- Wayne Gardner has always been immortalized as a legend for his years in 500cc Motorbike racing. But what about his motorsport career in australia? Wayne Gardner was one of the most crash prone drivers in the V8 supercar championship, all this earned him the name "Captain Chaos". This video caps off Wayne's tense moments in V8 supercar racing. Out of all that, one incident was caused by Gardner, one where he takes out Skaife at Eastern creek . Every other incident he is the innocent party.
Wayne sertainly got targeted by other drivers, and while he didn't win much, on occassion he was very fast and deserved to have more success than he did.
I got to meet wayne tonight and spend a short time talking with him, what a great guy, one of may all time favorite racers!!
Poor Wayne....Casey Stoner should watch this :)...In saying that Wayne had a lot of bad luck and was a target for other drivers...he was still very quick most days...

He got taken out by Lowndes. Gardner, missed a gear and as lownes came by to pass he moved over on Garnder before he cleared Garnder. They clashed wheels and both were out of the race.
That's a bit unfair. Most of these were caused by someone else punting him off, not the other way around.

MattA1GP a few more than half. And the amount of times he was deliberately taken out was unfortunate as well (Mr I am better than all because I am a World Champion Jones for one...)
