The Hill style bow has my attention, the closest I have to compare is a Martin Mountaineer. I can imagine the Hill would feel close in comparison. I like the feel of a straight grip handle with narrow limbs.
FYI, the youth longbow is not a Hill Style Longbow/American Style Longbow made in a American Style Short Bow, but rather a Barely enough in bend to be an R&D longbow made as a barely R&D Shortbow. However, I call Youth longbow an ASS/ or American Style Shortbow if used by adults since in string up bow looks like a classic D longbow design kind of how a Bear Montana is made so bow can use a notched grip.
Beautiful work is an understatement..... Great job Shane, Nick and the camera Person😊
Love process, like a scientific artform when making a traditional bow where more high performance a bow is, more science and less art a bow is.
absolutely beautiful bow and excetional work as always. top bowyer.
Great work❤🧠 thanks for another video.
Stunning Work brother!!
Really appreciate this video as I am just finishing a longbow now and it has been very helpful. Well done 👏
I can certainly appreciate your ability with a variety of tools and sanders. You make it look easier than it really is. Beautiful work!
Beautiful work as always!!!!!
Watching someone who is really good at what they do makes its entertaining! A true craftsman at work makes things look easy. Beautiful bow man!
Thanks, Brian! You are awesome!
That is a very fine bow that hill himself would have loved to shoot I am sure.
beautifull work, another great bow as usual, craftmanship, thanks to you and your team for another perfect video,
Fascinating 👍🎯

@@greatplainsbow you are very welcome🙇
That is awesome how you turn a block of everything into art.
Thanks! I really appreciate that!
Very cool shop, excellent video, thanks!

Our standard hill style handle is not straight, however I've done many custom straight ones which I'd be glad to do for you also
You do so much custom work. Do you make limbs for take down bows as well?
@@roymilligan I do
Thanks for sharing your knowledge of bowyery. You do nice work. Dee-lin-e-ation 😊😊😊

You shuold open a Shop in germany!!!
Its realy hard to find a greatPlains bow here
Honestly I'd love to or at the very least come visit for a couple weeks. I think Germany is awesome! I've got two fantastic dealers there
@@greatplainsbow realy!?
Where?
@@exzendar2523 I will look up the towns here and let you know this evening
The shop that buys the most bows from us is Bogenpunkt in Wilnsdorf.
@@greatplainsbow thx!!!
And now you know why they cost so much. Craftsmanship.
You sir, are awesome
Guys just a question what does that bow cost
Base price for a hill is $750. That one is $850 with the buffalo overlays
Sexy looking bow as always.
When you say, "trapping the limbs", what exactly do you mean by that?
Making the limbs into a trapezoidal shape by grinding a bevel on the outside edges of the belly side of the limbs
How much ist that bow?
That one is $850
Will you be bringing any ASL bows to Compton? You make them with straight handles also correct?
If we go to Comptons (which we are planning on it at this point) we will have some with us. We will have some straight grips
@@greatplainsbow I hope that you will be there as I book my trip from AZ partly because you said that you will be there on you-tube.
Where’d you get those nice round sanders?
Are you talking about the rubber sanding blocks?
Yes, the teardrop shaped sander
@@reesejones2357 they are rubber teardrop sanding blocks. Durablock makes one and I believe powertec makes them also. You can find them on Amazon
@@greatplainsbow thanks!!
I sure enjoyed watching my next asl being created. Is a two piece an option and price difference if yes.
Yes two-piece is an option. It adds around $175
NICE. CRAFTSMANSHIP
