What a coincidence yea, I was just wondering about how I could get top speed, and you come along with a new video related to such!
Haha well that's worked out well 😁 just don't try the resto glitch version like I did, I thought I'd corrupted the entire save at one point when I couldn't get him to stop 😅
Morrowind's boots of blinding speed were sometimes too fast at 200percent. Once you maxed out your stats it was a lot faster than that
I've never played Morrorwind, were they 200% as in double, or a 200% increase? If it's the latter I can see why, I bet if I'd pushed this to 3x normal speed it would have been difficult to control.
@@mike-thegamingdad In morrowind speed is a stat the boots of blinding speed increases your speed stat by 200
@@hutki_shira thanks 😁
@@mike-thegamingdad Happy to help :)
@@hutki_shira Thought it was 100 speed last I checked.
Wondeful video, I had to do some research once I found out that AE added speed boosting items, thank you for the summary!
A few things I want to add:
The ring of Khajiit works with the fortify illusion bonus, it just doesn't show it on the ring, like how the blessing of talos used to show 0% shout reduction. It will be slower, but still functions.
You can level enchantment way faster in AE, basically the staff enchanter in Bloodchill Manor gives 20x more exp than it should, until you visit Solstheim. So before going there, grab the unenchanted staves out of myrwatch, and the staves from the Arms of the Sun and Moon Quest, or just dupe the staves from Myrwatch, and enchant them. 15 should be more than enough to reach 100 quickly so you don't have to spend lots of time with daggers.
I've never wanted to try a build more, thanks so much!
Thanks very much, yeah a few others have mentioned the stave enchanting method before going to Solstheim. I think I'd attempted stave enchanting myself once to see what it was like, but after I'd already been to Solstheim, as I was gathering heart stones, and I decided the time I saved wasn't worth trying to get the materials for it. I'd completely missed this way of doing it which is lots better 👍🏻
Im glad you enjoyed it, it's a lot of fun, takes a bit of getting used to, especially around settlements, corridors etc awesome out in the open though 😅
Yes, brilliant how you combined the two builds. :)
I bet the movement is best controlled during Slow Time, isn't it?
I think I'd opt for an Orc though; can't get over the mighty Berserker power.
And I love it how you added Dual Flurry in this as at this Speed you won't even need a shield anymore, unless you want to shieldbash people at high speed.
Yeah with slow time active it feels close to what normal speed usually is. Swing speed feels slower unless the shout is active, but then with it active its incredibly fast. Berserker would make this even stronger yeah, and I bet the difference in run speed is barely noticeable
@@mike-thegamingdad So, you walk like normal during Slow Time while the rest is slowed to an almost halt.
Imagine freezing them in time even more with frost magic.
This reminds of me the Volkihar build from 2012.
@Leto85 haha wow yeah I hasn't thought about using frost magic. Could also use poisons of slow, although I feel like this might just be being cruel now 😅.
I don't think I've heard of that build, will have to check it out
@@mike-thegamingdad czcams.com/video/LYpND2PuPHI/video.html Here is the build. And yes, poison of slow would be so cruel. XD
Different rings boost with different methods. I think Warlock's Ring is affected by fortifying Restoration instead of Illusion. Then you get the increased health regeneration as well. Plus the other thing, I think it was a ward during blocking. I don't block much considering my high elf uses bound bow or fists.
Wow, this is amazing! I'm a huge fan of The Flash tv show and Skyrim, so I was supremely entertained. 😂
That's awesome me too 😁🙌🏼
Love the video keep it up mike❤
Thank you 😁
Amazing. When you think you’ve seen it all. Along comes this. Can’t wait to get off work and play Skyrim
This was a very fun few days discovering, testing and building this that's for sure 😅
* nazeem gets turned into cool-aid * I CANT STOP
😂
excellent vid as usual Mike.... you put a lot of work into these and it's much appreciated... esp. paying attention to skill tree perks used at end of video... I thought I had a reasonable knowledge of Skyrim before I started watching your channel, but I've gone up multiple levels watching you 👍
PS I'm playing on a PS4 so mods not really an option!
Thanks Adrian I'm glad you like them 😁 yeah its a lot of work for a 15 minute video, I never really appreciated the hours needed to pull something together until I gave it a go , but I'm enjoying it which is the main thing 😁.
Nice I used to be a PS4 player as well for years, it's a shame Sony don't allow mods in the same way XBox and PC can.
I've also learnt loads since starting this last year, had loads of comments about stuff I had no idea about so if you ever have anything by all means share away 😁
@@mike-thegamingdad ha ha it'll be a while till I have anything 'new' to tell you....ES6 will be out before then! 😂
I originally was a PC gamer but then bought the very first Xbox because of Halo (which was amazing), then via Xbox 360 to PS4 - not worried about spending loads on latest and greatest format because there's so much good content out there on old hardware! I may be tempted back to the darkside when Starfield comes out... 🥳
@@AdrianMcGavockXbox one allows mods, I’m sure you can get one on the cheap
@AdrianMcGavock haha ES6, every year that feels further and further away 😂.
Ah nice, the opposite to me then, although I've never owned an xbox. I had friends who had them so I could get my fill of Halo and Gears of War at their houses. I went Nintendo (SNES probably my favourite console of all time), PlayStation (1-4) then onto PC.
Love builds like these, subbed
Thank you 😁
Brilliant video as always! 👍👍
Thank you 😁👍🏻
This was absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂
Had a lot of fun making this one 😅
Great video!
Thank you 😄
The resto glitch is not bad. You just flew too close to the sun, my friend. Should have been content with a mere 100 to 200% increase.
Haha yeah probably 😂
I remember trying a glitch/loop exploit in _Morrowind_ once... accidentally raised the Personality attribute to 10K+, and an NPC who nornally wouldn't give me the time of day was in my Nerevarine's face uttering fangirl phrases in a worshipful tone of voice. Creeped me out so badly I had to revert to an earlier save.
@@ModdingNewbie haha amazing 😅
Underrated, this is
Thank you 🙌🏼😁
Nice work
Thank you 😁
This was well thought out. You can save a bit of time by doing armor stacking with either the werewolf transformation or by going to prison multiple times.
thank you and cheers for the tip 😁
When inseen the title i smiles from a good place
Amazing video
Thank you 😁
Tip: Never drink a full bottle of soda while waiting outside in the swealtering heat for public transportation. Your stomach will stage a revolt in response.
😅
You can also get the boots of blinding speed from the netch leather quest which doubles your speed.
Nice will have to check those out 😁👍🏻
Amazing!
Thank you 😁
for alchemy u could use falmer helmet and dunmer boots (there are only one pair in game so use em at very end) if u avoiding resto and trying to do this more legit way
I understand the cosmetic appeal of the shock cloak spell, but there's another option to skip destruction leveling entirely. The spell book to learn the flame version is sitting on a Northern beach not far from Dawnstar. A woman tried to learn the spell but unintentionally harmed herself, leaving the spell book available as you leave the Helgen Keep tutorial.
Thanks for the tip that would be a good alternative yes 😁
Bwaaahahahaha…oh my this is great. May be broken, but too much fun not to abuse some of the quirks of Skyrim!
Haha yeah it's definitely one of the easiest games to manipulate the mechanics of 😉😂
I finally got my hands on the Ring of Khajiit and forgot that it was influenced by Illusion potions. I can tell you I had a glorious time when I found out what Creep Cluster, Mora Tapinella, Scaly Pholiota potions do to this ring in combination with double necromage Bloodworm Helm.
Haha I wish I could see that 🤣. Maybe I'll have to try it out 😁
@@mike-thegamingdad You have: it's in this video.
The only thing I haven't added yet is the black book that influences the crafting skills by 10%.
I'm not doing any black book until after the completion of Dragonborn main quest so that Neloth will give an otherwise unobtainable related black book fetch quest.
But even without that, the running speed now is amazing as it is.
@Leto85 of course sorry I was thinking solely of the ring of the wind! It's been a long day 😴😴
1) Why didn't you swap back and forth between Seeker of Sorcery and of Shadows effects from the Black Book. Seeker of Shadows gives +10% (actually just +9 without USSEP) to the power of created potions. You could push it even further.
2) Stability perk from Alteration skill tree and fortify Alteration potions can prolong the effect of Slow Time shout.
Having played around with different % I didn't think it was needed as it can be hard to control in tight areas with the speed higher. Once it got to 3x speed it was quite challenging especially indoors so 2x felt sufficient. By all means play around with it though as you might find higher is better for you 😁. Thanks for the tip about stability! 👍🏻
I haven't been able to get the bloodworm helm to work yet. Feels like it's a bit buggy
Oh really, only thing I can suggest is try check each stage and add the pieces one at a time to make sure it's all working.
Are you a vampire?
If yes, do you have the necromage perk in the restoration tree?
What happens to Enchanting when you Equip the 4 pieces of ahzidals armor (not a helmet) do you see the bonus in the skill tree? It should jump to 110 if not a vampire and 112 if a vampire I think it is.
Then finally I add the helm and check the %'s of potions I drink, there should be a another increase at that point wearing it vs not wearing it
Do you need to have the Bloodworm hem equipped as shown in the example at the end of this video? I wanted to go with an enchanted Jagged Crown instead if possible. Aesthetics, you know. :)
I'll double check as I can't remember, I think we were at 100% shout cooldown anyway without the bloodworm helm, but I can see 😁
@@mike-thegamingdad Thanks. :)
@Leto85 so I've been playing around with this and you don't need the bloodworm helm, it works as intended with or without it equipped. I can't remember why I had that on, I must have been testing necromage effects but I can't remember why now 😅
@@mike-thegamingdad Thank you. In another video I saw someone equipped crafting gear he equipedg the helmet first and last in order to gain its bonus. Apparently the order in which things are done is that important.
The David Martinez build
Mine isn’t giving me a boost to my swing speed. Is there something o have to do to make that happen?
Hey it could be a few things. What % speed boost do you have now? Is your running speed noticeably quicker? What perks do you have in your one handed tree? Are you dual wielding? Do you have any mods installed? In particular the USSEP mod (unofficial patch)?
When I showed the swing speed in this at that point I think my speed was over 100% more. I had all the dual wield perks as well in one handed. I don't have any mods installed. Necromage vampire was set up.
Just trying to see what if anything is different to that. It could be a case of narrowing it down.
What if you drank enchanting potion before wearing enchanting armor? Based on the theory that skill boost potions may affect certain enchantments that might boost the enchantment armor even further. But great video, think I’m gonna test this out after I get to Solstheim(spelling?)
Also throw a dagger in your left hand it speeds up the animation even higher.
@SkyBloopers yeah that might work o can't remember if I tried that or not. Let me know what you find out 😁. You're right about the weapon as well dagger in the left hand should be the way to make it faster
I have one question I forgot to as, and of course it's the most important one: where on Nirth did you even fish up that ring?
So it's classed as rare junk, which means if you fish up something that isn't a fish with a normal rod, you have a small % chance of getting a rare item. If you get hold of the dwarven rod that chance is tripled I think. There's no guarantee what you fish up will be this ite., as there are many different rare items, just got to get lucky haha. Its worthwhile finding the dwarven rod though at the end of the fishing quests. The boosted chance makes a huge difference. I've managed to get all of the new rare items now and it would have taken me far longer without that rod
@@mike-thegamingdad OK, good. I so have all these rods. The last time I've played was right before Pokémon Scarlet came out and I did finish that fishing quest.
Just a matter of just fishing then.
How long did it took you?
@Leto85 I was lucky that this was the second rare item I fished up with the dwarven rod this time. It took me about 20-30 mins once I had the rod. But on my main playthrough, I decided to get them all (I think there is 6-7 rare items to get altogether), and that took me a couple of hours of just fishing at spots until they were dry 😅.
Bear in mind when a fishing spot runs out of fish, rings and other lost items are the only remaining option.
@@chilboswaggins5500 Now that's a pro-tip right there! Thank you.
Thanks, Gaming Dad, though l won't be doing this, it's fun to see another 'wouldn't believe it if l hadn't seen it' moment. I'm sure l was playing skyrim the last time l watched you. If my xbox wasn't such a wuss, l could be back home right now. Play on people, ❤.
Has the xbox given up the fight? 🥀🪦
@mike-thegamingdad It's limping along a couple hours at a time, but I'm wondering if the PS might be better. Now I'm missing the kids and our crazy pets. So much to do:) play on good sir.
He's speed.
He is indeed! 😁
Its builds like this that make me so thankful skyrim is a single player game 😂 imagine trolling your buddy with this shit 😂😂
This in elder scrolls online = chaos 🤣
Where did you find the Elixir Of illusion Potion
"Elixirs of..." start dropping at level 30, I can't remember where I got that specific one, but as you level up the chances of finding stuff with the prefix increases. So 'potion' is level 1, 'draught', starts at level 10, 'philter' is level 20 and 'elixir' is level 30.
Why use a glitch on a speedy ring when I just download a Skyrim athletics mod and let my speed go up naturally.
For that reason, not everyone can or will use mods. It's just a showcase of what can be done without needing a mod
