    To avoid helmet heads (seed pops out with shell) plant them slightly deeper and a bit more humid. The more humid the softer it gets, and the deeper, the more friction there is while sprouting so the higher chances are the husk falls as it’s pushing its way out of the soil!

    I am happy in this growing method. because it is similar with our country's practice. we are growing many many seeding at the country level on the soil bed and polythene bug. but it is not intensively managed like yours.

    Interesting to see another use for potassium permanganate. I used it in the far east to remove athletes foot ! (A military doctor gave the advice). Also rabbits apparently do not like coffee plants so maybe the Hare will not either if you put them outside in the summer:)

    • @KatsiarynaTerehova
      @KatsiarynaTerehova  Před 3 lety

      I remember we used a lot potassium permanganate for different purposes. When having animals as well to fight certain diseases we could put a little bit of it into the water. The last time I used it was when I had a bad stomach infection. It helped to fight it)

    This topic is very interesting.
    I have subscribed to your channel because I was learning about the invasion of Ukraine and your country Belarus as a participant in the matter and the google algorithm showed me your page.
    I admit that I know almost nothing about your country and it seemed like a very nice way to learn about your culture and way of life.
    Specifically about this video, have you tried growing in Hydroponics? because if your cultivation method can be carried out by hydroponic cultivation, in addition to producing several "harvests" in the same period of time, you can optimize production.
    Could be interesting, I think.
    We are in contact.
    My best wishes for peace and prosperity.

    Hello did your seeds ever sink in the water or did they remain floating? I heard if they don’t sink they aren’t viable. Thank you!

    I have one question, please: what soil did you use for planting the beans? Thanks

    • @KatsiarynaTerehova
      @KatsiarynaTerehova  Před 2 lety +2

      👋 I remember choosing a standard soil for big home plants. Can’t say exactly the composition of it, but I suppose they are the same under the marking of “standard”.

    There is no shell, the shell has already been discarded ... you only received the kernel.. that kernel contains all the nutrients for the seedling to grow.

    Oooo that's very strange, I used to manufacture Potassium Permanganate in Boots Factory Nottingham, England and it is a very strong alkali, so bloody strong that it used to eat into your skin, so very surprised to hear it being used (in mild form) for soaking beans.

    If your tree's produce fruit of their own, the seeds will probably sprout a lot sooner. Since you know the seed would be fresh.
