As far as what the purpose of such powerful hardware on the iPad Pro I would say gaming and all the photo/video editing creating software especially when it come to utilizing the pro raw video / photo content that you can capture on iPhone then edit on iPad Pro
Honestly, the high spec ipads make sense. I know a lot of people in trades that use the iPad for work and run CAD software on them.

I am envious of my daughter’s Samsung! Fantastic photos, great zoom, and love the built in pencil that you can also use to take photo by clicking a button on the pencil. So good for selfies and photos to minimize camera movement.
I’d love for Apple to incorporate this in their design. Also make a folding screen. There was a time Apple was leading technology but now it’s lagging behind.
The entire cellphone market has hit a plateau. There is no reason to upgrade otherwise.

yeah, they want to force phone upgrades. They have already announced this, and are keeping it quiet from any main marketing, only in fine print, and are still selling people iPhone 15. They knew this was their plan before the 15 even came out.
Knowing Apple they’re always late to the game with new features. But when the do release a product or feature it normally is the most flushed out and useful compared to its competitors. I’ll be interested to see if that’s the case here with Apple Intelligence.

Mayyyybe they’re able to reduce recourses needed for Apple Intelligence to function, just like they did with Stage Manager on the iPad. That function would only be able to operate on M1 iPads, but a month later they added it to older versions (which made me friggin happy 😄). Now if that Private Cloud Compute proves itself to really work fast and reliable, I think they might be able to bring it to 13 Pro and newer 😌

Will the new Iphone 16 have super fast charging? Whats the overall battery life like on it? Id like to switch to Apple but i do enjoy the S.F.C speeds on my Samsung S20 Ultra. Just curious. :)

People always complain that the power of the new Apple SOCs is not being used. Same folks complain when new functionally is only available on newer models. 😅
I agree with your comment about the Apple VisionPro, however if you have ever lost a loved one, it is worth every penny you paid for it, just to be able to see your pictures of them in 3D (Vision iOS 2). And the so so quality of “current” spatial video format is still worth the recordings of special moments. I am only hoping the spatial video quality gets better.

It is only available on certain models because it requires a processor capable of supporting the "Apple Intelligence" features.
They explained that AI has been in iPhones for a while and the branding. Apple intelligence is their version of generative AI.
So, basic AI, working in background taking pictures, screen time, HomePods find the best area to project sound, this is what AI they have been using.
Apple Intelligence is generative AI that can be the large language model to.. generate exactly what we want.

The iPad pros are only made for artists and creatives and that’s it! When I’m using a sculpting app and need 2000 layers, I need that chipset or it won’t work. That’s literally the reason why they load these with those specs. If you aren’t using pro level artist apps to create and draw etc then the pros aren’t for you. That’s why Apple has other iPads for normal people to play light games and stream video and to take notes. It’s ok to have different devices for niche things. MacBook airs are for students and casual users and the pros are used for editing videos and movies etc. there needs to be a separation. I agree it would be cool to have the iPad Pro once docked on the keyboard to go into Mac OS but that will never happen because it will cannibalize Mac sales and as a business that would be a stupid decision that could hurt sales. They are all for profit not loses.

I’m already using the iOS beta 18 and I’m loving it.. ❤ one of the good things about scheduling messages is I work overnight and I don’t wanna wake people up so sometimes I will schedule a message to be delivered at 8 o’clock in the morning versus two or 3 o’clock in the morning. And the new SIRI HAS A WHOLE BUNCH OF DIFFERENT VOICES NOW THAT YOU CAN SELECT SO IT’S NOT THE OLD SURREY VOICE YOU CAN ACTUALLY CHANGE IT TO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

Though I am excited for Apple intelligence, I am wondering if it will work across all generations of iPhones. I also think that some of the features are well overdue such as being able to send text messages at a later time, that was definitely one that we have been owed since iOS 16!! But again, I’m excited to see the future of Apple intelligence

I downloaded the ios 18 developer software was hoping for legit customization. To my disappointment the only beneficial thing is the schedule texts. And the little apps dark or light tone or color change. Why can’t they give us Apple theme store so we can have fun with our iPhones smh

I was looking at getting a new iPad Pro and handing down my M1 Pro to someone else in the family. But decided to get aa used M1 Pro, exactly the same as the one I bought new in 2021 now at almost half the price of the new M4 Pro.
As for Vision Pro I like it but don't see a need for it for me right now and cost is a big part of that, if it was 1/2 or less then maybe but I'd rather put that money into a a MacBook Pro 16 and have change.

I wish the iPadOS was more like macOS
There something that know one is talking about that may be an issue.(Storage) with AI features and Apps being stored on Devices is what I been hearing… there was a reason why Apple upped the base storage on this year’s Devices …. So will 128GB be enough storage in a year or 2 with updates and future features and Apps … Apple will probably force us to pay $150 for 256GB for base models Devices in the near future .
Just let me remap double tap on action button to camera..... I don't want to buy another phone for this feature... so lame.
The problem with AI is that it will create Laziness with
no incentive in how to learn.
This must be prohibited within school. It should never be used as a learning tool. Put a book in the kids hands and teach him how to read and comprehend . Also, he must learn the concepts of mathematics.
It should never be used in elementary and junior high school. The ability to use it as an aid in high school. I can understand it should be done with caution. That there will be rules and plates consequences, violated by the student

Doesn’t apple do AI already underneath the hood in the photo app that they don’t call AI and maybe machine learning. Doesn’t the tech world throw the term AI maybe apple has a different view on this? Maybe that’s why they don’t throw the term AI around like other companies. Think I will be waiting to see what comes of the software when it comes out to make my decision. Because it might be different than what people are expecting from Apple Intelligent
iOS 18 is cool on my 14 Pro Max. Think it’ll be even better with the 16 Pro Max with their full AI integration

Apple has always tried to coax consumers into buying the more expensive Pro model. I expect Apple to make Apple Intelligence an exclusively Pro feature.

Read until the end and think about it, Safari don’t load websites very annoying but with chrome straight away, every year people expecting multitasking capabilities and split screen features but never came out,again Android phones have it for years, basically iPhone is trying to coping Android features that they have for years like for example widgets home screen but they do it so poorly not even close…By the way color change icons is a joke is another desperate way to allow the iPhone user to do something on icons when you have it for years a possibility the chance to change the entire icons design on Android phones. Basically what they are doing is put ther phones with the same features but take ages for a consumer get does features on iPhone that’s why people move to Android. People tired to wait years for developments, basically Apple software customization and innovation departments in the last 10 years don’teven close what Android phones offer, even a Android phone released 10 years ago the software is more advanced compared to a brand new iPhone. All this years im still thinking IPhone can have the advanced software that Android phones have it, but Apple is doing this transition very slow so that away not being very noticeable. To be honest every person that have both phones straight away agree with me, basically if you only use Android phone you don’t understand that your phone Operating System is so blast advanced.
On the other hand a person that uses only IPhone don’t understand how basic the IOS iPhone operating system it is compared to Android Operating system software looks like living in a stone age, honestly just to put you in perspective when you use Android phone feels like the Android phone user is already in 2035 at least . But don’t forget when you buy a Android phone don’t buy the cheapest one because you need at least a medium performance processor so you good on average price don’t need to be a top line or a flagship Android phone but if you can affordit better.

I think Apple Intelligence is both playing catch up and too little too late. I will give them Kudos however for including the SE2020 that I use in the phones that will accept IOS 18. Any improvement to SIRI is well over due. Apple also have to stop thinking every client is an Electrical engineer or a Rhodes's Scholar. 90% of their user's do not know how to use these new feature's and they need to make their products User Friendly, which they don't.

Waiting to update after the fall! Looking forward to the future of tech! Still wondering if they are going to go ahead and give the iPad Pro OS usage as the IOS? And Getting rid of the island on the iPhone will be a good change, extra screen looks good with embedded cameras and hopefully next year or two they'll just install all phones with the action button. IOS 18 beta is out, IOS 18 will be out this fall! No biggie!

I don't even care about AI, if it adds some cool stuff then that's awesome, but I never felt like I was "missing it" so far and I've had iPhones since 2010's iPhone 4. I honestly don't pay attention to Samsung other phones anymore, because I don't care. My iPhone does everything I would need a phone to do and more and is 100% reliable for me. I have the entire current Apple Ecosystem so everything just works. I hope this AI thing is cool, I couldn't care either way because I never have problems with my phone as it is and it does everything I need it for and more. I'm 40, and phones aren't like a big deal to me. I'm 100% happy with everything my iPhone does and how it works.
Apple silicon started while Jobs was in charge (in fact the company that owns the IP for these chips was an Apple sponsored start up that they had to sell shares in when they were in the dark years).. They were always looking for the transition point at some point in the future when Ax chips were powerful enough to be an M1 chip. Ascribing that to Tim Cook is absurd.

I’ve been an iPhone user for many years I really think it’s time for a foldable option and I’m trying to hold it for it. I have an iPhone 15 pro, and currently not interested in 16 because it’s not changing that much it seems.
I don't want the thickness of a foldable....that was 20+ years ago....leave it as is...,.,

let me guess that phones going to cost a lot of money and it’s going to be used and made by cheap materials So it’s basically the iPhone 15 And nobody’s going to buy it haven’t actually learned the lesson last time I think they haven’t. It shows how greedy Tim Cook early is and they really shows how companies don’t care about their customers these days that phone will probably be riddled with bugs and even the updates are not going to help. because Tim Cook and the rest of the gadget market has designed these electronic gadgets to have shitty software and they’re already riddled with bugs because they designed it like that yet they’re still forcing everyone to buy it and it doesn’t matter how many dates the phone will handle. It will always be shitty because that’s what these companies do They care more about greed than their customers and yet doesn’t want to understand that a lot of people cannot afford these phones these days plus we already know that they forcefully slow everyone’s phones down. They make the updates so big so that it uses a lot of space in your storage and they are doing that the force people to buy the next phone. We know that they are the ones messing with everybody’s batteries. They are hell-bent on destroying every phone battery with the update. every phone that Apple comes out with they say oh it’s a brand new camera. It’s better than the last one it isn’t. It’s just the same camera with new words or they put the hype on the new camera features which aren’t there they’re never going to give you what you really want, so it’s basically a scam every time they say oh the new phone has a better camera than the last one which is kind of stupid and greedy. These companies really are another thing is that they won’t give you any free headphones or free charging court with it anymore plus I remember the phones used to be 600 bucks and now they’re up to $1000 , but they don’t care and the designs keep on getting boring and the same. They take away things that we loved about the iPhone like the headphone jack or the home button and putting in useless features that really no one actually cares about like I don’t know facial recognition a lot of people don’t know when you buy an apple phone i The circuit board that’s in the phones are already tampered with because that’s what Tim Apple does to their phones. A lot of companies do with their phones, literally saying that that they reduced reuse and recycle, but they don’t if they really did they could literally bring back. I don’t know the iPhone 7 In the iPhone 6, even the fourth iPhone, they could bring back and basically get rid of the phone feature and make it basically an iPod Or how about bringing back And I don’t know making a line of phones for teenagers or for kids to learn how to use a phone like bring back the Keyboard phone back, flip phone, not touchscreen and that they cannot Access TikTok or Any social media apps and make it cheaper for parents Teach their kids how to use a phone properly Or teach them How to be responsible with the phone and with its access before giving them an iPhone thing that could literally bring back the iPod out because most people just wanna listen to music and not pay for service that literally doesn’t have ads or you don’t have to pay seven dollars for free music right there another thing that they could actually do that they can listen to their customers and actually acknowledge what they’re doing and take accountability but we all know that they will never do that because Tim Cook is usually being paid off by politicians or bribing them to escape accountabilities That’s what most of corporations are doing nowadays so if you really want to fix something, how about I don’t know run for Congress or the Senate to fix it to make sure that no more politicians no more

Ok why does it bother some of you CZcams influencers if the iPad pro gets powerful and efficient processor while still being just an iPad? I don't want iPad to be a Macbook. I don't want MacOS on it. But I sure want the iPad apps to run faster, smoother and longer on it. Please stop spreading this false notion that the iPad pro is somehow an incomplete product.
The “power” in the iPad Pro is overkill. They should make the Air and the Mini .

It is incomplete, try moving large amounts of date around. Any macbook is wildly better. And i am sorry but charging basically macbook pro prices for an ipad which still struggles with basic computing and is super limited is just beyond me.
