The song is just very neutral, too tame and predictable for Eurovision. I don't think there are any negative comments about the singer, just about the song and the selection.
If Germany ends up in last place in the ESC final again, that's nothing we (the germans) should be ashamed of. The song is really good.

Yeah, it's definitely not gonna be in last place anymore, the juries might save it and it's gonna get some televote love as well. And I don't think that Lord Of The Lost deserved last place last year, it should have been the UK or Spain. And they wouldn't have ended up last, if it wasn't for these unprofessional juries. And no, I'm saying this as neither a German, nor a metalhead.

The Reason why we are cursed with Run Un Ah Äh is because most young Folks didn't even bother watching our NF because the Selection of Songs was incredibly weak to begin with (Viewership among young People decreased by 35% compared to 2023 while the overall Viewership increased by 200.000). Noone can survive 2 Hours of Barbara Schöneberger while keeping his Sanity if the Music isn't good.

The only country I can imagine people hating the entry from is Israel, that act has absolutely zero chance of winning.

This video is really interesting because I think it really shows you as, in effect, a juror. This is an excellently produced and sung song that fits into a classic genre, and you as a professional pick up on and appreciate that. Whereas a lot of the fandom doesn't find it interesting enough compared to its contemporaries, and I think the televote likewise will keep it in the mid ranks for a poor result. Whereas you called it a potential winner, prompting me to think about this.
To answer your posed question at the end, my top three of present are Belgium, Ukraine, and Slovenia. They all really sell themselves to me.

Very underrated song from Germany. The guy's got a good voice. Surely it won't be dead last again? Unfortunately, the fandom HATE it because two of their favourites didn't win the National Final, by the names of Ryk and Bodine Monet!

@@ananasenjoyerRyk's song was even more bland and his voice doesn't sound powerful and interesting, unlike Isaak's voice. I get, when people saying that Always On The Run wasn't interesting enough, but I really don't get people, who hate on him, because they wanted Ryk to win (definitely last place). Firstly, I thought, if you like one song of them, you'd like the other as well, secondly, why are people upset, when a bland and boring song didn't win? Especially if the winning song sounds less boring and its singer got a much better voice. And his song can be saved by a revamp, maybe with live backing vocalists as well. Often, I really don't get the fandom with their chosen fan favorites.
He’s a good singer. It’s very current in the vein of Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, et al. I just don’t know if it’s going to stand out at Eurovision when it sounds like so many radio songs. It worked for Germany with Michael Schulte (Ed Sheeran), but I think this might be going more in the James Newman / Michael Rice direction at the bottom of the pack. Will be interesting to see…

The song and his voice beats directly from heart. I feel his pain and my own concerns and pain at the same time. Im always on the run too
There's an effortlessness to his singing that I love. Big notes without looking like he's forcing them, and the quieter parts are well controlled.

This one is probably in my Top 5 this year! I like Swiss, French and Italy a lot but this is probably my 4 or 5 along with Dons Hollow from Latvia! I really hope this one does really well this year! :)

Isaak is my 4th place followed by 🇱🇺 but I’ve heard there’s already some political stuff going on about the brother of the singer haven been part of the IDF in the past or something, but to be honest, I’m trying to let that slide and just enjoy the music at this point, trying to get politics out of the way.
It is a cracking tune with excellent vocals. Huge outsider in the betting, I can't understand why. This song has to do well.

Love your reactions! But I do have a genuine question :D Do you really think that this and Latvia's songs can be possible winners? Cause I find them quite basic and a lot of people I think would agree with me. Of course everyone has a different opinion but I just don't see them as winners, considering that it's 50/50 (public/jury). Especially Latvia, I think they will struggle to qualify, because in the semi finals only public is voting.

Unfortunately most people (including germans) think that the song is pretty mediocre, especially since a lot of them wanted another artist (Ryk with 'Oh boy') to win the national final.
I'm pretty indifferent to both songs tbh, but I don't think that Germany is going to get out of the bottom five this year.

Definitely scoring higher than tbe overhyped song by Ryk would have. And the juries might save him from last place, although I'm not sure about the televote either. But it's definitely a better song than Sisters, I don't feel hate, Rockstars or their 2017 entry, so I think that he's gonna get more televote points than the aforementioned.

As a huge LOSTIE after last year, saw them 4 time in UK, so impressed. This year I expected to be blown away. Not so much. The song is well constructed, staging good, his vocals super but not grabbing me so much. Will listen more. Right of board for me at this point.

Lots of people don't like this one because it beat many fan faves in the national final and it is of course a very radio friendly song. I do think people are sleeping on it and its potential with the jury vote though.

Alas for me this is derivative blend-O-matic almost AI by numbers in both song and performance. My body is not moved . . . but hey - if we ALL liked the same things the chart would only be Johnny Logan!
Most people say last place! I do think its nice but the staging doesn't really have a relation with the song and I think it is just quite generic and will get lost in the mix.
Most people aren't even on youtube or use social media to keep up to date with ESC stuff.
The staging in the chorus is supposed to look like he's running, you can see a street in the background behind him. And the blue represents sadness and being timid. It could also be seen as a tunnel vision that you loose focus of the good things and those negative voices causing your self doubt are omnipresent.
Anyway, they just announced that the real staging will be totally different.

Germany almost always gets shitty placements even if the songs are good. Blood and glitter was way underrated. Same with Rockstar. People just don't wanna vote germany for some reason lol
A good song is not enough! As a big 5 country you have to send a GREAT song, a banger, like we see it in France or Italy over the years. We always send "good" songs but "good" means, getting 11. - 20. place by televote or jury which means: no points, because only the Top 10 is getting points. Germany has to send a banger, with such nice pop songs we will never get any chance.
