Voiceover is good. Sound quality could do with some work, but I like what I'm hearing, especially if every future voiceover is short and sweet like this.
I agree that I like the voice-overs, but the audio quality would need to be better in my opinion. Would recommend getting something like the Audio-Technica AT2020 and just a simple mixer that has a 48V DC phantom power switch. Also go for the XLR version over the USB, because while the USB version is nice, it can't compete yet with XLR in audio quality. This is the mic I use myself and love it. Edit: Also I think that there is a bundle option now called the AT2020PK, which includes a studio boom arm with an integrated XLR cable, a pair of monitor headphones, and of course the mic. Honestly, I would definitely prefer the voiceover with the time lapse. Watching a ten minute video where random colours flip across the map is hard to follow along with because there's not really a whole lot of clues going on to inform what's happening. Having a sort of...I dunno...play by play of the events or a "hey take a look over here" to draw attention to something interesting would make the whole thing far more meaningful for someone like me.

I like the idea of using the voiceover for timelapses that require a bit of explanation like this one, while perhaps not doing a full voiceover for more easily understood or simple timelapses, to help keep the focus of this channel towards the action on the screen.
I like the voice-overs, its nice to get some insight into what's happening, plus there's so many details that we can't see, like the HRE where Ulm might become emperor or smth and totally change the dynamic of the region.

BRB starting a custom nation Bafrica game. Also, really liking the voice-over. Especially in the start when nations are small, it's easy to miss stuff happening and then suddenly notice someone's gotten really huge.
You could've said that Bafrica was a real former country located in Sudan and I'd completely believe you. There have been weirder coincidences of place or ethnicity name, both exceedingly appropriate and amusingly deceptive.
I dunno how I feel about the voiceover. Maybe for complex things, but it makes it harder for the videos to just be things to have on in the background.

Bafrica is actually pretty historically accurate. Countries like India, Pakistan, and Nigeria had never existed before and only came into existence after colonization (not saying that colonization is a good thing of course).
Maybe to resolve this in the future, rename these custom countries to their real life historical counterpart. Like Kush for Sudan and Xhosa for South Africa etc

why does england NEVER invade france after a certain time, you just see france and spain atttack them and they fend them off but never expand into france and spain??? can we get one wuth teh same time line but with cassus belis versus france and spain?
What culture did you make Bafrica? Could you prevent them from popping up by making them a culture which would not provide separatist rebels (e.g. a lost culture).

Voice over makes the video a lot more engaging imo. Red Hawk does it (although he and you have different styles), and I think it works well there too.
