I wish the post-battle results screen showed the characters up close at a standstill Splatoon style just so I could actually get a good look at their costumes.
Agreed, if they're gonna have us pay for costumes they should show them off as much as possible so we get our money's worth.

My biggest concern, aside from the usual multiplayer and micro transaction concerns, is that the gameplay and players look way to spread out. It seems like there's a lot of dead space on the map and not enough interaction between players.

I’m really not feeling the announcer, it doesn’t fit the game IMO
Yeah. I wonder if this announcer is just a temporary voice? It seems like it's not the final version for the announcer. I was hoping that they would get Chick N' Stew to communtate. That would be more fitting.
It would also help if the characters you play as had some unique dialogue to say. It feels weird not hearing them talk. You only hear grunts or when they're happy collecting something.
The announcer doesn’t sound excited in the slightest. I’ll admit he sounds a bit more excited now than he did before in earlier video footage, but oof 😅 😂 I mean this is supposed to be an intense, exciting “4v4 Party Game” right?? I hope it’s just a placeholder.. 🤣
@@emporcs5546 It would work if it was DELIBERATE, like say, Chick being super unenthuasiastic as a joke, that might have been fun. But this guy just sounds unironically bland.
@@e-122psi3 Yeah, I agree and Ikr?? It’s like he’s not even trying to sound like he cares he’s a commentator.. 😆 I wouldn’t see any problem bringing back Chick N’ Stew as announcers for this game like Nitro- Fueled.. That game really gave life to those characters..
Few things they really need to add
1. More intense music, the current music is way to calm for what’s going on.
2. The commentator sucks, it’s just a generic man voice with no real emotion.
3. Characters taunt more and talk during gameplay like in team racing. Right now with very little voices it’s VERY lifeless
I really, really wish characters spoke more. This looks so fun but sounds so empty. Hopefully they will add voice clips later on like that Nikolodean brawler game did later after release
Agreed, that's the first thought I had too... it sounds empty without the characters talking a little bit sometimes, be it the occasional short oneliners or whatever. It also makes this game seem even cheaper and more of a lazy cash grab, with the recycled animations from Crash 4 and all that
So far the game looks fun but also feels like it’s missing something. I think maybe the arenas maybe need more platforming or stage hazards. Maybe nitro or tnt crates or enemies to spin/jump on. Some “!” Crates to use as switches to open up new platforming challenges for better rewards
Every video of this seems the exact same. I have played all the way through every Crash game, Crash 4, Crash Bash, even Crash Purple and Boom Bang and somehow I am even less excited to play this. I still will though.
Hopefully, we'll get some previously scrapped characters from the Crash series. By that, I mean characters like the scrapped scientists from Cortex's canceled spinoff game or Crush Bandicoot, stuff like that.
I hope there is more from this game than just that.

I hope they do a character overview, because as much as im intrigued i still have 0 clue what's going on charcter ability-wise
going by what's being shown, i dunno chief, as interesting as it all may be, I think this game has missed it's window of opportunity by a long shot, the characters look as if they are clunky and slow, there's way too much space, of course there's the unfortunate mandatory *battle pass* we as the gaming community really love, I can't help but feel that we should take what they say about this game with a large pinch of salt, there's just something about the game itself that urks me the wrong way and i'm sure i'm not alone in this, let's just hope they don't abandon support after one year like they did to our boy nitro fueled.

I'll be honest, this doesn't look that fun. They could've done many more interesting things with a multiplayer brawler game set in the crash universe

Only two things I hope will be added in the final version of the game:
1. Make the game longer than 3-5 minutes.
2. Have some intro & victory/defeat cutscenes, along with voice interactions with characters in a team or against each other.
I'm fine with games being fairly short, I think this sort of thing would get tedious lasting for ten or more minutes.
I agree on having more animations and quotes though. This game needs more personality.

I wonder who is the Narrator though? Is it really just the disclaimer guy, or is it Chick & Stew? They did appear in the 100% Ending, so I thought they would just use them.

Definitely sounds like Roger Craig Smith, who played both Chick in CTR-NF and the disclaimer guy.
It needs to have Chick and Stew as the announcers similar to how WWE has at least two announcers at any given time.
For me, there needs to be more energy with the announcer and I would prefer if Chick and Stew were both commentating to each other about what they are watching back and forth, as announcers, similar to Nitro-Fueled..
I kinda wish the character was larger on-screen. If I’m gonna be buying skins I’d like to be able to actually see them.

This game looks boring as hell. Looks like something that'd be fun for a few matches.
the enemy Dingodile just stood on a key point and annoyed everyone with his presence, dying endlessly, but the enemy team won ... it reminded me of the garbage rounds in Overwatch: when there is no teamplay in the game, and the enemy takes Winston or Tracer - then the enemies win. Because these two heroes are able to annoy indefinitely, standing on one point. But then again - this only works when there is no teamplay... what my theory is that in Crash Team Rumble, mutual assistance is still worse than in Overwatch. And this means that Dingodiles like that, who just stand there, pester the whole game and die endlessly, can easily win round after round ... but maybe not. it's just a game theory.

i mean, with og tawna, from what we've seen of her there really wasn't much to like other than her looks. this one both looks nice and has a developed personality, so it's easier to get attached to her. (this is my opinion, don't harass me please)

@@nat-coffeebat I mean she started to have a personality in Nitro Fuelled. I wouldn't call new Tawna a HUGE upgrade either really, they just took Tawna's one comedic quality (her crush on Crash) and replaced it with 'strong female' traits.
@@e-122psi3 i mean, her personality is pretty similar to what's shown in nitro-fueled. just expanded on. she's a confident and goal-driven woman, mostly just enjoying herself- just this one is from a "what if" reality, where she had to take on the lead role. also, in the crash production bible (from 1996), they wrote that tawna was smart, tried to start a rebellion among mutants and reasoned with n. brio (probably sensing his growing disloyalty), and to quote, "[she] is a force to be reckoned with". so it's not like these traits came out of nowhere. personally i like both versions, just more attached to alt bc we get to see more of her.
(edit: that and personally i think she's still pretty comedic)
Blocker characters are probably gonna get the least usage, they don't do much besides camp at enemy goals

They did say some character cosmetics could be unlocked via challenges too
