Mariah is a legend. Her career/achievements are unmatchable. She truly inspired a whole generation of singers. She is more than just whistle notes. She creates her music. Writes her songs. The fact that she’s written or co-written most of the songs that has ever appeared on her albums is just Incredible. She’s truly one of the best female singers/songwriter of all time. I mean even the Legendary Stevie Wonder. Said “When people talk about the great influential singers, they talk about Aretha, Whitney and Mariah”. I’ll always be grateful for her music 🎶 🦋👏

The Glitter recording sessions were actually the BEST vocal state Mariah has ever had post-prime. She still sounded somewhat tired here but she really shines on songs like Lead The Way & Never Too Far, which were most probably recorded later that year (2000).

I was drawn to this song when it first came out. Something about it; I was just listening to it over and over. It was relatable and I just loved mariahs voice on this song in particular.
I was just flicking through the words when listening to it in music on my iPhone and noticed at the bottom it was written by a lady called Lesley Gore.
My mum died when I was 5 years old, her name was Lesley Gore.
I truly believe this song came to me as a sign from my mum. To say she’s still here and still with me.
