- Thanks for joining me for my successful medical school application cycle as a nontraditional applicant! This is my second time applying, this time as a Georgetown SMP student, and I am so excited to have been accepted and to get to start medical school this fall!
I hope this video is motivating, especially if you're a fellow nontraditional applicant. I know it can be a very long very hard process, but you can do it!
Sorry for the bits of choppiness at the end! Decided it was best to keep the specifics of where I'll be attending medical school to myself for privacy reasons.
Congrats! Well deserved. I've been watching your channel since your first Georgetown SMP video. Non-trad here as well, and currently going through the application cycle.
Thanks so much! Good luck on your application cycle!
Congrats Doc!
Congratulations!! 🎉
Congrats future doc!!
This was really exciting!! So happy for you!!
Thank you! I feel really happy
WOOOHOOOO
Congratulations! Can you please share your stats and make a video of your application and the entire process? This will help other non-traditional students like yourself. Thanks!
For sure, I was planning on doing a video about my application cycles soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
What is a nontraditional applicant?
A nontraditional applicant is someone who doesn't go right through from undergrad to medical school, but takes gap years, or has to apply more than once. I think it's sort of being used to describe underrepresented applicants to an extent now too, but mostly just means taking gap years.
