If in European or American countries, this car would not cost $100k , it would even be worth only $20k to $30k ! In the video, I want to say that after being overhauled, the car will become a car that has the same value and lifespan as a new car! In some Asian countries, due to very high car import taxes, especially for high-end Land Rover cars, a high-end car in these countries costs 3 to 4 times more than in European countries. ! If I meet a customer who likes classic cars, I can sell it for over $75k
What is the cost of the restoraion?
Not one mechanical maintenance or serious look at all the worn out parts. Mechanically it is still an old car; nice looking but old.
This level of detail restoration is impressive

Spent $5000 to buy and after the cleaning is worth $5100. Absolutely no one thinks this rover is worth 100K... great job cleaning it thought!

It was the white paint that did it for me..
Yeah was thinking the same thing...lol. They did all that work and put a lame set of steel wheels on it. I guess they spent all the budget money on the other new parts. They could have just did a light sand blast on the original wheels; painted or powder coated them black.
@@dozsh12 those are rotiform rims...very good. in fact all my cars in need for speed are on rotiform rims. I also like the styling, but to each his own
If the car is mechanically sound and still has years of life, I would buy it. The older Range were built to last and I love the classic lines on this model.

No, at the most, after cleaning and some repairing it's worth 15K, not 100K. You, with 100K to spend on a weels you got plenty of good stuff in the market, even 60 - 70k you can get a Lexus or a Stelvio, BMW X5 ...

I’ve detailed cars for most of my life over 45 years ! This imo opinion is at a level I would love to go too. You can say your vehicle is literally as clean as new to some that is the point not what it’s worth ! 🤔👍🏻😉
Suggest you guys invest in a laser cleaning machine and dry ice blasting machine. It will make a world of difference in cleaning speed, efficiency and quality.

Firstly this Range Rover is worth $20k at the most. Secondly, I love your videos. I wish we had a service like yours in my country. Finally, why did you buy a Range Rover to fix up? It's a Range Rover, it'll break down 5 minutes after its left you guys. Why not clean something that is way more reliable? Pick a car, any car. Whatever you picked is going to be more reliable than a Range Rover, but you did a fantastic job on this.

He has mentioned $100k because when this car was new the cost was around $100k. And after the detailing work it looks like a new car again.

Looks lovely but unfortunately still not worth much… maybe to the owner if the mechanicals are good they can enjoy for more years to come but a new buyer isn’t going to pay a big premium. Sad but true.
In Japan, it can be purchased for about $10,000. The Land Cruiser is more popular in this generation.

I guess if your labor costs are only a dollar or two an hour this would make economic sense, but in the west the labor for this restoration would cost more than the car will ever be worth.

No need to strip a car just for detailing. Love the black steelies at the end though I hear these days that these are actually alloys. That is what Land Rover is doing for the new Defender.
Good detailing video. But its still an old rover. They depreciate like bananas age. Especially without doing an engine swap etc. At best you'll get 10-15k for it
