Growing coffee plant at home is easy ‪@OnlineGarden‬
Though it seems that growing coffee plants at home is difficult if you follow these steps you can easily grow them in your home garden.
1. Choose or purchase a few un-roasted coffee seeds with or without outer skin.
2. As coffee seeds are very hard compared to any other seeds hence soaking in normal water for 24-36 hours is necessary.
3. After soaking remove outer skin and clean coffee beans thoroughly.
4. As coffee seeds are hard they require a constant moister till Germination choose a Growing Medium that can hold moister for longer.
And for this Coco peat is best.
5. Moisten the Coco peat and put Soaked coffee seeds one inch deep in it, and water thoroughly.
6. Now cover the pot with Polythene to keep moisten the growing medium for a long time, it also helps to create a warm and humid climate for coffee seeds.
7. It takes about 1-2 months for Seed germination.
