    When starting it always feels like you can't know everything you are taught, but eventually over time you will start to get the hang of it, it's only that, that happens at different times for different people so when you notice that your friend is starting to do well especially in terms of understanding things, don't beat yourself down or start comparing yourself, just know that your time will come too, eventually you all end up knowing the same thing

    My first year had its ups and downs, but I’m honest when I say this I’m glad I got out of it alive and not dead. I think what made it real hard is I got in with already bad mental health so being in a new place with only one close friend and the doctors not being helpful and also being the only one in med school in my family didn’t really help. I felt very lost and isolated and like everyone is wayyyy ahead of me. I’m in my 3rd year and I know a bit how to manage stuff a lot better.

    What classes do you think helped you prepare for medical school? Like which classes helped you build a foundation so everything wasn’t new to you?

    • @bencarusomed
      @bencarusomed  Před 10 měsíci

      All the biology was definitely very good to lay the foundations for a lot thats covered in med school. But out of everything, I would say anatomy and physiology, biochem, cell biology, molecular biology, and genetics are probably the most useful for med school.

    When you put so much ours you should save at least 5 minutes to think if this type of education can make a doctor good or if interns and stuff can more so that you can focus on these later on during the studies
