yes of course it will. all X5's from 2001 to 2006 are E53's. and this X5 in the video is an E53 so yes, it will work in yours :) enjoy

I liked you video.... but I have a 2003 X5 that did not come with a factory sub-woofer. It has the regular Business CD setup, no blue tooth. I want to install a Sony Explode mono amp that i had in another car and it has 2- 4 ohm speakers in a box. I had it running at 2 ohms with the speakers in parallel. Where do I get my inputs from the car for the Sony amp? I don't think the harness for the subs is in place. Do I have to wire it from the rear door speakers? The amp does have stereo high level inputs. Also you said the positive and negative does not matter on the inputs from the installed car speakers??? Could you not short a positive to the negative inside the amp. In other words aren't the negatives inside the amp on a buss together? It's a 1000 W Class D amp Sony model XM3001SXD it also says MOSFET on it, Manual says it will run at 1 ohm even. I've looked at the car amp inside the cargo area and there are 3 plugs in front of it toward the driver, the empty black one in the very front has 3 terminals , is that for the sub cable? 1 negetive and two positives? Plus it has the big bunch of wires that go into the factory amp for the radio. I would like to avoid running wires from the speakers in the doors. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Was that a custom enclosure you made or did you buy it like that? I went to an audio shop and they told me it could cost up to 5000 dollars to make an enclosure to put the sub in there so they said I am better off just putting it in the trunk...
