Why would Taylor Swift buy her own company when they could sell it for a huge profit, and then take back ownership of all her songs simply by re-releasing them with some changes. Basically it was a publicity stunt to resell old music to her fans.
They sold the buyer a lemon. Good thing he managed to offload it before she re- released all her songs, otherwise he'd have nothing to show for it.

I’m a Taylor Swift fan but I fast forward through stuff about her politics. I don’t agree with her stance on a lot and I’d rather focus on the work of an artist and not their personal beliefs. It’s the only way I can remain a fan of a lot of actors and musicians. I don’t believe in canceling because someone else doesn’t fully believe what I do.
But I won’t blindly follow. I was curious about what you had to say. If Scott Swift still owned 3% then, by what little I understand of business, he wouldn’t have had enough power to stop the sale but Taylor would have had a heads up. The only way I could see that she didn’t is if he legally wasn’t allowed to talk about it. And if she was given the opportunity to buy her own catalog then she should have. I can’t really come up with any reason not to so I’m left with the conclusion that something is being left out. Like maybe the sale of the company and the sale of the catalog weren’t offered separately. I don’t know how all that works.
Kanye’s song is just gross. No matter if she was okay with it or not. No matter who he was talking about in the song. But that’s why I can’t stand most rap. Sex, money and drugs with no musical talent whatsoever.
As far as Taylor, I’ve been a fan since her first album. I’m her age as well. Regardless of her personal life or what statements she makes, I enjoy the music and I’m impressed by the empire she’s built. It’s kind of insane even for someone who already had a good start in life.
Apart from that, I can’t really make any judgements for or against her or anyone else in these situations.
I will say this though: I don’t think black women dislike her because of fake feminism. I’m not fond of modern feminism myself.

She was offered to buy her masters, but it came with the conditions of signing another 10 year contract, producing six more albums for big machine, and signing an NDA making it where she can't talk badly about Scooter. This isn't about black women not liking Taylor Swift, this is about Candice's blind unwavering support of Kanye West, even after his blatant anti semitic rants - and frankly, that phone conversation didn't make him look good. Candice doesn't always seem to understand nuance, she took it at face value - that conversation was very manipulative, but it wasn't Taylor, it was Kanye doing the manipulating. Sometimes, it's not about what people are saying, it's about what they're not saying.
It’s a private Christian school. They can do whatever they deem necessary to protect the rest of their staff and families.
I totally get the privacy aspect, but now they're judging the kids by what their parents do. I presume the children got into the school on THEIR own merits - but now they're kicked out because of their parents. Again, I understand why the school did it, but it was the kids who got the short end of the stick. And, yes, I know they have their parents to blame for that.

I'm a black man. I'm around black women and I can't remember any of them even mentioning T.S. I don't really care for her music, but I got to respect who she is and what she has accomplished. However, for me, she is nowhere near as vocally accomplished as Beyonce. Just my opinion.😅

That’s why she’s so big. Her music is clean and cater to anybody and everybody. Growing up in the 2000s my parent preferred me listen to her than hip hop.
That's part of the issue some have with her...she sings stuff that applies to a teenaged girls life when she's actually 34 years old. Similar to the new stuff from madonna as a woman approaching 70 does not belong on stage in fishnets, tays songs and pandering to minors is inappropriate.
Right I actually feel comfortable playing her songs in front of my daughters. Make no mistake Candace dislikes her simply cause she encourages her fans to vote which let’s be honest aren’t voting for the right. And why should they?
I am the mom in the news that was the whistle blower on the Only Fans advertisement in Florida. My 6 children were also expelled effectively immediately, FOR ME EXPOSING THE SCHOOLS NEGLIGENCE in protecting our children. The porn advertisement has been on property for 2 years. Parents have complained over and over. But then just drop it because the admins just dismissed their complaints. School has done nothing. Meanwhile they expelled a 7th grade student immediately for looking her up on school property. My stance was never against the mom…as I can’t control her…it was always against the private Christian institute that I’m paying to abide by THEIR OWN RULES and values and enforce them and they weren’t. Because I was loud and have a social media following, they felt forced to expel the OnlyFans mom because they were catching so much heat. Her vehicle has been banned for a long time. She just refuses to abide by the ban and the school refused to hand out any other consequences. They continued to let her enroll each school year too. I hope this gets to you!

It's a private Christian school. If they asked the students mother to kindly remove her OF sticker, and she decided to keep the sticker over her children's education, then it's her fault.
I feel bad for the children. The best chance they had about learning about G-d and understanding what it takes to get to heaven was to be around real Christians. But on the other hand, those that do not protect their own are worse than unbelievers. The parents at that school have to protect their own children. I, as someone who listens toTaylor Swift, do understand some of these points. I don't really agree w/the attacking that goes on from the fan base w/o her encouraging a more fair/kind approach. I also don't know 100% of the details of the whole Scooter Braun thing, and I don't think any "side" should claim they know the whole story either & use it to bash each other, but yes I believe sitting down and speaking as adults, especially when other people are getting hurt in the process, is the right route. I will say, a lot of her music & approach is kinda "revenge" which is not something I believe in either.
I will say though Candace, that you are incorrect about the Kanye West story and Taylor Swift has clarified this. I thought that was great he called her like that, and I was honestly surprised she was ok with any of those lyrics, BUT the main problem was that he Never mentions that he was going to call her a "Bitch", not once, and therein lies the problem. On a legal level I think it should be a sexual offense to advertise sexually explicit content in a public space like on cars or on houses. If people cant go walking nude, then people shouldnt be advertising sites to access pornographic material. Children could get curious and see the advert and access something theyre too young to access.
In terms of disciplinary action, the school was in the right as it’s a Christian school with likely it’s own guidelines. It is also good to protect children from trying to access such material, which should not be shared in school settings.
On a parental level, I do not think using only fans as a parent is setting a good example for children.
And on a personal level, I don’t think professions that involve strictly sexualizing yourself to be a great way to avoid vanity and respect your self-worth.
