You should talk about Sophia Flörsch who is in F3 on the podcast on the weekend F3 supports F1. She is planning on moving to F2 next season and is an Apline academy driver. She is the closest female driver to F1 at the moment.

Also thinking about Tatiana Calderón who was in F2 and F3 and helped shape changes to the F2 car to make it more suitable for a variety of drivers (e.g., women!)

i think what max wanted to say with that comment, is that the female drivers should have a better car to jump from f1 academy to racing series like f3 or f2, marta garcia won last year at te age of 23, and she will competing with boys of age of 17/16 in formual regional, so max wanted to say theres basically so hope for girls in this series to race in a formual 1 team, unless they make the cars faster.

Appreciate you supporting F1 Academy and having an episode about it. Another organization that needs to be approached to support F1 Academy, is the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media/Linkage Inc. She is very purposeful about 'if they see it, they believe it.'

This was a great episode, thank you! I was in Jeddah for the 1st F1 Academy race this year and am so excited that I'll be at Barcelona as well. I don't know if this is the case in other races, but I was pissed that F1 driver appearances in the FanZone at Jeddah were AT THE SAME TIME as the F1 Academy race. NOT doing that is one way F1 could help boost F1 Academy

I do agree that most of the current crop of F1 drivers could certainly do more with respects to getting the F1 academy and females in motorsport greater exposure. It wouldn't need to be much - even 15 minutes to say hi, discuss the car/track etc. As you said, it would help bring down a lot of invisible barriers; more girls would think "This isn't so out of reach after all."
Finally, do your tickets actually give you access to the paddock? I dare you to try to bluff your way into the Ferrari garage. 😂
