Coming from a Chelsea fan, Tuchel is a brilliant coach and will get the most out of the current squad but he has a fiery, perfectionist personality similar to Pep. If things start to not go well, no matter what the expectations are or how the project is sold to him, he will become irritable and then things start to fall down
Thomas Frank is not as good a top level coach as Tuchel but you could never accuse Brentford of being a poorly coached team, they are always greater than the sum of their parts. Frank will also be much more comfortable with slow progression that might happen with such a major squad turnover, due to having a calmer personality. The main question is if he can handle the pressure of the job

He doesn't have involvement in the Brentford recruitment process besides giving his opinion on players he's presented with by the recruitment department. The only Brentford signings he's actually requested are Mikkel Damsgaard and Christian Eriksen
