, if you do it (and you will), please justify it with a plot! For example, after completing a game or a mission with a tower, depending on the choice, Matt or Frank will contact the player and say: “I have information about a certain abandoned military warehouse that should have firearms, one of the former military men who now has the map is a peacekeeper. Find him and find out about this warehouse." after that we go to the house of this peacekeeper, and the renegades have already been there and taken the map with the mark of this bunker, and then figure it out yourself.

How does this not get ongoing game, but Cyberpunk gets it, just because it released a full fledged dlc.
I have 400 hours on the ps4 version of the game I love it so much but I NEED to have cross gen save because it takes way too long to boot up the ps4 version on my ps5

Hold R2, and press R3 to throw... it returns and you can get an EXOTIC (red rarity) ax from the airdrops as a rare drop... can also find other weapons of the new exotic rarity!

it returns when thrown, it can drop as a new Exotic rarity from airdrops or be crafted as legendary, and benefits from both Ronin and Prankster legendary skills when thrown

Ok very good update and trailer,but whyyyy is there a airplane sending airdrop,I mean I understand it's a event but still interesting hahah
The downside of this is that the crossbows are very lagging in firing rate. Including Hakon’s Crossbow! And the regular bows and arrows are harder to use for headshots!
Worked just fine for me... not that I use them anymore. With Skoll, I dont need one... skoll is one of the 5 returning weapons from norse myths (Garm, Mjolnir, Gungnir, and Ullrs arrows) and just like the myth, you throw skoll and it comes back. My EXOTIC(RED)RARITY Skoll hits with the force of 7 pk bolts, and costs no ammo... can be used as a 2 handed slash (long ax, so youll light swing with one hand, charge attack with 2, 2 handed perks apply yo both tho)
Skoll additionly has a chance to inflict deep freeze at around once ever 7 throws, with a knockback/flinch effect on impact
By far the greatest weapon yet. Throwing weapons has always been OP, but running and pivking em up is no fun... now, it comes flying back, and you can throw a punch or 2 while its sailing through the air

on PS5 hold R2 to charge attack, but press R3 instead of releasing to throw the ax... while the ax is in the air, you can punch and kick.

This sucks man I play on a cloud gaming server I was hyped for this event and all my progress in the game is lost so I can't play this event I have to start all over I was at legend level 40 and had some dope weapons but dying light 2 was amazing and I hope all of you guys who play it have a great time Im not going to start over because its too much but I still will always love this game.
