    Apple cares about how the stores looks but not how the employees look because they want customers to interact with real life everyday people instead of robots who speaks according to what the script said.

    I currently work at Apple and I think that Apple cares so much about the stores appearance because our customers have expectations of what it's suppose to look like and what the experience is suppose to be like

    I don't think it would be weird at this point to tell how much Apple used to pay .. For one , it's in the past , for two it's probably changed since then , for three since its retail , it might be nice for people to get an idea that might be applying for places right now .. I know I applied to work at Tories and was hired but they paid 8.50 an hour ( this was about two years ago ) and I had to turn them down because that wouldn't be enough to feed my cat lol .

    • @vadisrad
      @vadisrad  Před 8 lety +2

      +madamepalmtree yeah, I just don't feel like it's anyone business though. plus, not everyone got paid the same. & all stores are different. but to give you an idea, it's more than double the number you mentioned.

    I had 5 interviews for a part time technology specialist at an apple store by me! after the 5th interview they send me a generic ass response "we decided to pursue other candidates" robot response...Il never apply at an apple store or buy another apple product in my life. They literally wasted my time about a month and a half going to interviews for a store 30 mins away (18 miles) back and forth 5 times! Money and gas! Interview orders went like this...1st Group interview, 2nd Genius Bar Manager, 3rd Another Genius Bar Manager, 4th Store Team Leader, and last 5th was a Market Leader smh! If they dont like you they should tell you from the first interview not lead you on then hit you with a generic lame response.

    Not sure if you can answer this, we don't have an apple store near by, closest is like 3 hours away. My son locked himself out of his ipod touch and can't remember the email, password, or any of the questions he put in (i set it up for him originally but he went and changed all that). Is it possible if I drive 3 hours for an Apple person to unlock it for him or is it useless? Thanks!! I love story time BTW!!!

      Marisa S look up how to to put your iPod Touch in DFU mode I know on some of the older models all you have to do is turn it off and hold some buttons wide starting up and it puts it into recovery mode after that all you need to do is restore it in iTunes. Also if you're signed in to iTunes you should be able to see your email.

    • @MarisaAndChew
      @MarisaAndChew Před 8 lety

      I have tried to do a hard reset by holding buttons, using software etc. It will not allow anything to happen without logging in. I just want to know if an Apple employee will be able to help it if I bring it 3 hours one way to an apple store or if its a loss? I have done everything I possibly can on my own :( I have done the hard resets on other devices but this one just won't go past needing a password. It says it will send the recovery to an email that none of us know or have access too, very frustrating circle. I am sure my son just typed in random stuff :(

    I just would like to ask you if you noticed someone who wasn't an American in all of those meeting you had. Is Apple open minded about that?
    Did you have a coworker who would speak another language or someone who would be able to help someone who doesn't speak English?
    What I mean is, I really want to work for Apple and the point of speaking two languages, I think, is something that would make some difference.

I win contests for my company and almost always get 100% on our companies secret shopper program. With that said in your personal opinion what would you say my odds are of getting a job at Apple? My family and I are moving in a few years down south and I'm looking to get out of the grocery store aspect of retail but I enjoy helping people and I'm often called by my wife an Apple snob lol. Probably so the employees don't feel that they can't let out their own character. I think customers would feel like there was a barrier if they felt the employees were being fake with who they really are.

    Many apple retail employees, depending on the state, start off around $9-$12 an hour. If you want to have a good consistent job with good pay I would apply to the Apple headquarters or at home advisors. You START off at around $19. Honestly people who answer the phones make more money besides being a genius bar tech, you can make up $32 as a genius bar tech. Retail is bullshit.

    I think they have a loose policy on what employees look like as they do not want to discriminate on anyone and additionally it adds the illusion that all different types of people use Macs. Not just perfect people but normal people too.
    And you Vanessa I think you should make a second channel. Originally I said f*** it just keep it all one channel but I don't really watch any of your makeup videos and would probably watch more of your videos over all if you have a different channel. I'm actually making a second channel myself.

    • @vadisrad
      @vadisrad  Před 8 lety +14

      haha no. you're not just "selling a phone." (at least with Apple) there's a lot that goes into it. you don't just "read a piece of paper." you have to know how to interact with a customer, build a relationship, figure out their needs, etc. my guess is you've never had a job in customer service.

    Unfortunately, the workers at Foxconn do not feel the same way. They are so overworked and underpaid, its disgusting (and I love Apple and their products), but they shouldn't treat employee that way, no matter where they are in the world. Recently, Foxconn is talking about moving the production to another country due to all the employee deaths (mostly suicide) from the pressure that Apple puts on the Foxconn employees. Sad, but true.
