  • We installed a Kooks 3in axle back exhaust on my brother’s 2021 Camaro Redline Edition. The stock exhaust had dampeners that would make the car louder, but he decided it wasn’t loud enough. Now his car is rowdy and sounds amazing!!

    I love the sound of that. Sounds more old school than exotic like some of the newer brands.

    Tbh it sounds quieter and more muffled than stock exhaust

      That’s exactly what I thought. I just don’t think kooks is what they are cracked up to be. I live right down the road. I’ve had them do headers on my Corvette and my other Camaro. But when it comes to the exhaust, I just don’t think they are that great. Over priced a Corsa cat back is much better.!!

    I have a 18 2ss that came with the stock axle back system but it had flowmaster tips. Can I change the tips to dual instead of having one on each side ?

    • @bossadamsgarage
      @bossadamsgarage  Před 2 lety

      Sure! You just have to buy the tips and have them welded on. Clamps are okay but for a cleaner look Id have them welded on.

    Im curious once you break it in and adjust to the flow what it would sound like.

      It sounds fantastic. We're going to a car show this upcoming weekend and I'll try to get a short of it.

      I would. For the money, probably the cleanest set up you can do buy yourself. Great sound!

    Does it have any drone?

    • @bossadamsgarage
      @bossadamsgarage  Před 2 lety

      Not much if any because it is an axle back. It would have more if it were something like a cat back exhaust set up.

    do you have a cel since you are not using the valves anymore?

    • @bossadamsgarage
      @bossadamsgarage  Před 2 lety

      We keep all that stuff just in case we need it in the future.

      @@bossadamsgarage what I meant was, doesnt this throw a check engine light now since there is no valves being used?

    • @bossadamsgarage
      @bossadamsgarage  Před 2 lety

      No, what we did was in the video you'll see us mount the valves on the back side of the heat shield so that we could plug them back in to avoid throwing a code. If you don't do that, you will throw a code.

    • @ecoboost04
      @ecoboost04 Před 2 lety +1

      @@bossadamsgarage ah ok, so u can just leave them plugged in and tied out of the way and have no issues!
