That particular group is called GFFFV Module (Ground Forest Fire Fighting using Vehicles) from Krakow city. Poland has six such modules, specialized in extinguishing forest fires, which are stationed in the cities of: Kraków, Białystok, Poznań, Olsztyn, Szczecin and Wrocław. Of these six modules, three are at constant disposal and can go on a foreign mission within a few hours of being dispatched. Each module is self-sufficient - in addition to the typical firefighting equipment used for forest fires, firefighters also have logistic facilities: tents, a field kitchen, a communication center and everything needed to set up a temporary firefighter base in the field.

Dear friend . Polish fire brigade units, if they decide to help in any country, travel equipped with equipment adapted to the situation and are completely self-sufficient so as not to accumulate problems at the place of action in the country that asked for help. A similar module was in Sweden and helped extinguish fires in 2018. Another module was recently in Turkey, where Polish rescuers participated in rescuing people after a great earthquake. I believe that whoever, but a Pole, if he has free strength and means, will always come to the aid of neighbors, friends and allies. Poland has a good system of local volunteer fire brigades, a vast one at that too, compared to country's size.
So when there's some stuff happening somewhere else, the state fire brigades (PSP) get delegated in numbers, since the local folk (OSP) can pretty much deal with everyday threats. PSP has around 40.000 firefighters while OSP around 700.000 (of which 230.000 can take part in all rescue/fire missions). I mean heck, OSPs have 20.000 band members alone in their orchestras xD
I'm polish and I did not know that 😳
With OSP it's true. I live just outside Warsaw and we have OSP unit here.
You should mention that Poland has a rather bigger focus on the "professional fire department" (meaning psp). Even small cities with about 16.000 residents have a PSP and the PSP is all in all quite big.
Let's take an example:
Germany has 110 professional fire brigades (PSPs) while Poland has 504.
The polish OSP was underfounded and kind of ignored for years, glad that changed...
Edit:
Worth to mention, the system you've mentioned is not special but kind of used everywhere. The volunteers are constantly hoping in for the professionals in Austria, France, Germany, etc.

And most of fire fighters from former Yugoslav countries are volunteer's. Only a few units from big towns/cities are professional. Majority of them don't get paid anything.
Poland has a huge firefighting force in whole country. We have state firefighters and volunteers. It's very popular to become volunteer, since you get paid(not full salary but it's a nice bonus to your finance) and you have access to equipment. If anything happen in your village or somewhere close, response is always quick.

Poland to Greece by car is roughly 21hr 20min.. from Oklahoma city to new york city is 21hr 59mins..in other words you can nearly travel half way across the us in the time it takes to get from Poland to Greece..
But the US is one continent and Europe is divided into countries.

One continent...
Europe is also one continent. depending what geographer you ask they may even say Afro-Eurasia is one continent but regardless, both Poland and Greece are on said continent..
Yes Europe is different countries.. but that doesn't stop you from driving from Portugal too Norway, from France to Russia. unless you have no passport or driving licence..
Now... we wanted time (T)
If you are driving (like was said the convoy would be) you are going at speed (S).. going from one point to another provides distance (D)..
T=D/S
In the original comment the travel through Europe even allows for border delays by up too 39 mins as the US travel time is that much longer..
"But America is one continent and Europe is divided into many countries"

@@maniek-pp4hg So what? The actual distance differs by about 500 km - on this scale it is a small trifle caused by the diversity of terrain and roads (in terms of the amount of time needed to cover this distance). Also, the US is a country - not a continent - and that doesn't really matter. In the US, you have states (as the name suggests) the size of one average country in Europe (a fairly good comparison here was presented by simonhay28).
Well done Poles
@@sake2k9 Buddy, a very good comparison. Of course, for Americans, because you don't have countries in one continent. Of course, apart from Canada and Mexico, and other small ones. That's why I gave this example because when going to Greece, it depends on which countries and what route you have to travel through 5 countries, 5 languages and 5 cultures. Greetings from Poland (more precisely from Bielsko-Biała where we have companies Wawrzaszek and Szczęśniak).
7:01 the truck looks like a Renault Midlum only because it has a winch on the front and you can't see the brand badge . In Poland after 1992, where there was a huge forest fire, a special fire department was established to extinguish forests (30% of Poland is forests) . Such a convoy of this forest firefighting unit consists of 40 sets . Here you have the entire Polish set shown, which a few years ago helped put out the forests in Sweden czcams.com/video/LTM3UvwjSi8/video.html
@@Wishalloy Sure it is. Just when I saw this truck, I immediately associated it with the French brand . Just in my country in Poland, volunteer firefighters use Iveco and Mercedes and a small Ford SUV. All vehicles are 4x4 because the terrain is mountainous and surrounded by forests, including two national parks . This is what the area looks like from above czcams.com/video/OHAPrwQ7Pts/video.html
Looks like Renault K440
@@romkyy3542 for me the model is not important I know that this look is Renault .
That's Renault Kerax

Honestly, compared to the previous year, this summer was pretty chill in Poland. I mean, there were still pretty heavy days, but it's mostly rainy and cloudy, with constant 19-25 degrees. It was still rather warm with few damn hot days, but year ago it was waaay more terrible, with practically one big ass drought.
They were driving in a convoy all the way to Greece... Over 3100km, or 1900 miles ... So, as you see, it is a pretty descent distance... And all of this just to help...
This convoy was created in alert mode from various units with several cars each. This is why there are so many different marks and models of fire trucks.
The whole team was ready to be complitly self-sufficient ,independent with food ,tents, portable toilets.
@IWrocker If you are interested in Tatras, check out this beast (literally nicknamed THE BEAST - TATRA 815-7 10x10) which the slovak firefighting guys are using in Rhodes right now... 600 HP, 44 tons and carries 20 m3 of water..I would never thought that there would be a time where I would describe a regular tatra in FF configuration as "small"..but compared to that thing.. it is :D
The truck in 7:04 is a Renault K440/WISS, 362P26 heavy firefighting vehicle (water/ foam), Jednostka Ratowniczo- Gaśnicza PSP no. 2 in Konin, Wielkopolskie
Funny thing is it's actually rather cold in north-western Poland right now. It's 4:22 AM and only about 12C outside right now.
They were in Sweden aswell. There are many videos of people standing in towns and on the overpass to welcome them and when they go home aswell.
In 2021 there was a huge flooding in West Germany/Belgium that destroyed a lot (whole valleys where completly demolished) - At the Nürburgring (Yes the Green Hell) a coordination center was established where all the Firefigters, Army-Equipment, from many countries in west europe was stationed to coordinate the help.
There is also a lot of footage of convoys ariving at the Nürburgring with a lot of different Vehicles.
Examples: czcams.com/video/KShghQmppWI/video.html
Romania also sent a lot of people and trucks as well

Or Slovakia, Italy, France, Germany, Malta etc
@@zeincexxx1285 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Greece_wildfires#International_assistance
@@zeincexxx1285 "Romania sent 130 firefighters, with 25 firefighting vehicles, deployed alongside their Greek counterparts." That's just below Poland which sent 149 firefighters :-)
In the modules sent abroad from Poland for intervention, there are mostly Scania, Man, Renault, Mercedes, Volvo cars ... For example, the car that interested you in 7 minutes. this Chassis: Renault K440 wiss... And if you want to know the car in more detail, you can google the number on the side of the car and you will usually find a description of this vehicle in our services. Type in the mentioned Renault K440. Just enter the number on the side of the car, i.e. 362P26 and see the results. Good luck.
Cool video. Here in Finland we have a lot of Scania firetrucks. I couldn't find any statistics, but at least where I have lived it seems most have been Scanias. At least here in Southern Finland July has been colder than average and very rainy. Where I live around 20 degrees C most days, so quite enjoyable.
I feel like they going to Greece every year for few years. It's becoming tradition at this point
We are always proud of our Firefighters. I think, in Poland they are most respected uniformed units.
When it comes to those joint support missions in Europe Poland is indeed a force to consider. If those missions roll out, they must be about the first to go.
That smaller Volkswagen vehicle you wondered about seems to be a small size truck based on a Volkswagen Crafter. It is basically the same vehicle as the Mercedes Sprinter and comparable to the Ford Transit. You find a lot of those vehicles used for example by construction companies with either dump beds, a box or those tarp like boxes based on those.
By the way the real, big trucks being part of the Volkswagen Group are the MAN and Scania. They are actually part of the Traton holding, which is owned by the Volkswagen Group. If you sometimes see Vans or pickup like vehicles from MAN or Scania, those are actually the same or based on the Crafter, the smaller T6 (the todays version of the VW Bulli) or the Amarok (which I think is the same as some Toyota)
Those are vehicles from Ground Forest Fire Fighting using Vehicles modules. It is a module for extinguishing forest fires from the ground using vehicles. It is under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism and Poland have six modules in this system.
Like in all polish fire fighting units - from side number you can read from witch part of a country every piece of equipment is and also what type of equipment it is. Here, you have units mostly from voivodeships with main cities Kraków i Poznań (letters K and P in the middle of the number). Before letters there are codes for assignment level. And after the letter there is sign for the type of the unit. So first car is toyota with side number 120A91 so it is contry level truck from main command and it is - operational, rescue and reconnaissance car. First one with trailer is 601D89 so quartermaster truck from lower silesia region and so on.
Interesting is to see so much of Quartermaster Units (Kwatermistrzowski) Seems those guys not only go to help but they go with own supply. You never see those units on daily basis.
KFC in Poland is completely different than Kfc in the USA when it comes to the quality of products. It's not a McDonald's that tastes the same everywhere in Poland, but if you find a restaurant where employees prepare KFC according to the recipe, it's really delicious.😊
The fire-fighting vehicle whose brand you wanted to know is the Heavy Rescue and Fire Fighting Vehicle WISS of the Polish company "Wawrzaszek ISS" specializing in the construction of special-purpose vehicles based on the Renault Kerax chassis.
By the way - you didn't miss it - there was no Tatra🫡
Check out a few videos from Sweden: czcams.com/video/YCq6FaoxYOs/video.html or czcams.com/video/v23QzzSaz1Y/video.html or just type in "polish firefighters sweden". Poland is the first go to country if you need help. After Poland sent almost 50 units of firefighters, Germany sent some to and it became european thing, more then it was previous. It wasn't just some planes and symbolic cooperation. That convoy was massive and it was a breaking news in swedish TV for 2 weeks. Hundrends of Swedes came out to do welcome our firefighters. Then it was Greece, France, Czech Republic, Turkey and now Greece again when the major support was provided. Here Turkish minority greet polish team after returning from Turkey after earthquake.
You can hear many different sirens from one vehicle during one response because in Poland driver changes modulation regularly and uses horns or an 'Eeee Eeee' sound in susceptible places it is done purposefully to attract attention of surrounding drivers and pedestrians and make them make way. Also you can react to firefighters response to road crash with air ambulance landing czcams.com/video/_qC30L9rILA/video.html

From Romania i send to all the firefithers that where there all my love & respect❤. It' s beautiful to see countrys help eachother❤. I know my romanians will be there to suport them every time they need help❤.
This is why i love the nation of Poland, we in sweden needed help in 2018 when about 61800 acres of forest was burning and Poland sent 44 vehicles and 139 firefighters, France sent 2 heavy water bombers and so did italy norway sent some 10 water bombing helicopters, Germany sent 11 vehicles and 55 fire fighters even lithuanian sent a helicopter, during the fires of 2018 swedens airforce droped bombs on the fire it was burning deep in the forest were a old military exercise area were and it was hard to get to and the grounds were toxic from all the old ammo had been used so they tried to bomb it whit precision bombs to see if they could smother the fires and it was a success.
I hope greece can get the fires under controll soon or islands like rhodos will have a hard time to get back on track.
The Polish fire brigade is one of the largest in the world. Perhaps in the US or China they are larger. There is no bigger fire department in Europe.
It is made up of two organizations. Professional fire department. Numbering 5,200 firefighters who are equipped with 5,400 fire engines and special vehicles. For these people, being a firefighter is a profession.
The second organization is the volunteer fire brigade. It has about 260,000 people and about 12,000 fire engines and special vehicles. For comparison, the Polish army currently has about 170,000 soldiers. So there are almost 100 thousand more firefighters. The fire brigade is the best organized, operating service. In the event of an accident, the fire department will arrive first, then the ambulance, and finally the police.
The volunteer fire department is a full-fledged fire department. He saves people not only in fires, but also in road accidents, where cars have to be cut open, or he cuts down trees after a storm.
A special unit of professional fire brigade is sent for operations outside of Poland. She has everything necessary to live and help. When he arrives at the scene, all he needs is a place to camp. Everything else he brings with him. From food supplies to toilets.
This unit runs almost every year. You can check videos on YT. They were in Sweden, France, Belarus, etc...

3.5 to. (7716,179 lbs), 5.0 to. (11023,11 lbs.) and
5.5 To. (12125.42 lbs.). The 5.5 To. version is a dually.

Poland is great !
recently, Polish rescue came to Sweden, France and now to Greece Poland and Poles are in their blood to help in need and we are happy if we can help someone the cars you asked about for the new Renault
This VW was the Crafter successor to the VW LT. The colors of the Polish Fire Service are Red with white additions, and silver is an additional color. In 7:10min it's Renault. If you want to see more of the equipment of the Polish Fire Service, look for how they help put out fires in Sweden. You will have a lot of equipment there.
Also Romania helped to
We remember from previous years, best firefighters in the world!A BIG "'thank you" from Greece!
