I just got one for my birthday as I needed one for a job where I had to plunge cut a notch out of a solid oak beam which was in awkward position and I couldn’t believe how fast it cut it out. A must have tool for any DIY enthusiast or even tradesman
Nice looking tool, sits well in the hand. Not a sentence I was expecting.
I've got exact same and once you start using it you will wonder how you managed without it, I took mine before Christmas there to a job were two copper pipes had froze in a wall and burst. This tool allowed me to cut two neat holes in kitchen units to fit proper inspection covers so I could pull out the copper pipes and refit with speedfit to the shower mixer. The only problems I've had with it Martin is the sanding were the pads become detached from the Velcro and you end up damaging the plastic holder but like you say it's only for detailing work. Nice presentation and review 👍
Multi tools are invaluable on site & in a workshop environment..... far less dust than grinder or chop saw.. good stuff mate. 👍🏻🔧
Very true
Think you want the titanium blades for hardened metals.
Bert will love this Martin 🤣🤣 You’ll need to increase security on the log cabin 🤣
Wow it did a great job with the wood. I was surprised that it was pretty much a failure with screws. Thanks for the video.
Cutting depends on the blade you’re using, if you get a proper metal cutting blade it’ll make much better work of it.
These are perfect for when you fit laminate and need to cut skirting to fit underneath. Get the diamond blades may come in useful doing your tiles or cutting out plaster and plasterboard .
Thanks for the info!
The one i got come with a scraper bit and seen a guy on here sharpen the blades with small file in a vice gd luck with it.
They are a good bit of kit only trouble is is the switch. Dust gets in very easy. I've had 2 replacement multi tools mate
The bi metal is for cutting wood with nails in them.
Bought a DeWalt multi tool a while back. Best tool out there. Alot more accessories than shown too, give you enough to get started in the kit shown though
Thanks for this Martin, definitely gunna buy one of these for the Transit projects, it will be much easier in tight spaces by the looks
Nice tool. The one I had was great for cutting round skirting boards when I used to fit fireplace surrounds. Saved having to take the skirting off. 👍
That quick release Idea is brilliant, swapping those blades with the Allen key set up was a pain
I’m thinking of getting this model because I have a fence that’s screwed to the posts with access from one side only & need to cut the screws through the gaps but after watching this I’m not sure that it’ll do the job
Just slip a hacksaw blade through the gap and that will do the trick on its own. Hold it with mole grips if you can't hold it with your fingers.
In an upcoming video... "I've got a Dewalt Multi Tool that would do the job but I can't find it. Gary or Jimmy must have borrowed it. Unbelievable."
Great review. I was going back and fourth about ordering one, Your video helped me decide 🙂
good review martin, am thinking of excuses to why i need one of these lol.
I higher amp battery may help it cut screws quicker
Those are really useful tools, and you can usually re-sharpen the teeth with a triangular file in just a few minutes.
Fantastic I am a DEWALT fan and a keen fan of butlers empire❤
Nice tool range from Dewalt luck man, iam hoping to have the drill and impact soon,
Well worth it love my dewalts
Doesn't it come with a toothbrush attachment.
What a great piece of kit for joinery work, nice review Martin. 👍
handy tool martin will be perfect for garys little jobs lol
Thanks for the video review, i need to do a lot of window frame / sill sanding at home. Do you think this would be a good option or should i get a dedicated sander? The window sills are slightly rotting as well so might wood filling and thought it might be beneficial to invest in a multi tool rather than dedicated sander..
Yes, absolutely
Thank you Martin I enjoyed your review I am from South Africa
Great review Martin
Thinking about purchasing this. Thank you, mate.
No problem 👍
Not had much luck with DeWalt stuff, make sure you post your guarantee is my top tip Martin. Tell a lie the DeWalt radio lasted longer than a year on site.
Thanks for sharing this with us Martin
Love mine wouldn’t be with out it now
best thing since bread and butter use mine daily
Well, that convinced me.
Considering its DeWalt am surprised the metal cutter didnt work so well. Otherwise a nice machine
Those screws are well hardened you struggle with an hacksaw on them. They cut mild steel like the nails easily and go through a copper pipe like it’s butter
My thoughts exactly
@@butlersempire my bosh multi-tool is the same, terrible on screws, great on nails. Great on wood and a handy tool to have about.
One more thing, I don’t rate the sanding attachment, you would expect them to last longer, but they seem to loose the plastic hooks that grip the back of the sandpaper, I’m on my 3rd one.
I’ve not got an orbital sander to compare it with, so I don’t know if the same issue exists with them. 👍
@@david1976aful Yes, I mainly want it for wood Dave.
Thank you, great info
Simple to understand
The metal blade is useless just tried cutting a screw and damaged the blade supposed to be metal
You can also play tunes with it 8.50-8.59 lol Stay safe.
Great review Martin 👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Thank you
Great Vid Martin 👍
Thanks 👍
Nice bit off kit 👌
Cheers for the video swear by DeWalt.
I love dewalt and makita stanley keep up the good work dont let Jimmy see it will be gone 😂😂🤣🤣
Good and bad Martin . A pup metal blade.
Hey Martin just subscribed great channel. Do me a favour please mate I see you have the bikes in covers they look secure better then the one I have now .could you tell me the name /style of the covers please.

It's your opinion. Mine is different.
