Just finished watching Apollo flip over 3 house robots in the new series what an inspiration.
He almost flipped new Sir Killalot.
Tornado, Razer, Hypnodisc, Pussycat, Behemoth, Gravity, Terrorhurtz, Thor and 13 Black vs Sir Killalot, Dead Metal, Matilda, Sgt Bash, Shunt, Growler, Mr Psycho, Cassius Chrome and Major Damage on a giant arena, my dream rebellion
Needed one more and personally, I think he was decent, even if he's not great. Maybe Mute or Firestorm instead, but I think that'd give the team too many flippers given the insanity of gravity's and the lifting capability of Behemoth, also, I didn't include Panic Attack because though it may be able to beat competitor robots due to clever use of what little power it has, it doesn't have the outright power to take on the house robots
I think that The Revolutionist could be stuck in there.
Blows my mind this ain't on TV, kids now won't grow up watching this... Shame

Cassius Chrome=Worst House robot ever.
I think Cassius Chrome was crap compared to the other house robots because it was the only one that wasn't built under the technical supervision and funding of the BBC's visual FX department.

Well actually. Cassius Chrome made up for his shitness in his speed. The weight of him made up for it, I mean, he DID knock out a couple batteries from a few competitors.
Matilda 1.0 was worse.
Yeah, him and Dr. Psycho just didn't do any damage.

I think Behemoth and Gravity did properly win that. Growler and Cassius Chrome got flipped over and Mr Psycho was immobolised at the end.

Twits bashing on Battlebots or Robot Wars saying the other is superior. As someone who lives in America, and grew up on Battlebots, both series are equally enjoyable for me. I personally, would LOVE to see more House Robot Rebellion matches. Seeing people put their differences aside to wreck those that are supposed to be god-tier.
They need Hypnodisc and Razer or any combination of Hypnodisc, Razer and Chaos II

The old House Robots were far far better
If they'd used the original four house robots for this battle, they would've lost. Shunt would've probably gone straight out of the arena. Look how easily Gravity flipped Growler... The original house robots were considerably lighter than the ones that were added later.

I'd like to see an up to date fight... aka. Tombstone, Bronco, Nightmare, and Warhead vs some house robots that are capable of cheating (tasers, entanglement etc..) I think it would be entertaining.
But imagine IceWave and Tombstone going against Mr.Psycho! Mr.Phsycho would get ripped to shreds!

I'm surprised that Razer isn't a house robot, it's so destructive with the crushing beak. If there was an 8th robot wars, mabye they could host a "house robot invitational tournament." 16 Robots compete in 4 melees of 4 and the 2 heat winners go on to a second round 1-on-1 and the winner faces a second 1-on-1 before a final between the 2 best robots and winner of that 1-on-1 faces a house robot and if they can beat ("whoever it is"), they become a house robot.
There is a reboot of the show airing later this year

BBc Two's rebooting Robot Wars! They just announced it today! I hope to see these 3 house bots again. They're my favorites. :)
Unfortunately for the new series there's no Sgt. Bash, Cassius, Growler, Psycho or Refbot :(

It was aired I just think Channel 5 had been dicking about with the timing of the shows towards the end as they knew they weren't going to review it.

Aside from this and the Extreme Warriors one, it would have been nice to have seen more House Robot rebellions where the competitors stood a chance. My dream one would involve competitors with real grudges against the House Robots, something like Razer, Panic Attack, Diotoir and Wheely Big Cheese vs Matilda, Shunt, Sergeant Bash and Sir Killalot.

Pussycat was one of the best they've beaten some of the best Robots such as Hypno Disc and Razer.
Chaos 2, Hypno Disc and Razer Vs ALL the house robots. That would have been good.

Though the old house robots are significantly weaker than the ones that appeared in the reboot, I felt they had a lot more personality, like they were actually alive and willing to break the rules a bit rather than just come out when "Rogue House Robot" was rolled.
When Behemoth attacks Mr Psycho, Behemoth uses its axe and it snaps off. LOL xD

Sir killalot vs Mr psycho: tie, they are both as good as each other.
Maltilda vs shunt: matilda wins:tight battle but matilda would probably flip shunt (shunt can't self right).

I saw it air on Channel 5.
Never mind that Mr. Psycho, a 750kg (1653lb) machine was K.O.'d by Behemoth, a 100Kg (220 lbs) machine. Growler was 375kg (827lb) and Cassius Chrome was 250kg (550lb). The fact that Gravity and Behemoth could even look competitive against them shows how horribly designed and built the house bots are.
lets face some truths here, all the house robots after Kill A Lot were either rubbish or so flipping giant, they were too big for the arena. The robots in the final wars (BBC, not C5) could quite easily take on the original house robots, Matilda was pretty ineffective at the end

in a fair fight, Razor could have taken any of the original House Robots, it slaughtered Matilda, could have had a good go at Growler as well. Razor was a real example of a robot which was not only very effective, but also had some style and personality, which is kinda what the House Robots were there for in the early series.
i disagree, i think growler is a great robot. the other 2 yer i guess ur right! i liked the idea of the 'sykes and bullseye' paring though
if Growler had been a year one House Robot he would have been fine, he seemed an odd inclusion so late in the series run. Also he was the only house robot to appear to be based on animal, which I didnt really like.
Throw in either Razor or Chaos 2 and those house robots would have lost.
The best house robot is the floor flipper.

All the house robots pre sir K were brilliant. Well designed and had a lot of personality. These robots seem to be built just because the competitor's robots were becoming a match for the old house robots so their design is silly.
I think what annoyed me most about this is when JP said "Nothing is quicker across the arena floor than growler" Funny since it was only 17 MPH yet many competitors could reach speeds over that, and Growler wasn't even the fasted house robot. Believe it or not, Cassius Chrome was the fastest at 20 MPH. Still, JP is the god of commentary! :D

It's weapons may not have been that good cosmetically, and maybe a strong enough hit could knock something lose. But it had some pushing power.

Yeah but let's be honest there were really few who were as well controlled as Growler when moving around at a good speed, I can think of Firestorm being better than Growler but few for others..

i think it was unfair within this fight. However i think if it was a 2v2 that would be fair, However i feel they stuck mr phycho in purely because they know gravity and behemoth cannot defeat mr phycho, (or probably could not)
This is two 220 pound robots fighting 3 1000 pound monsters with an arena set to knock them out any which way so you tell me what's fair lol
The fact they did beat 2 of the 3 is impressive, but i honestly think mr phycho became disabled at the very end, but i just think... 2v2 without trying to be unfair, that would be great. (Although still unfair due to the fact of weight)
i would love to see like a 6v6 where we have fan favourites take ON the house robots. but 6 of them (and the competitors get to pick which house robots they want to VS)

+T- Rage Flippers and Wedges are super-important to the Robot Wars game though. Banning them makes momentum-based flywheel bots like Hypnodisc, Warhead, and Nightmare super-strong. Also, gravity is a pretty boss weapon in its own right. As the Robot Wars went on, more and more people realized the importance of schrimechs and flip-functional designs. As Battlebots 2015 proved, there's a obscene amount of power in flywheel designs. Thankfully, the flipper was actually pretty rare to see. Instead, a lot of wedges and sumo bots are opting for claws instead of CO2 flippers. Bots are being built sturdier and with flip-overs in mind, so as impressive as the flipper toss looks, it's not doing nearly as much work as it used to. Claws on the other hand give a wedge or sumo bot a lot of control, which plays well with arena hazards... Especially Robot Wars' infamous Pit.

HEAVYWEIGHT ROBOTS ... even with shot guns ... from 100 kilos and more ...
