Bought this power supply and cover last week, installed it today and it works great and so far has been super quiet. Perfect instructions in the video, so thank you very much. Also had a question about it and was answered within 2 minutes via chat on your website. Outstanding service, and highly appreciated. Thank you!
Thank you steve! We do use Google, Facebook, and Trustpilot for reviews. We'd really appreciate it if you could leave a review for us. It helps a lot since were so small!
@@TH3DStudio Done and done. Left you a TrustPilot review. :)
Great video/design
Thanks for sharing your experience with All of us 👍😀
Thank you! Cheers!
I'm at a crazy 8 ohms at the measurement points you showed, definitely going to need to do this when I can.
Yeah 8 ohms is WAY too high.
any chance you'd share the file for the PSU cover?
My SV06 has a ground resistance value of 0.45 ohms. Checked at the points shown in the video! So, before we "panic", have it measured first!
Thats pretty good! Ours was MUCH higher than that. Maybe we got a Monday model haha.
good video
Thanks for the visit
I've heard it's a decent printer. If I ever decide to get a companion for my Ender 3 V2 I would consider it and swap the power supply.
thats actually what im doing now! its coming in a few days and its gonna go right next to my E3V2
Ender 3V2 has the same meanwell powersupply
on my ender 3 v2 i have meanwell lrs-350W-24V psu
Looking good. my first experience with a ChaingLang was with a Tronxy and I swear the PSU smelled like a farm... LOL. I just wish this kept the all black look. Too bad the housing can't be re used like the ender 2 pro. I know its cosmetic. LOL
Could gut it and paint it if you wanted but then you have to worry about possibly messing up the grounding. Not worth it just for some extra color lol
@@TH3DStudio agreed. Not worth it… just cosmetic. I am interested to see how long the bearing last.
Mine measured at .6 so it's fine.
yeah thats not terrible but the meanwells come in well under that.
Could you possibly do a video on upgrading the SV06 Plus power supply? It is different to the regular SV06 power supply and mine is dead. I don't trust Sovol's quality so I would rather upgrade it.
We're going to have a replacement soon.
What would you suggest for the SV03? Thanks.
The SV03 *should* come with a meanwell already. Open up the bottom and see whats in there. If its not a meanwell they are still advertising it as such so I would go after where you bought it from to get a refund to get one or return it. But that SV03 still takes the same 350W 24V meanwell that the SV06 uses.
Meanwell LRS-350-24
I have one question...this meanwell psu is a 350W-24V while the sovol sv06 has 360W-24V ...Isnt that a problem?
Nope. The stock PSU is crap and will not handle that. Its an off-brand chinese PSU so their ratings are about as honest as a politician.
@@TH3DStudio this psu used in kingroon printers too but that are an other cheng liang PSU , maybe thats a bette series I dont know😅 I dont read issue
Will this same power supply work on the SV06 Plus?
Likely not. The SV06 Plus has a 450 W PSU, the non-Plus has a 350 W. Smart move to replace the PSU. The original one jams FM-radios, crashes the printer, makes it show funny numbers as sensor readings and interrupts inputs. Have leveling issues? My bet would be on the PSU. I replaced mine with a much more expensive one and it works like a charm.
@@39XenonD which PSU did you replace your SV06 Plus power supply with? My power supply is completely dead and I need a replacement.
@@TheSupremeDiggity Sad to hear it already broke in your printer, given it can't be old..
I replaced mine with the Mean Well UHP-500-24. Quite a big price tag, but upgrades are: No fan, with PFC, no electrical noise and about 80 W less power consumption when heating up. Oh, and the ones mentioned above. I'd see this as a win.
It's not a 1:1 swap, you'll need to design/print/build a new enclosure to attach it to the printer. Have fun :)
@@39XenonD Thank you for the response friend.
@@39XenonD I see a $106 but since mine is dead I may have to just spend for the upgrade.
I don't know if I can print a holder out since my printer is dead. Do you think I could wire it up without the case and then print the case out on the printer without killing myself?
Do you know of anywhere with the stl files or did you design your own? I don't mind working in Fusion to make my own but if I am going to do a patch up job and print the case without properly securing the PSU I don't really want to do a print that doesn't fit properly and then have to do multiple prints.
Dude looks like Seth rogan
are you going to make the cover available as a stl download ? I purchased a powersupply and psu cover from you for my sv06 and didnt realize it (the cover) wouldnt work.
Order number: 376336
Yeah later today. I wanted to get the V2 up there so we can post the video.
