Korean made amps are expensive, but that build quality is unmatched. 900 bucks for an amp that in theory can put out 12K dynamic watts is nothing to sneeze at. Plus, props to JP for the color choice. Orange amps is a rare sight
These amps are pretty sweet. I love how he helps audio beginners understand the additional automotive accessories needed to deliver the amperage needed to provide a power baseline. System building is more than just wiring an amp and subs. Love what information this channel provides.
No kidding, I’m building a vintage hi end system in my 87 Mercedes 560. Definitely upgrading the alternator and voltage regulator and doing ALL new wiring for everything in the car
I was impressed by the build quality overall the most. The way that bad boy counted up was clean as hell. Anyone thinking this is an expensive amplifier just remember we used to pay a dollar a watt plus for good power. The good old days of Rockford Fosgate Power series and the old Hifonics series 7 and 8, Autotek mean machines, Soundstream reference and Precision Power. Things have gotten way cheaper now for higher quality. It's much easier to piss off boomers now than it was 20 years ago.... Wait I'm getting old too ☹️
always great vids! I would love to see more multi-channel reviews/tests (e.g. 4ch, 5ch, etc). Also would love to hear more discussion/distinction between SPL and SQL, mentioning noise, hiss, hum characteristics, etc. :)
Amazing results with that new power-bank, almost makes me wish you could start over again with your amp testing, as I'd love to see how some of the other amps(of the past) would perform with the generous power of those lithiums.
If you split your power cable in two at the clamp meter you can measure half the current and by Kirchhoff’s law, accurately state the total current for situations where you exceed the meter rating. Just make sure the split connections are solid to reduce voltage (IR) drop.
Nice amp. As for the cost, it's fair for what you are getting regardless of where its made. I have a Mosconi Made in Italy. that amp cost 1300 dollars. But it do sound great.

I'm 64 years old and am just amazed how class 'D' power amplifiers put out so much power in a relatively small and very light chassis at such a reasonable price. It just is so out of the range of my experience that I have trouble wrapping my head around it. 😉

Big D. Can you do a video explaining the benefits of higher efficiency and why it may be better to run an amp at 4 or 2 ohm versus 0.5-1.0 ohm if the efficiency is 90% vs 75%?
I have the V1.5 JP23 and it bangs pretty hard. This almost makes me want to sell it, and get this Amp! But on the fence of will 2 JP23s strapped be enough to reach the JP43 on the same electrical? @wilsonaudiolabs you should do a video on two jp23s vs one jp43 on your electrical. That would be a video for the record books lol
Orion 13,231w I think JPs amps are Alphard Group brand amplifiers but in a “JP” case. The Orion is a original Orion design, but I’m sure the JP is also a good amp. I don’t thank Orion makes the HCCA amplifiers anymore and I heard not that long ago Orion was sold to a Brazilian company

Just my two cents about the whole panel mount RCA thing. How many times do you have to be plugging and unplugging RCA connects for it to be a problem? Maybe just treat your stuff nicer.

@@wal they definitely are fantastic amps. I currently have a dd m5a I'll be switching to either of those. Currently have 2 fully built 9500 15s and would like to go either b2 rampage 12s or xt4 12s next on either of those amps. Right now I'm wired to half rising to 3 ohms clamping 4k at 13.5 volts.
@@wal decided for the price of one xt 8k ima switch to 2 jp 63 amps. Be better for the same amount of money and I love the color of the 63. I'm not big on the bass knobs. May get a custom knob for them with a wire to run to them if I can.

Not soon; significant power on a 12v layout is just 14v stuff ran low, in my opinion, while we are in high voltage, you should build a solid electrical and reserve. mo power, mo watts, don't let that voltage drop, yo amp might pop. 😂 then it's just a 12volt flop... we have high voltage coming tho

Big D I have a honest question. Some of most of us don't always have 14 volts what about the 13 volts are you able to strap something up to do that to see what kind of power most people would get
After testing them all I will try lower voltage with the 33 and 43. I'd like to think if you're going to use one of these you will plan out the electrical system to support 14 plus volts

SQ means something different for everyone. Any decent amp can do well at SQ if everything is set up properly
Include the amperage as well at the end like you have added efficiency

I would love to get one but not that experienced in doing systems like this. Got my 2 12 skar subs don amp and wired it myself but all the extra stuff you would need for his is what gets me I don’t know where to start

I wonder what's a better amp. This or the cab 45. Which one has better quality. I think the jp 4300 has better knobs and everything for sure. I think the cab 44 looks better for me.
Just bought this amp, can't wait to try it out! I have a question though. I'm running 2 2500 rms dual 2 ohm voice coil subs. Think I'd be OK on .5 ohm or run them at 2 ohm?
0.5 should be fine with this amp since it will do that load with the Dyno. Means it should handle 0.5 wired subs without issue

Not soon; significant power on a 12v layout is just 14v stuff ran low, in my opinion, while we are in high voltage, you should build a solid electrical and reserve. mo power, mo watts, don't let that voltage drop, yo amp might pop. 😂 then it's just a 12volt flop... we have high voltage coming tho
Do you think the tar amps smart 5k has similar sound quality and more efficient. I’m trying to get the most efficient/high. Sound quality 5K amp there is I can’t go over 15 inches long.
Some of the low ohm tests are kinda silly.. how long can it possibly run at 10,000 watts?
Literally a giga-amp of power draw and 10k on the output for under a thousand bucks. That's incredible.

Check out the power consumption at the end! Wow!!! If u can truely get 12 k out of the jp43 then it may compare to the power us for the same $ but look at the power draw!
Big D I have a honest question. Some of most of us don't always have 14 volts what about the 13 volts are you able to strap something up to do that to see what kind of power most people would get
After testing them all I will try lower voltage with the 33 and 43. I'd like to think if you're going to use one of these you will plan out the electrical system to support 14 plus volts
