The smartest driver here is the Mercedes ML, he reversed it. No water getting in to the air intake and the engine bay is probably water free. Hats off to you fella 👏👍
But what about the water enterring the exhaust system ? Is it ok or not ?
The ML would make it either way. Wasn't that deep
@@didiera.49 Enough airflow out the exhaust, water probably wouldn't enter or get very far if it did
@@reuben-rt ok, thanks
@@didiera.49 my thoughts exactly 😊
I can't help but feel that all the modded landrovers live for this little river crossing and that's all.
Everywhere else is shut.
I used to do off roading with a Fourtrak, with snorkel, and yes I can say when you’re kitted out it’s bloody good fun haha
Complete with one life live it sticker... Whilst being very friendly with the local AA patrol team.?..
Of course, why do you think we love them!
In the UK? There is nothing else haha. It's all bought and developed land. I mean, unless you know someone with land ofcourse.
Loved that Corsa bobbing about with the ducks 🦆 😂
That actually belongs to the ducks. They park there and watch all the other ducking idiots
Why has someone not done the decent & honourable thing & removed it from the water? Others get removed straight away Why not this one ? This is a dangerous hazard that is not only causing an obstruction it could a release of toxic substances into the river causing a major pollution incident endangering wildlife which is acriminal offence The owner is guilty of a serious criminal offence of contamination of a watercourse as the longer it is left the risk of fuel leakage into the water is increased The owner is a bloody idiot in failing in his statutory duty to REMOVE the vehicle from the water which is a legal requirement.
@@ANDREWLEONARDSMITH lol get a job
I almost expected it to tilt its arse straight up in the air for a few seconds and then return to level, the way ducks do when they find food underwater.
The ducks of “corsa “luv their new floating island.
"opel" ease give it a rest
Those ducks are like the cherry on top of the cake! They just make the experience even more beautiful!
Floating corsa with ducklings around it lmao. 🤣
I love the ducks too; so nonchalant to everything that is going on around them!
Ducks: "So, got much planned for today?"
Corsa: "Not really, I thought I'd just hang out with you guys if you don't mind, it's nice here"
Person in the ML is the genius reverse...... less water over the front intake
Think he lives pretty close as he’s in a lot of these videos going backwards through it!
Wouldnt water get into the exhaust though?
Thought the same 😅
@@goonzjav Not much or none at all if exhaust gases are being pushed out
No, the exhaust gases create enough pressure to stop water from getting in.
2:16 went in a Citroen came out a Peugeot
Nah man it's the pegitroen 10c71
Lol
It got baptized and reborn
LMAO or even better came out a Toyota Aygo LOL
Oh yeah 😂
There are 3 types of drivers:
0:30 The careful guy.
0:56 The smart guy.
2:07 The complete moron who will eventually destroy his car.
2:07 probably a company car :)
@@davidblower9153 Don't be gente, it's a rental!
That would explain it. I am not really sure tho, there are some people today who treat their own cars badly, and then they blame BMW for building "unreliable cars" .
In that speed the water didn’t touch the engine but transmission hurt lol
@@enviro_400_life water can be as hard as concrete when you hit it fast. I have seen slower cars loosing their number plate because of the water pressure.
Entering the puddle at such a high speed may definetly crack your bumper, your underbody protection and maybe even the fog lamps...
Sure, it is not as expensive damage as a hydrolocked engine, but I still don't want to ruin my bumper and some electronics.
@@derwolf200 If the beamer didn't float/skim they could have deployed the airbags. Definitely some damage underneath/behind the bumper on that one. Take note of the reg and if for sale don't buy it, assuming they won't drown it first, then they'll be selling it for salvage or some category write-off, or rather their insurance company will.
I've just discovered these videos from cars in Rufford Ford and I find it incredibly satisfying to watch - and I am not sure exactly why
Been here a few weeks and I’m still wondering why I like these videos so much ! Makes me want to have a go
Everyone’s waiting for fail be honest guys 😅😅😅
@@danielsummers5438 I thought the same, just need to find a decent 4x4 and then splashy splashy
@@chrisl4456 be warned though, nothing is invulnerable, just when it stops you are far further or deeper in!!.😀
@@CrusaderSports250 I shall make sure I wear my wellies 😁
The new Defender at 5:30 has water coming out the air ducts in front of the front wheel. I just had to watch it 3 times in a row cause it was satisfying to see 😂😂
Landrover is smart
yeah didn't ford do that with the ranger too? Great idea for vehicles w/out snorkels
@@rufs6468 It's for aerodynamics. From an article "the vents on top of wheel arches serve to relieve low pressure above the arch and therefore reduce lift."
2:09 classic BM driver, nearly tipped it
Lol
the water level was much lower later on in video when BM went through
Front end came off the floor
Car never lifted but thanks
Good way to destroy sensors, wiring loom force water into places it shouldn't be etc etc
That first Disco needs a sticker "I brake for ducks"
Like most of that type, sees wildlife and tries to kill it
I like that driver- he's a good sort.
loved that old school toyota
wonder how much one of them would be
@@Luckyjo21 not cheap i bet
That toyota laughed at the puddle
@@adamrobertsgb1 best 4x4 out of all of em
@@Luckyjo21 theres one on ebay 15k 94 model
2:19 That car has an identity crisis, can't decide if it wants to be a Citroen or a Peugot!
I’ve seen a couple people do this to their Peugeot or Citroen or whatever it is lol
The water level is definitely lower to let that little thing get through!
Wow 😍 a Piece of Cake for that Peugeot 😁 at 2:19
In reality it’s a Toyota Aygo.
It's a PSA group car , same car different names . VAG do the same with golf and audi built on the same platform
That first clip was so satisfying
I like how all the ducks lined up to catch a wave lol
Think the military lorry wins todays prize, hilarious
until the MTWO sees this.
@@2036scott 😂
Shame when a car is left broken down It discourages the others
with a dead body inside
The doors should have been opened to give the ducks somewhere to shelter
Its only vaux corsa.
should be left there as an example
ROFL
I drive a BMW and that guy in the X3 perpetuated the stereotype that we are all dicks
strange think. here in greece the people say it too, all bmw drivers are assholes. i know 2 with bmws and both are stupid fuckin dicks
In Russia, too, they believe that BMW drivers are bad. I drive a BMW x7, and I will say this - it's not true, WE are good drivers
@@sevakstepanyan6407 here in Brazil they drive like they owned the streets
4:21 Here in the U.S BMW owners are seen as dicks too. Its because of guys like this...
@@sevakstepanyan6407 I saw an X7 today it looked very impressive. Keep driving well my friend.
The floating Opel Corsa had me laughing so hard
The corsa in the water is just waiting for a mate
Merc did it the proper way! Backward - the big wave is then on the back while engine intake is protected by the low part of the wave. Kudos Merc Driver!
Love how often you upload, it’s really good to watch.
yeah I really hope these continue, gives me a chuckle most days after work and never gets old
Lol pry sits outside every season and gets tons of footage
Absolute therapeutic.
How some of those cars got through without hydrolocking is mind boggling, especially the citroen c1!
And the transporter transit at the end is astonishing
@@danquaid7103 the Transit's air intake is at the top of the bonnet
@@mattrussell250 ah he knew what he was doing so
Yeah, the C1 managed really well
0:12 Having TWO discoverys I wouldn't want to run through that too often knowing how the rear chassis is only about 2mm thick......
2:36 perfect speed
2:45 Brilliant
Running through that is probably doing them a favour. It's salt that kills them
I’m beginning to think that those ducklings are there to surf those waves caused by the cars passing through. It sure seems fun!
What's quite funny is an alternate dry route is a mile & a bit around.
oh yeah, but you can tell most of these people hit this one on purpose haha.
Where is this?

@@michlsgamer I'd rather have a flooded boot than a cooling system full of dirt.
Forcing water down your exhaust pipe is not smart at all.
0:29 very nice 60 series cruiser! Rare to see
I paid 400 quid for it 10 years ago,its needed some welding and a axle service but it's been the best vehicle I've ever had. Thank you.
@@robertholton5176 its beautiful, congrats. here in portugal they are worth alot of money
@@robertholton5176 you have an amazing car haha
1:18. They have it figured out. Driving backwards kept the air-intake from going under water.
Why are these videos the highlight of my day😂, appreciate you spending your time filming it bro
1:00 genius. Bravo!!!!
This is so much fun to watch! So simple, yet so entertaining.
That old Toyota 😍, good video again mate
Love those Toyotas
Best vehicle in the clip.
@@tuscan666 you can say that again
Yep, got to love a Land cruiser especially an 80s one.
Man i see toyota everyday
that dawn french sketch with the puddles springs to mind
Another great video... thanks for standing out there so we can watch for the comfort of our sofa! 👍
Great video as always! Those ducks wonder why there machines driving through there lake!
You know you messed up, when your Corsa starts floating.
That first guy was waiting all year to get that lifted Landie out of his garage...
"Wake up babe, new Rufford post"
Reversing is the best option as water is less likely to enter the air intake
Just fill up the exhaust 😂
@Will.J seriously, the exhaust pushes water out rather than pull it in.
@@johnwoolley2241 dude water will only go into the tail pipe if you shut the car off or let it stall out
I was always taught to dry your brakes after fording, because you may find you don't have any further up the road... I didn't notice anyone doing this...Great vids!
If it hasn't changed, it should be in the Highway Code. I'm glad you mentioned that, as it was something on my mind too.
Very true gotta pump em a bit to dry them
What kind of entertainment is this??!! I am so addicted!
lmao the ducks in the beginning are hilarious too
1:12 give this man a medal
1:51 is the definition of British humour
The ducks are just loving it getting splashed around hahaha
Another great video. The poor corsa!
Very clever to reverse, saving hydraulic damage to the engine.
Hydo.
Modded Landy owners be like checking weather forecast praying for rain.
These are really the perfect background videos for work
I like the fact that the format of the video changes when the Defender arrives, making it more like a film/commercial video haha
Why is this so satisfying to watch. WTF?
0:43 if that Land Cruiser had gotten stuck, I would've had to change my entire life
The dog dancing at 6:12 hahaha
That Mercedes driver has done what I've been waiting to see and proved it does make sense.
1:32 I thought he was gonna crash into the fence 😮 wtf musta been close 😂
3:40 local fly tipper spotted
at 4:20 that duck near the BMW was like oh shit, oh shit....ahhhhhhh!!!
Nice one mate, appreciate these
I did this in california on a beautiful spring day with a little sweetie next to me in my near new 77 Fiat Spider .
Top was down, and hit it pretty fast , the car like floated , dog paddled across. No problem until next day the alternator idiot light went on. oN my model the alt. is only about 8 inches off the ground. Not smart, but what a fun experience. The devil made me do it!
Would love to off seen how the Corsa got there! 😂
Drove then stopped dead 😂
Probably drove there
I’d have loved to see the driver wade out of it! Then realise their house keys are inside and have to go back🤣🤣
It's a shame because under normal circumstances this model of Corsa would've done fine zooming through at high speed, the air intake is positioned behind the drivers side wheel well, where it'd be well protected from the wave.. unless it was as deep as it was today haha
The ducks 🦆 🤣🤣🤣 getting pushed up by the waves 🌊 🤣🤣
SUBBED! Why is this so satisfying!?
0:58 I realised what he did.
Intelligent guy
My guy making a living from filming cars drowning 🤣
Thanks for this you-tuber rufford ford is now officially famous! 😀
The deepest I’ve seen it on these clips!
I'm laughing my head off at the fact that a water van got stuck after going through water
2:16 in front Citorën , in back Peugeot??😂😂
Love your videos.
All the off roaders revving through it and then the Defender comes through chill AF idling it's way through. :D
That poor Corsa at the Start! Hope thats not your car Ben 🤣
Another amazing video!

@@mattrussell250 best not risk my 60k on more puddles then :)
Lol the ducks XD
I’ve watched so many videos. So glad to finally see someone reverse through! Eeee
Finally someone with the sense to reverse through it.
Actually went through myself today 28 12.21 was pretty full but nor bad
Love the first guy, annoys the ducks but makes sure not to run them over
Massive props to that little C1 👍
Love the old landcruiser 😍
All that river and the ducks wanna swim on the Ford
The guy in the disco could of pulled the little corsa out, I drive a big jacked up defender n if someone needs help I’ll pull them out, not drive flat out past so I fill there car full of water!
I found that so annoying as well. All those capable 4wd passing a little hatch and not even a hesitation. Poor form I say.
@@richardanderson2831 They probably know that the Corsa is a write-off, and cannot be driven anymore. You can get it out of the water, but it's going to have to be transported on a bed anyhow. Not safe to tow a vehicle with no functioning power steering and brake servo. Oh, and the risks of a submerged battery and electric circuit. Leave it to the professionals. Wise decision i'd say.
@@DolleHengst no matter what is happening,if u can help to save something you do, just the off-roading code of conduct, u see someone who is stuck you help! These clowns in their discos don’t deserve rescuing when they are greenlaning or stuck anywhere, poor form!

Ironic water company van being recovered from the water
01:51 The water van... Drowned. Ha Ha
I love the vans that go in quick then get stranded lol
Oddlly, the guy living right next to this swamp doesn't have a fitted snorkel 🤔
