- Hogwarts Legacy will be getting new content, game features and updates this year in 2024! So in this video, I take you through what that new content will be as well discuss Hogwarts Legacy DLC predictions and what Avalanche Software are likely to include in future Hogwarts Legacy update releases before Hogwarts Legacy 2 is announced for a 2025/2026 release date (predicted).

I think their mistake was not having 4 distinct advantages based on your chosen house. It seemed that would have been a given.
An interesting MP is to have up to 4 players and each player competes to complete quests. There would have to be some sort of randomization program so that the quests are not the same.
It would also be nice if they could tone down your character being a kleptomaniac.
I would absolutely love if they added some additional quests in the story line. Like if we could tame the dragon we save or have to raise the egg. And maybe become an animagus like Netty. I just think some fun things like this would be really cool. Even if they just expand the amount of magical creatures we get to catch and add another vivarium or two would be awesome.

Unlocking skills/talents is a definite must for me as well mate, I really hope they do this!
Being able to sell potions would be a big improvement especially when you get no loot for opening a chest if you have have max healing potions

And I even doubt that there will be any mayor new content drops.
I honestly think they will just do some nice quality of life stuff and drop the missing content for other platforms that were ps5 exclusives and that is about it.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 will be full live service then.
That is my full expectation right now.

expansions I would love to see for Hogwarts Legacy:
- mario kart style broom racing (think customizable brooms, different courses through hogwarts, hosmeade, maybe even london, and different schools through out the wizarding world if they expand the map. Definitely an online feature to play cross platform.
-quidditch through the ages. (playing quidditch in general through any time period would be cool but would love this expansion)
- fantastic beast rescuing/ taming/ saving etc..
-lastly a goblet of fire expansion at different schools like Uagadou, livermorny, Mahoutokoro, Durmstrang, Beauxbatons etc... Taming/ riding dragons, racting to complete fun missions etc. could be really cool.

I think Quidditch and Tri-Wizard Tournament are the strongest choices and MANY have requested or spoke of these. I think a tri wizard tournament with maybe the option to play multiplayer would be pretty cool 😎

I vaguely remember thinking back in Feb 2023 “aw it’s only a year wait, I can live with that” and was fully expecting to be able to play it in Feb this year. I was so disappointed to learn I would have to wait another 6 months 😭 I just wanna sell all these damn wiggenwelds hahaha

I'd love to play co-op with friends and everything the CEO lines up with this, I just hope microtransactions aren't a big part of this going forward. Still screwed up that they stated that Xbox & Pc people would get the Haunted Shop exactly 1 year after release then right as it’s about to release they were like nope sorry now you have to wait a couple months more. I’m starting to lose interest in WB when they treat 2/3 of its fans like they don’t matter to WB. I will definitely be taking all of this in mind in the future.

Part of me is really bummed about the idea of a live service but another part of me goes if it means more ability to support the devs to be able to make more of what we love from Hogwarts Legacy I'd try it for them but I never download anything that requires live services and I dislike paid subscriptions as my money just never is that stable so it gives me far too much anxiety. I really liked the single player aspect but I do like the idea of being able to play Quidditch or joining my friends. I'd love to take the Hogwarts Express as a way to render or load in travel or joining friends in different areas and all that if they have to go that route.
But I am quite hesitant on actually supporting a live service though but I loved the game so much that if I could play more I'll try it but I am not the biggest fan of it. I did like the fighting arena's actually and I love the dueling too but I am a much bigger fan of flying around and upgrading my broom and all that. I had a lot of fun of getting better and better times with the racing trials I would love incentive to do more of those
I love that Hogwarts Express idea Pip, what a creative way to breach that invitation gap in co-op! I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you though and because of that, I think they need to be super careful and make sure the live service aspect is optional, whilst not diluting the main story/game/narrative/single player that brought them so much success!
@@AndyReloads Thank you 🥹 I was just thinking up ideas on how they could patch some of the headaches with live services and that is always load times but if they incorporated the Hogwarts Express and that area with the train perhaps there could be something they could add less heavy assets and features and patch some of that loading and wait screens.
I agree with you, I think it's a very delicate balancing act and I think that route of optionality is definitely the route to go because you're absolutely right! Not to dilute the main story/game/narrative/single player that brought them so much success!
With how many people love the idea of living out these magical experiences it really would be a great idea to keep the main focus on that single player aspect and like you said make the live service really entirely optional.
All Iive services are 1% of the original content for 50% of the original price, cheap and nasty cash grabs.

There are so many things the developers can do in order for me to go back to the game, but after completing the game twice I haven't had a great reason to go back.
Im hoping these updates will address a lot of the low hanging fruit content that's missing & will be put back in the game.
Permanant Crossed wands for one, more activities overall in Hogwarts.
Our own chest
Sleep & sit in our common rooms even the older PS2 games had this.. mostly for advancing time
Spells like Reducto & Expulso, also tweak The body bind..its strange how that was kept short range only. Have the ability to charge spells with a stronger shield like the ashwinders do with confringo.
Less limitations in the ROR plus add a training dummy
Make battle arenas have unlimited waves for much more of a challenge
Overall while I think the game had its merits, I was really disappointed with how lacking it was in content, every time I hit a limitation like beasts or inventory space..that shouldn't have been a concern or worry given the worls setting I really hated the limited inventory mechanic especially with dungeons beingnso baron.

I SUBSCRUIVE BECAUSE OF THE ACCENT AND THE MUSTACHE AND THE HEIGHT TOO
I think this game had so much potential. I loved flying around with a broom, collecting appearances, being a wizard in that world. They nailed the Potter fantasy. 100%. I also found the wand combat to be fun and unique.... That all said. *FATAL FLAW* : This game is way too easy. So much so that I got bored and stopped playing. I only played on hard, as I expected it to be relatively easy with a lot of children playing... But it is too easy. You virtually never die. The fact that the game has a built in invincibility at 1 health and also gives you very generous queues when to block makes it all just way too easy; the enemies are not aggressive enough; their spells are not powerful enough, and you are just a god of magic. This made it pretty fun at first, but it quickly became so that every encounter felt unrewarding. I never felt like I was ever in _any_ danger. Just run into camp and 1 v. 20 the entire camp and win. Next camp. I hope they somehow fix that and add a new difficulty or something. I think the rest of the game is great. It doesn't have to be a hard game, just not invincible-level easy. I would like it to at least be as hard as ocarina of time combat on the hardest difficulty -- that is not asking for much.
I hear you mate, I think some development on a "hardcore" or "nightmare" mode in a future update would be a very welcome addition!

Had you completed the second trial at that point? It’s a mission that pops up after that trial called “minding your own business”. You can’t access it until then
I played through the second trial last July and completed the whole story and completed all side quests now and it’s not been there 😢

I'd honestly love some co-op-ability going forward mate, give it some longevity for sure
This must be the first game in years that I feel like they really made something good and everywhere in the game you see that they went all overboard with the content. I admit I will from now on buy the full price, since this game is good. Most of the games after completing you think was it worth it...nah.. This has a huge story and al the side quest. But hearing the plans for the future, man I do hope they don't make stupid financial mistakes, people are actually impressed by this studio!
I figured they started this game with a character in their 5th year, b/c they were going to expand the game with DLCs to add additional years after you beat the main story. So instead of "Game+" where you just restart the game with some perks for previously beating it, you can decide to move on to 6th year and eventually 7th year, while keeping the skills you've learned.
Personally, I think they really missed the MMORPG market and how big this game could have been, b/c this game could have easily gone with a subscription model AND microtransaction cosmetic shop for massive amounts of money for further development and keeping the game rolling with frequent new content. This franchise would have been amazing online, with friends.

Since the developers haven't said anything more specific about what content they want to bring this summer, it's quite difficult to estimate what it will end up being...will it be some kind of story DLC? or just in the form of cosmetic content? You don't know... it's just that many players hope that it will be much more than just cosmetic things... and if it turns out otherwise, it will be a pure disappointment
True, only speculation really at the moment, but it would have been 1 & 1/2 years since launch, so hoping for something more substantial than just cosmetic content in that time period, managing expectations is definitely key here though, you're right
I'm not interest in mmo for HL2, co-op (if optional) would be ok, or a little mmo for arena (optional). I would prefer the HL2 team given the resource and time to deliver a quality product and not get something out in a rush because WB want to make a quick buck. Much sense for other teams and studios to be developing and or adding to the WW multiverse.

1 year and 6 months for a quest....
I won’t be playing the other three houses if they do not add the ability to skip the stupid tutorial intro and everything and just start from getting the Hogwarts after everything and a new game plus option where it allows us to not have to grab the inventory slots. Keep our transmogs and keep our clothing that’s aren’t from quests, and keep broomsticks etc that were boughten etc Or in my personal opinion even if the game lock certain things behind quest, other games have brought out new game plus modes that have given you full access to stuff so it can be done it’s whether or not they’re willing to want to. Or they could even do something like Jedi Survivor, where they give you everything but then certain things are unlocked when you unlock them in game.
I haven’t played the game since it came out. I had it completely beaten within three days of it coming out because I played the beta.
That's a really good point, I think Jedi Survivor is a great example on how to do NG+ well and if Avalanche do integrate NG+, I hope its similar in that regard.
@@AndyReloads yes other than I don’t like the being shot and killed by two blaster bolts from a droid and dying in Jedi survivor so if they can get around that aspect of it I 100% agree. I play on the hardest difficulty where I can. God of war, hogwarts, Jedi, etc.
All I got to say they better fix everything in the game there is still alot of glitchs and I think on all the Systems

this y i never stave to get 100% of a game all the fun is ruined and theres nothing to do in a game
I preordered Hogwarts Legacy for PlayStation n on the Steam store copy as well n I’ll be buying the Xbox store copy as well in the future cuz I love the game n love supporting the developers by buying new copies of the game on different platforms I can play them on. Really hope for lots of great DLC content cuz we could have big battles of witches and wizards along with smaller team and individual battles as we could have co-op and quidditch and lots more added that we can play with other players

@@AndyReloads bro if they create a co-op mode I hope it’s cross platform cuz that would be awesome n I genuinely enjoy the game n don’t mind replaying it with new characters so instead of deleting previous characters n saves I just buy a new copy of the game on a new console n replay it on Xbox or PC. Honestly I just like supporting developers of games I love so I own a lot of the same games on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, GOG, Epic Store n I’ll get a Nintendo again soon in the future so I’ll expand that way of supporting developers on Nintendo gaming platforms

yeh mate, thats fair! In GTA online you can run your own businesses which passively generate money, could be cool to have something similar in a future update going forward (kind of like the room of requirement now)

Gta v is so different frok hogwarts, gta v is designed to have online features while hogwarts does not.
I think your interpretation of Zaslov is pure copium and giving way too much hope to a type of game that just milks cash out of you for basic content. Think Marvels Avengers if you want a blueprint of what live service games are typically like.
