- In today's Europa Universalis IV (EU4) video we will be swapping the places of Britain and Ireland with Japan and seeing how things play out. Religion and mission trees will all remain the same. Samurai in Paris?

The irony of Great Britain achieving ww2 Japan goals💀
And Japan actually having almost all Angevin and North Sea Empire claims.
They should swap irl then

After forming GB: "It has come to our attention that everything to our West can be forced to produce tea..."
Laughed out loud
Yeah this got me good.
You made my day 😂
Glad to see Drew's old content kept alive here, he was my childhood.
I like how both of them are stronger in this scenerio compared to how their actual games usually go.
It's like importing some birds into a new environment that hasn't evolved to counter them at all and they just outcompete all the locals.
@@RoyalFusilier lmao well said, they are invasive species
4:33 Later Jin is a tag that the Manchu tribes get after completing one of their missions, requiring them to own (almost) all of Manchuria after already having a slight incursion into China. It is the (Chinese) name of an actual Jurchen dynasty of 1616-1636.
Daimyo basically just means "Large landlord" more or less, so it seems accurate for most medieval European leadership lol
Yep, this is some Drew Durnil level shit... I LIKE IT
It would be so much better if Britain was in a sengoku era with Ireland as Hokkaido and like Japan was just 3 nations, ashikaga in the south and uesugi in the north, with Hokkaido split into Irish clans
This makes me wonder what would happen if we had a game with a Roman Shogunate and a Holy Japanese Empire.
I’m waiting on the mod to be made and I’m DOWN
Obligatory "Corporate needs you to find the difference..." joke. Also need to recognize that an alliance of samurai, vikings, and the winged hussars is like a Sabaton album cover come to life to rampage across Europe, they're just done after that.
Here's an idea, what if all the nations in the world were under one dynasty? Aztec Hapsburgs, Ming Hapsburgs, French Hapsburgs, etc
10:33 King Chiooo V of York
Shout out Chiooo, long time supporter
You missed 3:35 that Flanders was not only daimyo but an elector and that Aragon's ruler name is broken
It also looks like Brazil may be in dynastic union with Britain.
Scenario: The new world is extremly scary with far more powerful nations then in Europe. (try 5)
I'm still sad there isn't a mod that alters American Natives to use the High American tech group.
Should’ve made Normandy and Bordeaux daimyos of Ashikaga
should try out touhou universalis it adds a whole new continent, nations, religions, unique mission trees for those nations and more
I like the map mod, and especially the straits you added!

If a player wants to make a Shogun run from that starting position its completly busted. Just get all of the hre as daimyos and nobody can stop you

Now I’m dreaming of a Japanese-French cuisine
In the early 20th century, as Japan expanded its influence across the globe, it established colonies in various regions, including France. This colonization led to a significant cultural exchange between the two nations, including their culinary traditions. Over time, the Japanese and French cuisines began to blend, resulting in the birth of a unique fusion cuisine.
The Tempura Croissant Sandwich is believed to have originated in the mid-20th century in the bustling streets of Paris. The story goes that a Japanese chef, trained in traditional tempura techniques, settled in Paris and decided to experiment with incorporating the delicate, flaky croissant, a staple of French pastry, into the Japanese tempura style.
Being familiar with the French love for sandwiches, the chef sought to create a dish that combined the best of both culinary worlds. Drawing inspiration from the French croque-monsieur, a classic ham and cheese sandwich, the chef decided to substitute the traditional filling with tempura ingredients.
To create a harmonious balance, the chef carefully selected ingredients that complemented each other in terms of texture and flavor. Shrimp, with its delicate sweetness, was chosen as the star of the dish. Thinly sliced zucchini and carrot were added to provide a refreshing crunch and subtle sweetness.
The chef then prepared a light and crispy tempura batter, using his knowledge of Japanese techniques. By combining the French croissant with Japanese tempura, the chef aimed to achieve a juxtaposition of textures: the flaky, buttery croissant against the crispy, airy tempura coating.
As word of this innovative fusion dish spread, it quickly gained popularity among locals and visitors alike. The Tempura Croissant Sandwich became a symbol of the unique cultural exchange between Japan and France, embodying the culinary fusion that resulted from their intertwined histories.
Today, this dish stands as a testament to the rich and diverse culinary heritage born from the Japanese France. It represents the creativity, innovation, and harmonious blending of two distinct culinary traditions, showcasing the endless possibilities that emerge when cultures collide in the realm of food.
Dish: Tempura Croissant Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 2 croissants
- 4 large shrimp, deveined and peeled
- 1 small zucchini, thinly sliced
- 1 small carrot, thinly sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup ice-cold water
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Salt, to taste
- Mayonnaise
- Soy sauce
Instructions:
1. Preheat your frying oil in a deep saucepan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the tempura batter by combining the all-purpose flour and ice-cold water in a bowl. Mix gently until just combined, leaving some lumps in the batter for a lighter texture.
3. Dip the shrimp, zucchini slices, and carrot slices into the tempura batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
4. Carefully place the battered ingredients into the preheated oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until the tempura turns golden and crispy. Remove the cooked tempura from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the tempura while they are still hot.
5. Slice the croissants in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom bun.
6. Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the inside of each croissant half.
7. Arrange the cooked tempura on the bottom half of the croissant, layering the shrimp, zucchini, and carrot to create a visually appealing and flavorful combination.
8. Drizzle a small amount of soy sauce over the tempura fillings to add a savory umami element to the dish.
9. Place the top half of the croissant over the fillings to complete the sandwich.
10. Optionally, you can serve the tempura croissant sandwich with a side of mixed greens or French fries for a complete meal.

Korea should switch places with ireland in europe
I’m sure it wouldn’t work but swapping the Indies? Caribbean in the east and Indonesia in the west
Ireland is just South Korea as an island
Here a weird video idea.
Randomise the province IDs and watch the code break!
A mod that removes the HRE and replaces it with a ocean? It'd split europe down the middle and add a lot more coastal states
I suggest the Africa and Sputh America swapped Mod next or the mod where Africa and Asia has a chance in the new world (forgot the name of the second mod but i know drew did A video on it)

How would the Islamic and Arab nations head on with Europeans
Lore of What if Japan and the British Isles switched places? (EU4) momentum 100
My man forgot to do a cultures overview
I'd love to see a video where you shove all the monuments into a random uncolonized new world province (also change the localization to call it "El Dorado" for extra fun points). Also open up all the requirements so that at most they require the province culture to be accepted and the province religion to be the state religion.
Ideally put it close to one of the remaining nomadic natives. Make it a race to El Dorado.
Russian Russia is probably my favorite nation in this video
I feel like I've seen a switch japan with British isles before but anyway nothing like rooting for Japan to dominate in Europe
