Another way to remove a stuck setscrew in a Delta bathtub faucet (Monitor 1400) handle is to use a 3/16" left-hand drill bit. Use short bursts with the drill in reverse (the cutting direction for LH drill bits) and the setscrew might loosen. When the drill bit bites into the setscrew head, the torque might be enough to loosen the stuck setscrew. Worked for me and the setscrew was reusable.
Definitely another way to do it/ However, for me, after trying everything else, this was the last resort. Since I was replacing everything, it did not matter anyway. This way is definitely non-reusable.

Our handle broke off. The valve looks like this one. And the valve doesn’t not move easily. Do you have a video for replacing the valve, also?
Thanks! Broke out the DeWalt Band saw and off in ten seconds
Best thing to do is sawsall the handle off and install new trim. Takes about 10 minutes and u basically have a new valve.
Thank you,
