EU4 but ALL TRADE GOODS are COAL
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 18. 09. 2022
- In today's Europa Universalis IV (EU4) video we will be changing the trade good of every province in the world to COAL. Coal is the most valuable trade good in the world and the furnace, the manufactory associated with it, gives global goods produced bonuses, allowing every nation to snowball their economy throughout the game.

Finally Bengal not becoming a litteral blue blob
now make the whole world cold so everyone has attrition
âIf the natives keep being annoying, i will delete themâ hmmm where have i heard that before
Savages, savages....

you know, telling people to ship coal to newcastle probably loses all meaning when EVERYONE produces coal
But⊠Newcastle produces coal
@@sawyersprott exactly
now you can just tell people to ship coal
If this was vic two everyone would be super poor
Homestuck spotted đ
We did Gold and Coal, but now itâs time to truly break the game with the best trade good in the game⊠fish!
What about slaves
â@@andrefasching1332every province has people though
9:59 funnily enough Cirebon is actually a release-able tag located on western part of Java and as of 1444 is under territory of either Majapahit/Sunda. Either the A.I decided to tag switch cause the mission gives them more gold or the A.I just dumb enough to release the tag and those released nation only for later consume them to form Malaya
knowing the Ai separatist took the province and eat them up
I didn't think about how Ming would have a headstart just being huge to begin with getting the early money and early bonuses. I'm kind of surprised Russia didn't get insane income, I'd argue especially so with British Money surely flowing into them.
Because Russia is a junior partner in personal union with GB, not the other way around.
Ming doesn't just have a lot of provinces but because all the Chinese trade steers through Beijing they get a lot of value from trade.
@@andrewgreenwood9068 Though at the end it showed ming having 3.1k from production and only 1.5 from trade. So trade wasnt their main source compared to brittain. Found it kinda weird he didnt look at total income since austria was number one at 5.3k and ming at 2 with 5k
Chewbert: money doesn't solve everything
Ming: IT DOES
Looks like he found the only way to stop Bengal from becoming the biggest Indian player
the AI kinda bugs out with coal provinces and just devs the hell out of them, which is why places like kosovo and metz always have high dev in vanilla. that's prolly why the dev map was like that
I love it!
Freaking 43 dev Auvergne, it haunts me everytime.
@@alpitos me trying to conquer sardinia but dumbass spain has developed cagliari to 50
You missed production income completely, Austra had 3800, Ming 3200, this is more than trade income
Oh no!!!! Iâm a FAILURE!
11:34 also Aisin Gioro Ming. IRL that was the imperial family of the *Qing.* IDK how they ended up in charge of Ming.
I guess someone else beat me to the comment. Though I think the way this happened was Ming royal marrying Jianzhou (which starts with the Aisin Gioro dynasty) who is their tributary
Speedrunning climate change, I like it.
Clean coal, like Germany, it's ecologically responsible
@@Chewbert Ecologically responsible was not shutting down all nuclear plans in Germany and going hyper for natural gas. :v
@@Hadar1991 of course, nuclear is the future except in retarded countries that insist itâs still somehow not safe đ
@@Chewbert nuclear fuel doesnât taste as good tho
@@Chewbert I'm sad because I'm from one of those retarded countries
Itâs pretty rare to see Ming not implode into itself
Right??
@@Chewbert I wonder if the near infinite gold let them hire enough mercs to solve all their rebel problems? Because while Ming has a ton of dev, it's actually really short on manpower dev, and so suffers manpower shortages after it's first few wars.
This is what Mao thought was going to happen when he ordered all the farmers to produce their own steel.
Ming: We might be starving but business is booming
Great video, thanks for listening to my suggestion, I really needed to see how the AI develops land and I didn't expect the AI do develop alot, especially Vienna and many cities in the desert of North America, I thought you forgot abiyy the development mapmode because you didn't pick it everytime you stopped the time to check the situation and I didn't expect the Dynasty of Manchu/Qing to rule Ming.
I was curious about the monuments map, with all that money maybe a lot of them upgraded?
Santa is bringing everyone coal, true equality
Why do furnaces get unlocked at admin tech 21, if you need enlightenment to get coal in the first place?
Thats more than 50 years between unlocking furnaces and unlocking coal.
Shouldn't it be switched? You first unlock coal, which is even a good trade good without furnaces, and later unlock the building to get the massive boost.
Or are there events that turn provinces trade goods into coal before enlightenment?
Nah itâs kinda an oversight lol
Cirebon is a unique name you can only get by mission by playing as Sunda, you could also change your name to Benten. I did a whole playthrough as Cirebon it's fun.
Nice Video all in all. Kinda crazy game and pretty clean borders from kliwa. Sadly though Cheie never took a closer look to the Production income.... 3.8 k from Austria in the end
This is giving me old Drew Durnil Vibes Lol. Love the content so far so keep it up!
Nice of you to wait until after the funeral to upload a video Chewbo, very respectful. I didn't realise you were such a Monarchist.
I do what I can for my friends across the pond

Nonsense they have coal, they can skin em', mash em', stick em' in a stew
Very cool video!
This was a really good one conceptually speaking

Turns out Chewbert was a 17th century colonist AND THE TRIBES DID ANNOY HIM
The most cursed dynasty that you forgot to mention is that Ming is ruled by the Aisin Gioro dynasty which is the historic dynasty that ruled the Qing.
I didn't even catch it, super funny lol
Eu4 but all nations that aren't great powers are deleted
To make up for the fact that you didn't delete any natives
seeing ming ruled by the aisin gioro dynasty of the qing is one of the most unspeakably cursed things i've ever seen from eu4 and i have no idea how the hell that happened or why no one else is talking about how evil that is
Fun fact: The coal production numbers of the southern Song in the 1400s were only matched by England later in the 1800s.
yo bro, really thankya. Big respect
No problem đ
It seems sunnis can use the "request heir" function even tho they can't get personal unions
I was really dissapointed to see ming collapsing there, I was so happy to see this comeback
do cloves next
mein gott
I notice everyone is building their first furnaces in border provinces. Is that something the AI normally does? Put new buildings or development in the provinces that they're most likely to lose?
Brings a big smile to my face to see that colonization has actually been fixed
you should start uploading the save files to skanderbeg at the end of the campaigns
This is what clean coal looks like
The Empire of Illinois...That was a fun tag see pop up.
this is one of the issues i have with trade in the game, because trade nodes will still make money, but the logic is, who is buying coal when they produce it themselves
Imagine how bad the air quality would be with all this coal.
Itâs clean coal, no stress!
"Fixed the natives" they say that every patch
Lmao this one seems to be pretty solid
@@Chewbert I just got back into EU4 from a like 2 year hiatus, what exactly made them so horrible? Also, your videos are what got me back into it! Iâm a veteran player(o have like 8k hours) so itâs nice to be back
@@theomorphical I think the main issue were federations becoming untied and then being able to join new federations and those being united and they end up consolidating into a continental empire. The patch notes seemed to address this issue specifically so I assumed it was the main one at least for the previous patch.
@@theomorphical Cheers dude, welcome back!
They broke them in Emperor because they added these federation mechanics and they end up blobbing and being massive nations that snuff out the colonial game so it became super super annoying to do colonial games
I'm with a beer and seeing that Austria won by PUing the most powerful nation, stealing the victory in the last 100y of the game, literally made me boast for them like if my favorite team scored a touchdown. It was quite an experience haha
Well on the theme of what your doing, you can't have the good without the bad. You should do one making all trade goods the worst trade good in the game.
Lmao
Oops! All fish!
Cirebon is one of the options for Sunda I believe.
You should do one of every resource
Wouldâve been interesting to import the save to Victoria and see what will happen there
starting brigades would be a matter of life and death since u cant replace them and ur always gonna be swarmed by rebels since no1 can get any needs
I wonder how salt only would effect the world with the defensive bonuses, as well as it being a low value trade good
Salt is actually like a medium/high trade value good
I think the better ai makes colonisers much better as they actually conquer new world lands now.
Ming being lead by the aisin gioro who irl lead the qing is wierd.
And awesome
next up: all the world are gemmys
How do you delete the natives? I want to in my games just period
Damn I wanna play a game with this
Imagine if this timeline lasted past the year 2000, would humanity still be alive due to climate change?
We'd have Dutch ovened ourselves.
Very nice video. Can you try with grain in every province?
Perhaps, not sure how it would go aside from people having MASSIVE armies đ
@@Chewbert also the Hordes might have a good game
Now you should make it to where the whole world is cloves
How come i never knew how OP coal is?
What is coal?
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
Coal more
*INTENSIVE POW POW POW WOW*
Who controlled the highest percentage of coal trade in the end?
Every province to salt with max level forts so we get undeniable evidence that the AI ignores zone of control
lmao imagine the frustration of a player
@@Chewbert the real Byzantium challenge run lmao
Nice!
But I want to see more total income instead of trade income haha đ
Itâs all there, you can see it on the left side :)
A world where Santa hates everyone
Black lung will hit different in this timeline huh?
Early prediction, there will be some kind of toll in place for all that coal burning.
I think the dev's need to encourage the new world AI to culture convert. The dont feel like religiously converting but anyone who ends up colonizing will convert for their subjects
And why trade in coal when everyone has it?đ€
kek epic sharty reference
The atmosphere of the planet must look and smell like arse by the 1900's. lol
How coal would be in any way vaulabe since its so common
Itâs a good thing thereâs no such thing as supply and demand in EU4
I love breaking supply and demand in Vic2
There used to be in the old days
I miss that
Scottish Louisiana in Michigan is either the most blessed or the most cursed.
I lean toward blessed

what if every sunni nation is catholic, every shia nation is orthodox, every ibadi nation is coptic and vice versa
Now whole world as cloves
I kinda want to know how many countries ended with maxed out cash.
Such a dark timeline.
Do All Provinces Cloves They are Basically Coal But More Worse
VĂtkovci dynasty on Poland-Lithuania throne... the hell? Went to googling cuz the name is obviously Czech(or Bohemian if you will)... and sure enough... a numerous and quite old noble family(first documented member in mid 1100s)...thought not exactly a very important one. The more surprising to see them be on throne of not like Bohemia or Moravia, but Poland-Lithuania.
Fun fact, the first documented member is VĂtek z PrÄic, where the name also comes from. PrÄice is kinda funny of a name - when you want somebody to go away/leave you alone, you say "Jdi do PrÄic"(Go to PrÄice) as one of the two...less explicit terms to send someone to when you don't want them bothering you.
Yeah, the leader of Poland who died at Varna was also the king of Bohemia and Hungary! Super interesting history
Ming with the Qing dynasty, oof.
3:00 Modern China
A video where every trade node is a nation would be cool
Damn man your turning into old drew durnil
I could never fill his shoes
Ok, now the least valuable trade good
EVERYONE A NATIVE COUNCIL ?
You know you're rich when you have 200+ ducats leaving your center of trade, but you still make over 1k.
How about world with no puppets and personal unions in the begining?
Make it ALL GRAIN next
Ypu should make video with cloves. All trade goods are cloves
