Some may say she’s selfish, but I think she’s self aware. I don’t want to see more people become parents who don’t want to be parents.
That's how so many children end up abused or dead.
Say this again in all cap letters. Society need to let people be, if they say they want children, that individual knows themselves better than someone who wants to judge. I have two kids , and want no more, I still get judge for not turning into children making mill.

I have children I always wanted to be a mother. But not every woman wants to be mother. why would anyone think that women who don’t want to have children should? It’s better for the child if he or she isn’t born to parents who don’t want them. Different strokes for different folks.
Because we are human beings. It is in our biological buildup to reproduce. If you do not want to reproduce you are not normal. If you cannot reproduce it is a different story.

I have to disagree with this one. It's 'selfish' when people have kids and don't take care of them. It's 'selfish' to have kids and rely on others (it takes a village and financial assistance forever) to raise them. Not EVERYONE was born to do the same. I am a functioning member of society that contributes on a positive level, but I have never wanted kids. Not everyone is the same and not everyone is awful who doesn't want kids. 🙄
Anthropomorphising animals is selfish too, though. It forces an animal to be treated as something they are not. Dogs are animals. Not humans. What works for humans generally does not work for dogs.

I don’t get why conservatives care so much about some women not wanting kids. I say this as a woman who DOES want marriage and kids one day. It’s their life. Nobody should have children if they don’t 100% want them and want to provide the best life possible for them. There are other paths a person can take in life besides being a parent. They can travel and help people, they can care for others’ children, they can create things to help people, they can be a nun/religious monk, etc. And everyone should be allowed to follow their own path.

No one is upset about women not wanting kids. Candace has said so herself. What is concerning is the fact people are treating animals as their children. Humans should not be anthropomorphising animals to the extent that many are.

If someone doesn’t want to have kids, then they need not to. Shaming, trying to convince, or through whatever other means is unwise. Those that want to and are able to provide for said children should. Those that can’t/don’t want to, should not. If one wishes to have them later after changing their mind they should, assuming they are not too old.

Im 31.. with no children and yes i have dogs lol When i bought my house a few years ago, i definitely chose the house with the bigger yard for my dogs lol i do not want children at all. Why? This world is so corrupt and its only getting worse.

My brother is 30 and he is looking for a house with a yard because he and his wife have 2 huskies. I don't know if they'll have children, their dogs take all of their time.

The only thing that is happening is that some very smart people have realized that women, particularly in western feminist countries, are not having the amount of babies required to continue having economic and social stability for the next 4 to 5 decades.
In other words the United States will have a similar population crisis in 50 years than Japan will have in 20.
These very smart people understand about the social disaster that awaits Japan and Korea, and they simply want to prevent this from happening to America.
France will be mostly Muslim 50 years from now, Germany in 60 years and Sweden in 40.
Caucasian americans will be a minority in the USA 30 years from now.
This is an existential crisis for the western world, because western women have decided they no longer want to do what women have done since the beginning of human history.
Instead they want to hold a cat or a puppy as they would a human baby to quench their natural, nurturing, maternal instincts.
That's what Candace is try to say, that feminism, the left and this modern childless mentality will destroy our future as not only a country but as a society.

okay Candace I agree with you on many things but I also do not want children. It's hard enough to survive. Kids would make me poor and take me off task. It would mean I'd have to open my life to dating or relationships and really I cannot. Im a black woman and at the peak of my career. All that love and relationship stuff is la la land. I celebrate those who have found joy on it. For me, my money matters in this economy of survival. I've never dated black men and I think that is what this lady is speaking on. I was once where you are and I worked very hard to hide my loneliness and depression.
I didn’t want kids either. I was uncomfortable around them. They cried and whined. Had snotty noses, and seemed annoying. And then…I fell in love and became pregnant. An unexpected pregnancy. I went ahead and had a son. He changed my world, for the better!! I became a better person, daughter, wife, friend etc. Yes, there were stressful times but the joyous moments were far greater. I went on to have another 2 sons and now have 3 beautiful daughter in-laws and 7 grandchildren! So incredibly grateful I didn’t let my fears, immaturity and selfishness rob me of the greatest gift a woman can have ❤

Wanting kids shouldn't be placed on just women. You need men to have children too, just because we have the ability to give birth doesn't mean having is solely on us. If a law were to pass, there would be no shortage of men more than happy to cut ties with their kids to avoid child support, though they laid up with a woman they didn't want to stay committed to with no protection.
Marriage is a gift when done right, along with parenthood. But so is singleness if done responsibly as well.

I just never met my soulmate in Christ, and I am now nearing 50.
I am a good auntie.
I already volunteered 8-9 years at my old home church and burnt out overloaded, still recovering. Helping kids with single moms.
Sadly, I started to grieve been probably unable to marry and have kids once I was in my mid 30s.
Since I was diagnosed with Cyclothymia, a mild version of bipolar.
I used to hope finding a husband, who would be strong in the LORD.
But eventually realized, I didn’t want to hurt my own kids or burden a husband.
My sister was blessed with a good man that helped soften her, and she truly loves her son. They waited too long, but with IVF, they finally got one baby.
I prayed for them, too.
I have emotional wounds from my dad and I know my dad has his own issue due to my paternal grandma. My two younger brothers had one serious girlfriend each, one date more after his one, but both didn’t get married. Sadly, probably both will never marry for various reasons.
My kitty duo are my emotional support. And yes, they’re like family to me. Surrogate kids I never got to have.
I know child bearing is good, etc.
But I don’t mind dying alone, because I have God’s Holy Spirit in Christ and my kitty duo.
And when people try to use the your pet will eat you if you die alone, I would prefer they eat my flesh and live to be rescued. My spirit will depart. My physical body is just a temporary tent.
My eternal body will be revealed when God’s Kingdom is established for eternity after Jesus returns.

I’m a 52 yr old actual woman who has never wanted to have children!
Since I was little. The reasons why have changed throughout my life.
At first I just didn’t like the idea of actually being pregnant. Then it was the thought of giving birth!
After that, as I left school and started travelling, it was very selfish… I didn’t want to give up my life for a little human that I would put before me forever. After that it was that I might resent the child for taking my freedom away… later on it was over population… and as i hit my 40’s the biological clock just never started ticking!
My mother was a narcissist who hated me because my father loved me more than my brother, or her… she was 30 years younger than him.
So, yes, it is selfish of me but I also realise that I didn’t want to perpetuate that abusive cycle.
I would rather not have children in case I hurt them the way she hurt me.

Yes, the fact that we have the capacity to have them, doesn't mean we have to have them. Same with men, they call all become fathers, doesn't mean they Have to. Life is made up of many different things, marriage and parenthood is just one part of it, and I'm sure it is the most important one for the ones that decided to have it, but we can't all achieve the same things in life.

You can't speak for everyone, just because having children is your deepest satisfaction doesn't mean that you are better. My husband and I chose not to have kids because we didn't want to, as simple as that. Nothing selfish about it.

I wanted to have & raise my children, but I lostall 6 of my babies in pregnancies. But I don't fault women who don't want children. It's better those who don't want them don't have them because they would resent the children and might abuse them like so many children have and are being abused and killed daily! To each their own.
Sad to say it's better not to keep trying if you've lost a couple. A huge percentage of babies born with severe disabilities are from mothers who have trouble carrying them. I have a coworker who can't walk and is like 85lbs at age 25 because her mom kept trying when the doctors warned her not to. She's in severe pain every day and struggles to have a normal and happy life. She has several health issues and like 5 teeth. Her poor mom died from cancer when she was 6 and her dad abandoned her because she was too much work. Sometimes gods trying to tell you something is wrong and there's so many kids out there that need parents who want kids.

I was childfree by choice since I was like 12 y/o...I knew in my soul I didn't want children. I am now 45 y/o w/o children and with a loving husband who also didn't want children. We are a complete family with our dog daughter. We have rescued/adopted all our fur children throughout the years and are completely at peace and happy. It can happen, it does happen and it will continue to happen. Candance I love you but remember this is a free country and families choosing not to have children is part of that and should be w/o judgement. I will say you're not AS harsh as Matt Walsh on this, but I think you both have on blinders on this topic, You are both smart and insightful about so many other things...maybe focus on those and leave childfree by choice people alone. We aren't harming or doing anything that affects anyone in anyway.

I'm almost 70. At 24, i had an unexpected pregnancy. I had my son alone, and raised him alone. My douchebag boyfriend wanted no part of us. My son is 45, and I have 2 grandchildren. I never married anyone. If I didnt have my son from that ooops, i probably would never have had children. I'm grateful it happened. I love him and my grandchildren with all my heart. Men are a dime a dozen. I have a legacy.

Some people can't have kids and animals can be a way to help with wanting to care for something. It can be very painful and traumatic having to try year after year and still never be successful in having children and watching everyone around you having kids. Pets can be a way to be therapeutic in that situation
Please consider woman that cannot have children. I was depressed and it broke my heart that I physically couldn't have children. My dog has become my baby. My dog and have gone through Trauma together.

I'm a man. I think I'm a millennial?. I don't want children. I decided years ago that I will never have children. I am aware that that decision excludes me from certain aspects of life. I don't particularly like children. I'm absolutely certain that I would not be a good parent. I am also aware that I cannot get those things or fill that space with a dog or a cat or a llama. I am also perpetually single. I have dated a few times in my life. It was, invariably, abysmally boring. I always found myself wanting to be ANYWHERE else. The modern dating pool is absolute crap. I have not met a woman who was interesting enough to sacrifice or devote my time to. I know somebody will say it. So, yes, I am aware that some or much of this could be attributed to my own flaws. I simply see no incentive to change it.

I am 71 & I really didn't want any children. Why was because I lived in a dysfunctional family growing up & sadly I married someone I didn't really want to have a baby with. Sadly back in the 70's it was hard to have a career & a family. It was made difficult & I knew I couldn't trust my husband to provide. I am glad now after I was in that marriage for 33 years with one daughter that I chose my degree & career. I love my alone life on my farm with my animals. First time I have felt peace in my life. I left & never looked back or regretted leaving. I don't regret that life & glad I had my daughter but so thankful to be out of that marriage

There’s nothing wrong with having and loving your pets. Animals can and do enrich our lives, and every pet deserves a loving owner. Parenting human children is also not for everyone, and not everyone is cut out to be a parent and kudos to those who know this and make the choice not to have them. So in essence, there isn’t anything wrong with having pets instead of kids. Where it does become problematic is when we start anthropomorphizing our animals and giving them human like traits and treating them as humans. I love my dog dearly, but he is just that -a dog. Not a husband, son or brother. Not a replacement to a human counterpart. That’s what I take issue with.
I’ll give a little different perspective. That girl is off the charts BTW! But I even as a little girl had a passion for wildlife and animals. Poor parents, but I brought home so many hurt wildlife 😊 I was a vet assistance and very compassionate. But became a aviation tech as you can’t live on a vet assistant pay. So love and protection for animals came way before men. So I volunteer in wildlife rehab. Anyway I didn’t marry my husband until 32 and decided children would not work for me or him as my husband worked out of state 8 months out of the year. I was not going to be the sole parent. For some reason I never had a maternal desire either..not that I wasn’t a awesome aunt and maternal instinct. Oddly enough even though I was a rape victim…I never hated men and respect and appreciate our differences. Just a different perspective.

Yeah I'd much rather have animals than kids. Not every woman is meant to be a mother. I have 10 nieces and nephews and I can only spend a few hours at a time with 2 of them. The rest just grate on my nerves and that's not good mother material. There's too many kids out there being raised by abusive parents who should have acknowledged they aren't parent material. I also don't want a husband, I am very happy working, spending time with friends, and reading. I was engaged twice and both times realized I'm not happy in a relationship. I think part of the problem is this sexualized culture. So many young women focus on looking sexy and showing their body in order to be desirable . They sleep with men that have not made any commitment to them, then don't understand why they are not cherished and deeply loved. After having two kids, my PCOS has really inhibited having more kids. During this period of infertility, I have adopted two dogs actually. They are in no means the same! I love my dogs yes, but the unconditional and fulfilling nature of watching my sons is far more satisfying. They are becoming amazing young men, and they are the best things I have ever done in this life.
