- A few fun finds at my Dollar Tree for OCC! Back to school items are slowly starting to appear and that makes shopping at DT so fun! Come along and see what I found for my boxes!

I love these shopping trips with both you and Trish 😁 So an interesting fact I learned from the mom of a recipient in Madagascar is that where she is all children are required to have chalk preschool through high school! I had no idea that was a thing. Her pre schooler had little chalk boards instead of paper.

Thank you for sharing. I just went to a Dollar Tree near a friend's house. I was hoping to find Barbie clothes, Prang pencils and the mini Squishmellows. I didn't find any of those items, but I did pick up more Minnie Mouse figurines and a few journals. I also went by Walmart to check on the socks and underwear, but they aren't on sale here.
Keep trying Patricia. I think the stores are constantly restocking the Prang pencils...but they go quick I think. I was surprised the squishmallows did not go more quickly! I will pray you are able find a few good items soon! Thank you for watching friend!
Wow, I love all the new BTS supplies. I haven’t seen any of those in my stores yet. I especially like the sports erasers, etc. I did pick up the butterfly and daisy cut out journals, the Disney stickers and I found the turbo wheels, big rigs. I love those! Part of the cab is diecast metal, but the rest is plastic, but a nice quality little truck, IMO. I wish I’d find the 6-pack of Gildan socks. That’s an awesome deal. Cute new toothbrushes. Is it just the doodle diary with the peace signs or all the doodle diaries that are one cent? Love the colorful banded notebook that you found and the toothbrushes are adorable. I think the little zippered vinyl packaging of the Scunci hair elastics make it worth the price. Makes a great presentation in a shoebox. Thanks so much for taking us along on your shopping trip. I wish I found more sports erasers. Remember when we got so many from Valentine's clearance? Oh the good old days! Hope that comes back around next year. The big rigs....lol...couldn't think of the name of them...Why do they make only one part in die-cast? I will test one to see what I think. Did you find any doodle diaries today? The school supplies are just slowly starting to hit. They don't have their own space yet....like fourth of July...but blended in with current school supplies. So I think in the next 2 weeks, we will find even more! Happy shopping Trish and thanks for coming along!

I think the Disney stickers having all the characters is due to this year being the100 year anniversary of Disney. Here in the UK I'm seeing much more Disney stuff of all kinds in the shops but its usually quite expensive. Wish our supermarkets/ bargain shops had the range of products yours do ! Nice haul!

@@drogers Yes, I live within walking distance of a shopping centre that includes a Poundland and buy quite a few things from them but they have downsized their toy aisles this year to sell frozen food instead- they make more money that way. And like American Dollar stores- things are now £1.25 instead of a pound, lol. I love to watch your videos- you inspired me to try making themed boxes since 2021 and I love doing them. Keep up the good work ! :)

Those are some cute new finds! I was on vacation last week and went to the DT near the beach and as soon as I got home, the first store I went to was DT. NO luck yet on the TY plush. ☹️ The only "new" things I saw were a couple of the journals.
Well the beach sounds far better than trips to DT imo…😂 Keep trying though on the stuffies. Try different locations. That’s what I do. Thanks for watching Friend!🫶🏻
@drogers ... I know! But between all of us being eaten alive by sand fleas despite the bug spray, 3 jellyfish stings, 1 terrible rash, 1 visit to the ER and the almost daily storms that send you running which are typical for FL, I just had to escape all the fun sometimes and go to a store. 🤪😂🌴

I haven't been at Dollar Tree for a while, so thanks for this video. Nice to see new products or what's in stock. I'm loving the new composition covers at DT! Especially the 80s ones. Love the sports balls erasers. Haha, I do the same, I look through the new delivered boxes at DT. Very nice toothbrushes. I can't believe your DTs still have the 50 count colored pencils! I immediately thought of you when I saw the 80's composition books! They are great graphics! I know $1.25 is a bit high for a composition book but if it is a special one, I would buy it. Thanks for coming along and watching Sharon!
Thanks so much for the shopping trip, Denise. We're going to Houston for a week to sit with the grandcat It's 90 miles away and there are a LOT of Dollar Trees, Dollar Generals, Thrift Stores, etc. I can't wait to see what I can find for SB.

Nice haul! I went to DT yesterday and saw quite a few of these items too! I was left with a few questions. Absolutely LOVE those notebooks. Did you see the one with the animal balloons? I thought those maybe looked like giraffes? I need one for a giraffe box but I left it behind. The butterfly journals are so pretty. Do you think those would be ok for a toddler notebook? I left one that had giraffe ish print with a mushroom behind bc I wasn’t sure. Love the new toothbrushes and all the sports stuff! Didn’t see any of those! Saw a few pens but not all the cute ones you showed! I’m doing care bear today, wish I saw those yesterday. I agree with the new packaging on the magic ink books. They are so much more fun looking! Saw some TY too but I’m so swamped with stuffies! Great find on the doodle diary’s! I’ll check next time. Found some more penny jumbo erasers though 🤣🤣. I bought sooo many of the prang 50 count! I think I have coloring pencils for next 2 years. That is such a great deal. Tom and I watched a movie last weekend and sorted 400 pencils by color 🤣🤣🤣. Lmk what you think about the pretty journals as a toddler notebook. TFS my friend! I’m supposed to be on a shopping diet but these videos are like my cheesecake 🤣
Yes! I think the journals/composition books are fine for 2 - 4's. I checked the butterfly books and they are fine. Cover bends easily and would work great! And the new packaging on the magic ink makes them easier to pack. Less bulk and fits more easily in a standard size box. Now I just have to pack all the ones I already have! LOLOL. So nice of hubby to help you sort the pencils. What a great guy! Truly supportive. Mine would do the same! Thanks for watching friend!

Hi there! I’m kind of new to this. I helped at my church (they collect items and then a few people fill the boxes). But I’d really like to take a few of my grandkids to DT and let them get stuff to each fill a box for a child their age. What are the “must haves” and how much would I expect to spend per box? Thx for any advice you can give!
Also, quick question.. you kept mentioning “special boxes”. What do you mean by that?
It’s wonderful to hear you’ll be packing boxes! God bless you! I refer to a “special” box in the video because it is a themed shoebox I am saving items for. The best place to get ideas for your packing is directly from Samaritans Purse. They have a whole list of suggested items. I try to include: school supplies, hygiene items, a WOW toy, and smaller toys to go with it. I also like to add a tote bag of some sort , a piece of clothing, a coloring book and crayons. To fill a box and make it full you can spend anywhere from $20-$30. I hope this helps a little. Have fun packing!!!
