Spruce Up your Interior Quick and Easy! - $20 Dollar Window Felts

  • After the windshield fail I decided to press on with the rest of the interior. I wanted to keep it simple and cheap. I bought some re-pro cardboard door panels and painted them black. I trimmed and dyed the original headliner to clean up the look. Lastly I got a good tip off Instagram to use Velcro as a cheap window felt alternative.
The interior had a huge transformation for about $40 total.

I love the Velcro Hack idea! That might come in handy for me.

Good idea with the Velcro...build on a budget! 👍 know how that is. One thing I like about the sedans over the hardtops. Is how well the door frames and seals work. For keeping out the wind noise. More rigid too. Good score on the rear window trim. Gives it a finished look. Not sure but that might be a 55 only thing.
Coming along nicely! Looking forward to seeing this beast on the road! Terrorising the locals! Lol

I have a 79 f250 that would be a great candidate for this felt job. Will give it a try. Thanks for the tip!!

Bad news is those holes are from mice making a home in the headliner. Probably full of mice fluff & poop.

Beautiful job. I'am as excited about your project as you are. The ingenuity of car builders always fascinates me. I would do a headliner, before replacing windshield and interior. It is just so much easier. GOOD JOB
