Dany and her brother were the last surviving children of the Mad King, whom Jamie killed when Roberts rebellion was happening.
Robert stole the throne from them (though his line had a bit if targaryen blood in it) so he was raised since childhood expecting to be king.
He was a Targaryen so he thought the iron throne is his by right bc the mad king (that Jamie Lannister killed as his kings guard and why he is known as the Kingslayer) was his family and he would be the only male heir, but Dany is also a Targaryen so she would be the next rightful heir but as a woman it makes it even harder and not welcomed by many.

His father the mad king ( Aerys Targaryen ) named his the era to the crown and not his older brother
Basically the one who got a "golden crown" was Viserys Targaryen and his father was King Aerys Targaryen aka The Mad King. When Robert won the rebellion and Jamie (The Queens brother/lover) killed the Mad King, Viserys became heir to the throne however Robert took it hence why the Targaryens, Viserys and Daenerys are across the sea, where they were sent for safety during the rebellion.

Turn on the captions. Seeing the names & dialogue helps comprehension, especially with the foreign accents.
just a little detail, when Jorah Mormont stopped Viserys from taking the dragon eggs, Viserys asked him “does loyalty mean nothing to you?” and Jorah responded “It means everything to me.” Viserys then said “And yet here you stand” and Jorah says back “And yet here I stand.”
Jorah is from house Mormont, and their words are Here I Stand. Like the Stark words are Winter Is Coming and the Lannister words are “Hear Me Roar”. It’s worthwhile learning the words of the major noble houses because they will pop up from time to time and they will give hints as to what’s happening.
