both games are made on the same game engine and apex is starting to get looked at as having better movement than CS by a long shot. kinda crazy what apex did with the source engine
Ok so I know you probably won’t see this but i it’s actually really interesting. The reason why bunny hopping and tape strafing work in apex legends is because apex legends movement is loosely based off of cs movement. So apex legends was built off of the bones of what was supposed to be titanfall 3 and titanfall 2, the game that pretty much most of apex legends is based off of including everything from the guns and universe to controller sensitivity settings, was built off of a heavily modified version of the source engine. So to keep the titanfall 2 feel in apex legends they kept a lot of the source like coding aspects like bunny hopping and strafing and so since counter strike is also built on the source engine the movement is actually not too dissimilar
@@infall_blackmetalso slight misnomer it’s not quite the same engine. The titanfall engine that apex runs off of is indeed source but it’s heavily heavily modified so it’s pretty similar in a lot of the way calculations are done and such but they end up playing somewhat differently due to all the spaghetti code in the titanfall engine that apex uses
@wolf-xf6hf it is still source, just modified on client side so they can do more of what they want.

Horizons passive transfers her momentum speed and removes her fall stun, so he mastered throwing an spin and whip unto his tstrafe for some truly high iq movement god technicality.Taxi is not only skilled but quick witted and funny af.One of my favorite streamers.
He is but his only downfall is his arrogance and inability to say I got this one wrong. Lack accountability. Used to love him but few situations made me think he’s very childish. Still absolutely love watching clips like this tho, his movement is just unmatched for things like this
What’s the purpose of the “spin and whip”? I see players do this a lot. Does it add momentum or something?
@@frankrossi3524 In this particular video yes the whip actually allowed Horizon to do some insane transfer of momentum.Very impressive.I forget what my Discord told me it is called but i researched it using this video clip.Taxi is as skilled as he is funny.

@@frankrossi3524 Ok so i watched another video called "Taxi2g punches hole in desk" by Lej.Very funny video one of my favorites.And what hes doing is sliding into a little lip and whipping himself sideways to get the most bounce up before flying over to do the rez.The lip and flick paired together accomplishes this.

All you do is turn around and jump at the same time, you then kind of ride the ramp and it sends you flying

If you didn't know, landing (into a slide) on the ramps at the gravity cannon will slide you off at max speed ✌🏿

Just a ton of momentum hitting a sloped wall. Sometimes it’ll happen after a pathfinder grapple when you slide real fast into a rock or something.
Horizon on this gravity cannon is the best, this jump is so fun.

Not sure which one you mean but if you jump right as you make contact with the floor using horizon, as long as you have momentum you can jump again. The second jump is done by turning your back to an edge before you hit it

Taxi is super skilled, but Horizon’s movement (in a game where movement is a huge facet) is just too powerful. And I’m sorry but you get great movement for FREE because it’s her passive.
Look I want all legends to be viable, but Horizon (even after the nerfs) is STILL too effective and easy to use.
