0:00 Intro
0:05 The Mustang was towed to another shop to get the repairs done after the customer drove into the electrical pole.
0:19 As mentioned the customer hit the same pothole in a week and caused damage on the passenger side that they just had fixed. (Insurance covered it again).
0:29 Some shops specialize in wheel repairs, however, I'm not sure if they can if it's split in two like that. Would just recommend a new wheel as that's the safest option.
0:35 No extra info.
0:45 Ford Transit. We've seen this in a previous video, and it's actually pretty common to see this happen (from talking to other technicians that worked at Ford) That's why Ford now puts stickers in that door pocket which I think might only be useful to put business cards or your wallet.
0:50 2011 Toyota RAV4. That's why it's important to always put your lights on at night, so you can see and others see you as well.
1:00 The technician removed the hitch and it fixed the issue.
1:11 The truck does not have backup sensors.
1:18 Broken license plate frame vibrating causing the sound that the customer hears when the A/C is on. The technician also checked the A/C system to make sure it was charged/full.
1:26 Not sure who actually installed the brakes (the customer or actually a mobile mechanic), but unfortunately for the customer, they now need new brake pads and brake rotors.
1:38 New Corvette C2X4? The autobody technician found this when he removed the quarter panel.
1:44 This would have been easy to find if the customer would have looked. Easy diagnosis for the technician at least.
1:55 The technician found a bag of pancakes underneath the rear seat when the car came in to get a new fuel pump installed.
2:01 "Can't make this stuff up. The customer said the vehicle ran like garbage. Wonder if they have been looking for their vacuum attachment. It was like this when I pulled the intake pipe off lol"
2:08 From the looks of the damage, the customer must have driven over a boulder or rock. What do you think?
2:26 Great diagnosis by the technician, and fortunately an easy fix!
2:44 Nut for the outer tie rod end was loose. Good catch by the shop/technician who noticed it instantly.
2:54 The solar panel was installed underneath the rack that is full of bags/luggage. Not the best spot for the solar panel.
3:00 "1963. First time for this truck to be running on a road since the early 90s".

The solar panels made me laugh out loud. A few years back at Burning Man, a clueless neighbor complained they weren't getting any power from their Horror Fright panels. I offered to take a look. They had set the panels up *under* their shade structure, meaning no direct sunlight for most of the day. The Mustang at 0:06 - that's the difference between FWD and RWD. I bought a Jag S-Type with a 4.2 engine a month ago as a 'play car'. My 22 yo - of course - wanted a shot so I explained the difference between understeer and oversteer - of which he was sceptical. So we went to a local industrial park and I told him to gun it, which he did. The arse kicked out - as it would - and we did a complete 360. Safely, of course.
He won't be hitting any electrical poles, now.
An engineer once explained to me the difference between understeer and oversteer: "Understeer is where you go through the hedge forwards, understeer is where you go through the hedge backwards".
You must be a cool dad!
@@BoredGeese Nah. Just better to make his mistakes in a safe environment! We live near to London and the roads are busy.
Browsing /r/idiotsincars, there are so many people crashing RWD cars by flooring it and turning. A lot of them are Mustangs, and it's obvious that it's the first time they've driven anything RWD with decent acceleration. Sometimes it's a more expensive car, and you either wonder who let them rent/borrow it, or how they got rich suddenly to buy an expensive car they don't know how to use.
@@davidjones332 "Understeer is when you could see the tree you crashed into, oversteer is, when you only heard it" (Walter Röhrl, German Rally Driver)
I had a clunk from my rear end that would occur over some bumps. This went on for a year. I finally wrapped up my lug wrench and jack in a towel. Fixed it.
No one is surprised a Mustang driver lost control. Everyone is shocked there wasn't a crowd that was in danger though. The truck that backed into the dumpster makes me shake my head. People don't know how to use mirrors any more. And lastly, that C10 at the end was a thing of beauty.
@@1001digital and that's why people run over their own kids in driveways, just because you've performed a certain task many times. doesn't mean you shouldn't be attentive when operating a 1.5ton machine

@@1001digital There is a difference here. You admitted you just weren't paying attention. The truck owner blamed the back up sensors not working, meaning, they weren't even using their mirrors.
I don't have a backup camera, or backup sensors in my car, and I've never backed into anything, because I pay attention and use my mirrors. Even if I am moving my mom's car which has backup cameras and sensors, I still use my mirrors.
Backup cameras and sensors haven't made things any safer, if anything its made things more dangerous because people think the gadgets are always going to save them so they pay even less attention.
It's not the Mustang. It's people who just can't drive.

Had a customer at my shop who didn't want to wait for a service and decided to leave. He later returned on a tow truck and tried to blame us because if we would've done the service he wouldn't have got in an accident. We never denied a service, just told him it would take while to get it done as he had no appointment scheduled and would've had to wait.
That sounds like one of those "Don't you know who I am?" people.
In the age we live in, putting your own faults on someone else and blaming them is a treasured virtue.
@BuriedFlame Honestly, I fear that one's been a built-in fault in humans since the hit-things-with-rocks era! 🙈 Definitely not limited to "these days"...
Personal responsibility is utterly foreign to some people.
Nice work finding that glue “dam” that blocked the AC! Never seen that one before. Love a mechanic that works logically and fixes problems like that!
And the diag on the broken license plate frame impressed me.
Confession time,
I also freaked out recently when suddenly my dashboard lights "didn't work" anymore in my old ass car.
I forgot to turn on the head lights after leaving the mechanic.🙈
But at least I fixed it myself.
I've had customers call, angry that their headlights don't work after an oil change. We vacuum the cars during service, so we turn off the lights since we're in and out of the cars.
The dumbest thing I ever did was make the dash lights come on when the car is started. Everyday you see a couple cars driving around with no lights on. They made it worse by putting daytime running lights. Now the 3 candlepower daytime running lights are on, so they think their headlights are on. The government has now mandated stupid things like warnings to check the rear seat, yet don't mandate automatic headlights, a system that has been around for forty years. I'm guessing probably 80% of the vehicles today have it standard, but there are still those people that buy cheap cars that don't.
@@garyszewc3339 in germany you can see those every now and then, where the daylight lights are so bright they don't notice, thinking nothign is wrong. nobody seems to recongize the absence of a defined headlight illuminated area anymore, or remember that in many cars you have to switch on driving light separately. those cars usually have automatic headlights OR daylight driving lights.

My solar panels on my house don't work either. I was checking them last night after the hail storm around 10:30pm to see if they were alright and they weren't, no power was being generated. Later we had a power outage which must have reset them because they seemed to be working better this morning.
Well at least they weren't covered with your luggage 🤪
like the guy who complained about his Bmw when he selected D for daytime the car drove fine, but N for nightime didnt work at all
Mine quit generating power around sunset every evening.
That solar panel... wow. It seems the customer doesn't understand the connection between sunlight and solar power.
It is hard to understand, particularly from an owner kitted up for camping.
I really enjoyed the green Chevrolet truck at the end 👍👍
People driving without turning on their lights has become a real problem. Issue is that some modern cars have daytime running lights (making the driver think they have lights) plus LED displays on the dashboard lit for daytime. The drivers say "hey I have lights on the dash and lights in front, so I must have my lights on!" But nope -- the tail lights aren't on. The government needs to regulate this problem and require automatic lights.
If people would just pull their head out of their a$$ they would be able to see other viechels even without lights on
The govt can’t regulate stupid. Stupid is forever.
No, the government needs to stop regulating our lives. People need to be held accountable for their ignorance.
Coddling doesn't benefit society.
@@Jeff.78 You cant fix stupid you can only make it painful and expensive.
@@Jeff.78overall they need to quit mandating things. It has a 2023 all cars have a warning to check the back seat when you turn off the ignition. In the case of the automatic headlights do I think that does need to be mandated, since we have mandated instrument panels to light up with the ignition.
These would be so much more satisfying if they showed the owner being told what the problem was.

The customer stated that the lights on his AC dial was out, that means that he was always driving with his headlights off because the light is activated when the headlights are. So you signed a 50,000 dollar contract and loan with out reading the contract, why?
Anyone reading this and thinking about solar here are suggestions from someone who has gone over 2,000 solar contracts and audited solar companies. One if possible get the last two years of electricity usage.
See if there was an increase from one year to the next in kWh .. if there was plan on your bills possibly going up from increased usage. When getting a solar proposal double check if the estimates and off set is correct , if they program a few months the proposal software will estimate your usage , but depending on your area and home it might not be correct.
Double check with your tax person about your eligibility of the solar tax credit , depending on your tax liability you might not get what's estimated.. remember the sales rep is not a tax professional and doesn't know what other tax deductions you claim already. Remember read the damn contract... Most loans are for 20-25 years.. you will have it for a long time.
Double check with your utility company about their solar program before you sign. Lastly remember to use your monitoring software for your production once you get installed and permission to operate.. most solar companies won't monitor it for you.
One thing else remember your production will be lower in the winter vs summer... Days are shorter so less sun to provide power , so if your heating is electrical then your bills will be higher in the winter

I worked as diesel mechanic for 30 years and recently retired. There are not many folks dumber than the modern truck driver. I saw the same kind of hilarious shit but we're talking about a vehicle that a dumbass lives in, so much more stuff to fuck up. I had a guy come in for a new trucks first service and we found he had no air filter. Asked about this he said he was in a dust storm in Oklahoma and it got plugged up so he took it out. Now this service was occurring in Utah. It had Detroit Series 60 engine, replacement cost is in excess of $25,000. We noted the conversation on the service paper work and installed new filter. He of course was not the owner. We notified the owner and the local Detroit dealer to do what they will with the information.

I was told this a while back when cars still had a manual choke, customer bought a new car and found it always started 1st time but after several miles it would just cut out and wouldn't re-start until the engine had cooled, it went back to the dealership a few times but they could find nothing wrong, so the dealership offered to go to the customer in the morning when the engine was cold so they could sit in the passenger seat to experience first hand the car cutting out whilst she started the car and drove off as she did every morning.
The first thing the mechanic noticed is she would pull out the choke and then hang her handbag on it 🤔 Apparently she said something like "that little pull out hook is so handy for hanging her bag on ! Oh dear 🤨 Funny though 😂

New subscriber here ! Don't know how I found ur site , but am so glad I did ! I've never laughed so hard in my entire life ! I'm a 60 y/o woman who has worked in the car industry for 30 years and it still never fails to amaze me how wacked some people are! Keep up the great work? ❤
Dang man, that factory glue was crazy. So unlucky for that owner.
1:49 I will never understand why someone would go to a mechanic because their car smells like rotten beef...
I'd be looking for the source of the smell. Takes 10 minutes to look and see you left a thing of beef sitting in the car, probably fell out of one of their bags.
@@VintageCars999 some people are just another breed of helpless
We all know what happened to that highlander, someone went full dukes of hazard on it
Oh man, that '63. So lovely sound and look. I wish I had 60's pickup.
Entertaining as always...
Thanks, Michael!
0:45 What is that pocket for anyway, if something can't be put in there if it sticks out?
Agreed! Why is there a phone shaped pocket that only damages phone when used?
When only the very best will do, WATCH JUST ROLED IN. They are always tops.

I remember my brother-in-law used to have a knack for buying old cars and giving them a detail job and selling them for significantly more than he bought them for. That old Chevy truck at the end reminded me of one of those episodes.
1:19 I was really surprised when I saw the area code on the car.
This is in Central Germany, maybe an hour from the city I grew up in.
Jo, die Nordhessen halt.
@@papapapa6689 die Nordhessen sind überall! :D
Same, I was surprised that there was a German car at all lol
Got a bit of a cam in the pickup. Old school Chevy Thunder.
First time it has ran since the 90's. The person who shared it lives an hour away also, which I thought was cool.
Love this channel, some of the things you see on here blows my mind. Keep up the great work guys!!
I love how you're steady growing.. such a great channel for laughs at all the idiots in the world... thank you!
The one about the tie rod end, what a coincidence, I just found my right rear sway bar link snapped this morning when I was just leaving to go to the store 😮💨 just happened to hear some clonking in the back as I was backing out, and i was like 'the hell was that'
BTW I have a 18 focus st for some context
One of my surgery attendings lost his pager for about a month (yes, this was years ago). He kept calling it hoping someone had found it. The mechanic found it when the wife took her car in because she kept hearing a buzzing from under the passenger seat. WTF doesn't just look under the seat to see what might be buzzing?
the one at 30 sec the lady was talking to me that’s was actually one of the weirdest conversation i had 😂😂😂😂
*I always enjoy the last clip of every video and nothing else.*
Scary part is we have to share the road with these people!
they vote, and reproduce too!
With some of these, you have to wonder how the owners managed to even get a driving license...
Memorize a few answers, drive around a while and don't crash.
You're now a licensed driver 😬
Who says they have licenses?... Is expecting people to have licenses racist yet?
I love this channel. It keep reminding me that stupidity and lack of common knowledge is hilarious.
That square body sounding pretty ole good!
Maybe i say this because i never had a car or truck with backup sensors, but do people really depend on them that much? Like um, look behind you? In over 30 years of driving, i cant even think of one single time i ever backed into something, and never had a vehicle with backup sensors or cameras.
It's supposed to be an aid, not a replacement. I have them but it's not like I just stare forward and hope for the best. I rely on my mirrors first, and then use the sensors to be absolutely sure in situations where it's hard to tell how close I am to a wall, other car, or etc. If they beep when I don't think they should be beeping, I stop and check behind me. That's how they should be used...
There is no driver aid for Common Sense.
Customer states they have a funny smell in their car. I bet if the package would have burst open it wouldn’t have been so funny.
THASA SPOILED MEATA BALL!!!
Ok, I'll see myself out🙃
@@Jeff.78 it all fun and games until the hamburger escapes its prison.
This is one of my favorite CZcams channels.
"Uh, you messed with my brakes!"
Shop: You tried to impress us with a burnout entry onto the road, were you?
"No?"
I wish Chevy still made trucks that look like that '63 at the end.
Same, but I'd settle for '93✌️😎

Thank you for that beautiful palette cleanser.
No way a mobile mechanic installed the pads backwards. Customer is lyin'! XD
Absolutely astounded at the person who through keeping an edge attachment INSIDE a fully open throttlebody was perfectly fine. Damn.
Dear God that solar panel. How do people like that even live to adulthood?
The customer who heard a clunk turning left: Even if i knew nothing about cars i would have looked for a possible cause before embarrassing myself at the mechanics.
And there are so many of them, even in this video🤦🏾♂️
Yeah, the whole "weird smell in vehicle" thing always does my head in... Was it easier to PAY someone to use their eyes than it was to use your own?? 👀
I absolutely loved the "hot pickup tax" at the end! Nice!
I love those old cars at the end. Its my favorite part of your videos.
